Sad to see altminer leaving the pool business. Changed to Uniminer after their recomandation, hope that works out ok  I am mining on uniming pool and everything is ok. It have been a good experience for so far. Happy that i found a new decent pool so fast, would consider maybe mining something else if not But just like holding have been a good strategy i hope that holding on to lux mining will work out the same in the long run. But the developers have alot to work out at the moment (which also explains lower hash/price -but price is falling for everyone so..) Seems that all alts are dropping , most seem to go back to a ~nov '17 marketcap ,- Lux just had a ' cryptopia' delay. Seriously, I will be happy as a pig in mud when Lux will be on a different exchange. Why not Lykke ? They ask only 2BTC to register . And are serious. And European. ( yes I'm European too ) |

Just wanted to let everyone know that the LUX team is hard at work, despite some of the haters in here giving us a hard time  We're extremely focused on fixing wallet issues, and adding new features and are currently in the top 20 projects on github according to Cryptomiso. https://www.cryptomiso.com/months_3.htmlAnd there is plenty more to come of course!!   I am confused now. So you are not focusing anymore on Luxgate ? Or a new exchange ? Just on fixing the wallet ? Seems to me that quantity in your case, does not say it all. And I'm not trying to tear you a new one, just observation, and , that Luxgate was the thing that differentiates Lux from the others, and was what I am / was exited about. Will Luxgate still be coming ? |

There is no blockchainexplorer, no links to anything on the homepage, nog working mining pools. No 'puredex' Anything to add ?

Toen die van 10.000 naar 20.000 ging, riep iedereen oh BTC gaat naar 100.000
Nu roept iedereen dat ie naar 5000 gaat.
Zo te zien is hij al aan het stabiliseren.

Overheid = hele grote groep mensen , die een hele bevolking geld afhandig maken, en die bevolking wijs te maken dat dat de enige manier is, en ze onmisbaar zijn. Blockchain zou daarin heel wat kunnen veranderen, zonder dat ze het tegen kunnen houden. Natuurlijk schijten ze in hun broek. Ik durf er zelfs om te wedden dat er meer aivd-ers dit forum in de gaten houden als dat ze boeven proberen te pakken.

Ik denk niet dat Korea FUD de hoofdoorzaak is; China / VS / EU - FUD telt hier ook mee.
Wat ik al aangaf: het zijn nu de late instappers die uitstappen omdat ze geschrokken zijn van alle negatieve berichten in de media.
Mede door de positieve berichtgeving in de media eind vorig jaar zijn heel veel mensen ingestapt - zonder zich er in te verdiepen. Nu er heel veel negatieve berichten in de media staan - waarbij de headlines vaak volkomen misplaatst zijn, maar ook de artikelen zelf betreurenswaardig onvolledig/onjuist, schrikt men en stapt weer uit. En paniekverkoop geeft een prijsdaling.
Berichtgeving: "verbod op bitcoin" moet zijn "aan banden leggen ICO" / "wantrouwen tegen bitcoin" moet zijn "wantrouwen tegen tether" / etc. etc. etc. +
Het was mij ook eerder om aan te geven dat er na eerdere stijgingen flinke dalingen zijn geweest.. het komt uit een ander topic en niet mijn inzichten. De media is inderdaad flink omgeslagen na al het positieve, weer terug bij af en erger. Je kan willen dat door duidelijkere benaming van waar de fout zit in de berichtgeving dit rechtgezet kan worden, maar mensen snappen het amper, verschil tussen bitcoin en ICO is er voor de meesten niet.. alles is bitcoin. Kijk maar naar het 'SmartBlockchain' debacle op tv laatst, tenenkrommend en half nederland knikt braaf mee.. Ik kijk geen televisie meer, welk progamma, zender was dat ? |

First off , Bitcoin will always have value, even when it will not be no1 in marketcap , or be used daily in everybodys lives, in 200 years it will at least be part of someone's coins collection. As I am sure many will be lost due to mechanical failures, or just plain human stupidity, it will become rarer and rarer.
As far as marketcap, I am sure Ethereum will take the crown, maybe as soon as early 2019. Only because of the sheer number of ico's coming out now based on ethereum. And if the integration of POS turns about to be succesful ..boom.
Will ether keep the crown ? Man who knows ? Before 2009 there was no Bitcoin , maybe in 2020 we will have no money anymore because we will all be controlled by the AI -blockchain.?
In the end, it comes down to what everybody thinks will be the best. Right now a lot of people think Bitcoin is it. As crypto will see mass adoption , bitcoin will be evrybody's first, because they have all heard about bitcoin. If the majority of the people decide to buy tomorrow, and someone tells them it will be better for them to buy ethereum, they'll think that that person is trying to con them " Ether ..what ? " Just try talking about crypto to..EVERYONE you meet , EVERYWHERE .

Came here to find more info on hashgraph. Apparantly no one knows anything more. Don't think this will go anywhere, however good the tech may be. It is closed, centralized ... Look at tcp/IP , not the best protocol around at the time, but it saw mass adoption. This will never see mass adoption when closed and centralised . Anyone think different ?
