1.35G/H Tongue All aboard the graintrain... Wake up cryptsy and get this added.

I think its just some ppl makin sure they don't miss the boat incase it gets big. surprisingly lots of hashing power though, maybe dogecoin just crashed lol..

paladin ok but its just .3% /mo right? 5%/year?

and where can we see the network hashrate?

True - but that is a LOT of power for GPU's. Perhaps someones testing out their prototype asic Wink Either way, bodes well for GRA

Net hashrate is showing as 744M/H...

Can anyone confirm that this is accurate? If so - AMAZING Cheesy

Nobody in their right mind would give you 10 million GRA for $50... That probably doesn't even cover electricity costs...

Looks like support for this coins growing pretty rapidly.

If it doesn't end up on an exchange by late Jan I'll set up a small exchange to allow trades between this and BTC + LTC so we can at least commence trading on a smaller scale.

Oh how I love super blocks Smiley

On a more serious note, It may be worth us considering using some of the 1% pre-mined to promote the coin. There's a number of things we could be doing, namely getting a professional site + proper domain set up (I'd be happy doing the work for GRA), setting up a chinese site / forums and getting the word out there on blog posts etc.

There's a lot of guys out there that'd likely help us promote the coin in return for some GRA which could be taken from the pre-mined - with a view to getting us on an exchange asap so we can get trading properly rather than using forums + escrow.

There's obviously a growing community behind the coin and the net hash rate is one of the highest out there on the scrypt side of things, there's no reason it shouldn't make it to a real exchange. There's also a fairly wide distribution of coins - which is one of the key factors of a coin being successful.

If anyone's looking to help the coin make a quick win and get on cryptsy there's a few key ways:

1) Click like here and leave a comment: https://cryptsy.freshdesk.com/support/discussions/topics/44936
2) Spread the word on forums + blogs - get grain coins name out there
3) Drop cryptsy a support request and ask them to add the coin (support tab on left hand side of the site).

Just heard the first rumour (that I'm aware of) that GRA may be getting an exchange listing in the new year. Unconfirmed as of yet so will hold off on spilling details, but it's a promising sign. Meanwhile net hashrates gone up Smiley

That would be awesome.

Agreed - Like I say, not confirmed yet, but it sounds fairly promising... soon as it become public knowledge (assuming it goes ahead)  this place will be the first to know. In the meantime lets all keep mining and hope!

Fork pool's working well, whilst its a shame there's temporary problems with the original pool it's actually likely a good thing - mining will be split across more pools going forwards... Yet another improvement Smiley

http://gra.forkpool.com/ now its work fine. 3 blocks confirmed.
Payout system work. (Proportional!)

Ptjames thanks for testing!!!! No fee for you at all time.

Cheers! Smiley My pleasure - would rather like to see this coin take off, which it looks like it is doing.

Also voting for this logo - looks fantastic.

Be nice to develop some services that accept graincoin - I run a hosting company, currently looking into how feasible it is to accept graincoin and also ZET.

Also done - strongly believe this should be listed on an exchange. It's like premium bonds meets cryptocoins Smiley

Guys, would be great to get an official website up and running to help promote the coin - ideally focusing on the fact it's fun to mine as that's a pretty unique selling point.

Are there any plans to get a site up? If not I'd be happy to get on it...
16  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][GRA] Grain - New PoW/PoS coin | Fast, secure, super bonus blocks on: December 11, 2013, 05:54:13 AM
I love this coin - it's actually fun to mine, which for me makes it stand out against other coins.

I'm quite interested to see how the 5% interest feature will work out too - sounds promising.

Network hashrate (curently 60/mh) is probably high enough to see this coin onto an exchange pretty soon if it's sustained.

+1 for a multibit client, though I'm afraid I probably don't have the dev skills to help out on it.

I swear cryptsy is my only form of exercise... My pulse never drops below 180 when I've deposited LTC...

Let me guess - converting ltc into sbc?

I'm doing the same, and yes - 24 confirmations later it still isn't in... don't sweat, cryptsy's favourite past time is watching people get nervous...

They're going to make a mini fortune off that one - wish I had the capital to do it. Unfortunately all I have are big GPU rigs.

Might have to point another quad 7990 rig at stablecoin - struggling to justify pointing it at anything else.
