1  Other / Politics & Society / Re: corruption and education on: October 21, 2018, 02:59:43 PM
These issues are mostly related to the countries in transition and the developing parts of the world. However, in many developed countries, corruption is also endemic within education. Namely, corruption entered this area and seriously endangers schools and universities. Corruption in the education sector can be defined as “the systematic use of public office for private benefit, whose impact is significant on the availability and quality of educational goods and services, and, has impact on access, quality or equity in education” (Hallak and Poisson, 2002). Unfortunately, very little research has been carried out to compare the costs of corruption in the education sector.

Use what you have in common. Beautiful girls aren’t just beautiful; they have interests, hobbies, and opinions. Finding something that you both have in common gives you something to talk to her about. You don’t have to stalk her, just look around to see what you have in common that you can use to initiate a conversation.

US Confederacy 1962-65. During the Civil war, the Confederacy of southern states found itself short of finance (it could only raise 46% of the cost of war from taxes and bonds) so it increased the printing of money to pay for materials and soldiers. However, with economic output falling, this caused inflation of 700% in the first two years of war and reaching a peak of over 5000% by the end.

Bitcoin is inherently traceless, a quality that made it the ideal currency for facilitating drug trade on the burgeoning internet black market. It was the equivalent of digital cash, a self-governing system of commerce that preserved the anonymity of its owner.
5  Economy / Economics / Re: World economy, what do you think? on: June 04, 2018, 10:19:11 PM
Global policymakers are worried about more than conflict over trade. They also see an emerging series of financial imbalances and risks that could cause, or worsen, the next downturn.
6  Economy / Economics / Re: What is the problem of trust in projects? on: May 22, 2018, 03:52:24 PM
Trust is the foundation for all relationships within a project. Without a minimum level of trust, communication breaks down, and eventually the project suffers in the form of costs increasing and schedules slipping. Often, when reviewing a project where the performance problems have captured the attention of upper management, the evidence of problems is the increase in project costs and the slippage in the project schedule. The underlying cause is usually blamed on communication breakdown. With deeper investigation, the communication breakdown is associated with a breakdown in trust.

Secondly, Russia. Unfortunately, Russian imperialism has been slowly growing under Putin’s influence. Obviously we know about the rigged referendum in Crimea, but Russia took Chechnya, too, back in 2000. They’ve been helping out Assad in Syria, and, like North Korea, have invested valuable resources into the military rather than social issues.
8  Other / Politics & Society / Re: what is the definition of success? on: February 12, 2018, 10:17:47 AM
Success is different for everyone. What success is for one person might be completely different for someone else, much like happiness. Success certainly isn’t money, just ask the majority of people with money and they will give a different definition of success than those with less money.
