3  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: [SHOP] SimpleRigResetter - Auto resets HANGED rigs - available now !!! on: March 09, 2017, 08:45:42 AM
The rig is up and connected to SRR (status is green circle).

So I left it alone - since it green and online, and already assigned slot # and rig number at smOS SRR menu.

It should be sending I am alive pings so green circle prooves that.

Citronick so is everythin all right and working with This other motherboard ?
Can you make manual reset from SRR Tool and circle turns red and then green and it actually reboots ?
If yes, please confirm it once again and also can you make photo how you connected it to see what was wrong ?

Will revert as soon as possible when I visit the warehouse later today.

The status is still green so nothing unusual yet - however, I do want to test like what you describe above to make sure than its working just like the Asrock mobos.

I have 6 rigs with this Biostar Racing Z170-GT7 motherboard.

The other rigs are all Asrock H81 Pro-BTC so no issues there - SRR works perfectly.

A bit off-topic but how do you manage your H81 PRO BTC Rigs for HDMI's?
Are you using splitters? Mine wont turn on and shows no signal instead.

Thanks.

Marvel - You wouldn't have this issue if you had more powerful PSU!  HAhahaha........  7 x 470 and you can't power it?  COME ON, stop buying 1KW PSU!! The FANs are waiting.  Shut down another rig and bring another baby PSU over to help.  Just kidding.    Thanks for the update. You make me very happy as I have 15 of these.

4-5KW Baby 4-5KW Baby!  Holla at Finksy, time for a upgrade.  I have 5 on the way in preparation for VEGAs and 2 for Protypes.

A little PEEP Show of my progress.  I'm ALL ABOUT DA BASS!!!!!!!!!!! THE CRYPTO BASS!  5th Rack is 50% populated with GPUs on the way to fill em.

6th reserved for the VEGAAAAAAAAS!

Hi,

what exact is the model of server rack that you are using?

Also, are you throwing the hot air up the rack? or from the front?

Thanks

Yeah i readed but main thing aws to ask the amn for thatt thing wit the ethpool with what Mh he mines Smiley

I mine with 500mh  I hit a block every 5 days

I hit an uncle the other day

If you mine with 100mh figure 25 days for each block

Hi philipma1957, i don't understand this!

Can you please explain? Are you referring to Solo mining in this case?

IF someone mines @ 2.5GH+, what's the best way to go for?

I see ethermine and ethpool have different pay status, one pays uncle only, don't understand.

If you can please give a short brief!

Thanks

As I am writing this, I just won a 24 port HP Procurve Enterprise switch for $3 plus 17 shipping.  Hahaha.  Great for backup in my office.  I don't need anything beyond 10/100 for mining.

P.S If you have DSL and you're forced to use their Router / DSL Modem, that could cause some headache if it's underpowered once you have over 20 hosts.

Procurve for 20 bucks -- omg - you da man!

Btw, thanks to you... my first Rosewill case just arrived.
Plenty to experiment here and hopefully tidy up by warehouse and get those temps down.

Hi Citronick!

What case did you get buddy?
How difficult is the modifying process?

This info will be of great help, Cheers!

@ Citronik, since it's 1 Warehouse, I think it's best to have 1 big Core switch like Bhugatti's recommendation of the 48 Gigabit Cisco.  I have that switch but the older 10/100 which great but I think the Gigabit one is much better as it can handle negotiation better with newer switches.  It does P.O.E as well so you can power your security camera via Ethernet which is anothe plus.  Put it in a location where it is easy to run to other devices.  If your warehouse is not massive, the distance should be well within the latency range.  I run from garage to Shed which is over 100 ft wires, and no latency issues.  Best part is that it's super Cheap and is Enterprise class even better than Biz class.

Yes, people are reporting great results with SRR.  Mine is coming soon and I can't wait.  Right now I'm trying to see when the Expansion pack will be available.  My goals is to use multiple SRR bases.  One for each of my Rack so that if a client wants to reboot or work with their Rack, they can do so without asking for my assistance.  For my Shed it would require just 1 base SRR and 1 Expansion pack.  The APC haven't help me save any money, if anything, it cost me over $600 more for the 6 APC over using my more powerful Dell PDUs that I already have.  The more rigs you have, the more likely 1 of them is going to act up.  SRR will pay for itself very fast.

@ darkshaddows - Rosewill cases.  I do everything myself as it's too expensive to buy prebuilt nor would that solution meet my need for the Furies.  One man show.  However I break it down to assembly line type style where even my kids and wife can help move the line and I get things done in 1/4 the average time someone else would do these.  I will discuss that assembly line in later.    I do have a demanding full time job so efficiency is a must because at the end of the day, I must still leave some time to enjoy dinner with my kids and wife plus walk my wonderful Dog.

If possible, can you link us to the cases? Will try it out.

Cheers

Hi,

Love your thread!
What cases are you using for the rigs to mount them into the rack?

Are you getting them pre-configured(to install GPU Rigs) or do all the stuff yourself ?

Thanks

9  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: PandaMiner Launches Global Sales! on: February 22, 2017, 07:52:16 AM
This company is news to me, as well as the products provided by them. I realize there are good options for people who want to mine altcoins, but I'm not sure if that would be better than building my own mining rig. Is anyone getting good results from this? Is it possible to have better results than mining with conventional mining equipment?

This miner is not for many people.

It has two big strengths

1) smallest 8 gpu miner in the world.
2) Preassembled.

If you don't need preassembled or tiny size don't buy it.

+1

Not everyone knows or have the time to setup the rigs themselves.
Pandaminer is simply a Plug and Play type of miner.

Waiting for their second batch now!
