Has anyone started mining Gulden with the new software release.  From what I'm understanding is SIGMA allows you to mine Gulden on your computer.  I have not seen any instructions on how to do this.  Can someone please send me the instructions on how to mine using your wallet or walk me through the process?

seems like Gulden is just copying the blueprint from Dash. Dash allows coin holders to receive part of the block reward and also uses part of the rewards to pay for marketing.  Hopefully Gulden shows where the rewards are being spent.  These new rewards being pulled out of the mining should be used to market Gulden also.

wow what the heck happend to Gulden?  You go on the slack and there is no English spoken there.  Bitcoin has more than tripled in the last few months and Gulden has gone down.  Has everyone at Gulden just given up?  I remember before they were always trying to speak English and seemed to have a lot going on.  Now it just seems dead.  I remember Gulden was in the top 100 coins.  I figured it would move up the rank once the huge software release came out.  Today it's ranked 464.  It seems like in a few more months Gulden may not be worth anything.  Well it looks like Bitcoin may soon hit 20,000 and Gulden may go below 1 cent when that happens.  Gulden seems like a good coin with good development but the price doesn't lie, people don't have an interest in Gulden anymore.  I invested because I believed Gulden had huge potential.  Damn well i guess we all have to learn from our mistakes.  Makes no sense to sell at this low of a price.  Anyone have a logical reason why Gulden is not following the price of Bitcoin up this time?

I'll  be honest I asked a lot of questions on slack and most of them got his attention.  His responses were a little rude, but i didn't get banned. At the end it got his attention and maybe made him think twice about his decisions.  When people in here just argue about how they hate him instead of focusing on Gulden it makes his moves to ban look like the right move. What I don't get is if you truly hate him that much then why bother with Gulden?  I don't need to like the guy to appreciate Gulden, but if it bothered me that much Gulden isn't the only crypto in town.  I'll admit he could work on the way he talks to people but he is definitely not as bad as people make him seem here.  Anyways focus on Gulden and how to make it better.

Awesome now bittrex talk about leaving can finally be put to rest.  Great decision Rijk.  I hope a few people in this chat can maybe now cut him some slack and we can finally talk about Gulden again.

A few questions for this group.  How do we get people to start talking about the things Gulden has that are being done right?  Witnessing, user friendly, secure against a 51% attack.  Or does everyone only care about price?  Well anyways I created a basic website about Gulden.  i did it for fun. I never done a website before so I will get better at it.    If anyone wants to help me make it better please feel free to make suggestions.

A few days ago I stated this on this forum, " You go to the developers link in the gulden website it does explain more details.  When someone sees developers they are going to think that link is for people who want to develop programs for the coin not where to get general information."

Went to the website to update wallet and saw developers now changed to technology.  Awesome.  Technology makes much more sense.  Thanks to whoever saw my confusion and updated the website.  It's little things like this (listening to users) that gains the support of users.  I know things are somewhat negative right now but maybe if the message from the man behind Gulden is "we developed a great coin and we are constantly working on making this coin better.  We are trying to find ways to get new users to this coin.  We need the community to work together and find creative ways to gain new users and show everyone how great this coin is.  Together we can make Gulden great."

The message I see right now is we had a poll about Bittrex and even though the community voted not to leave 70% to 30% we still keep suggesting to leave.  You want to win people over ask their opinion and make sure you follow through on what their opinion says.  If you don't care for their opinion don't have a poll asking for it.  Rijk needs to be a great leader and that is not always trying to force your opinion on others it's getting the users to back Gulden.  If users want to stay on Bittrex support their decision because that's their decision.  If users want marketing, help them out to get Gulden marketed.  Rijk you are very passionate about Gulden and that is awesome, but use your passion to work with the opinion of users who also share your passion and want Gulden to be successful.  I know someone at Gulden is listening so I will keep giving my 2 cents.

Thanks again whoever at Gulden listened to my previous post.

It is looking really bad for Gulden.  How low will this coin go?  It's currently at 3.88 cents and seems like it's heading lower.  I was really hoping the latest 2.0 software update and witnessing would make this coin more valuable.  Wow was I wrong.  There is no transparency on what is going on with this coin. I heard they are going to add USD to nocks, no update on that and it never happend.  I hear there will be a big marketing campaign once software update released, no update it never happend.  Now there is a stupid poll about bittrex.

The problem with this coin is there is no discussion about branching outside of Netherlands.  There is a huge market in the U.S. but it seems like nothing is being done to branch out.  Gulden has potential, but it just doesn't have people with a marketing background advertising how great it is.  You can't rely on people in the Gulden community with no marketing skills to create any successful marketing campaigns.

I was comparing the gulden website to other coins with a higher market value and it was easy to see the difference.  Other coins make it easy to see what their coin does well, it shows merchants that accept their coin and tons of videos explaining why the coin is unique.  The Gulden website has zero videos, and not a real clear explanation on the features of the coin. You go to the developers link in the gulden website it does explain more details.  When someone sees developers they are going to think that link is for people who want to develop programs for the coin not where to get general information.  Why is the Gulden website so poorly designed. Where is the explanation on witnessing and how Gulden is safer than any other coin against an attack?  How the Gulden blockchain is faster than Bitcoin blockchain with transactions?  There are a lot of good things to mention about this coin but the website doesn't really convey that message.

Sorry for being negative but it's coming from frustration on expecting good things to happen with Gulden and that expectation is wrong.  I hope behind the scenes there are plans to try and get  mass adoption of this coin.  If not this coin will never realize it's potential.

Currently there is   408,00,000/48,000,000 = 11.7% of coins being witnessed.  What does everyone predict will be the average amount of coins being witnessed? Still a lot of people creating accounts and locking coins for witnessing.  With 20% of all mined blocks going to witnesses and with more and more coins being locked, what will it take for the witnesses to drive the price up?  What was the number of accounts and coins people expected to be witnessed, was it above or below everyone's expected expectations?

Does anyone know if there are plans for Nocks to allow purchasing Gulden with USD.  I am from the United States and I am trying to convince others to invest but their problem with Gulden is they say it is only used for the Netherlands.  How can I convince others around me to buy when there are no stores that accept Gulden in the United States and Gulden can't be purchased with USD.  I explain to them you have to buy Bitcoin then with that Bitcoin you can buy Gulden.  There point is why would I go through all that hassle.  I remember reading Nocks was working on adding USD, but I it's been a while since I heard an update on if that is still going to happen.

This question goes to someone with some knowledge of crypto investors.  There has been some fundraising campaigns to advertise Gulden.  Footgolf is the big one that just got funded.  It didn't seem to be to successful getting the Gulden name out there, i could be wrong.  I believed Jean-Luc mentioned it cost money to get an article on cointelegraph.  Would getting an article on cointelegraph be helpful in getting the Gulden name out there and show the crypto community all the good things Gulden offers?  What is the best way to advertise how good Gulden is?  Advertising ideas would be appreciated.

Started with gulden a year ago.  I could no longer ignore all the bitcoin articles that popped up a year ago.  So I investigated which coins to try.  I bought some bitcoin.  Was not happy with bitcoin, it took forever for the confirmations to complete (hours).  I tried another coin bitbean (now called bean cash), the wallet took days to sync, not happy.  I bought gulden based off the white paper.  Gulden wallet synced fast (less that 30 minutes with 2.0 update), had a nice iphone app, great community, and a huge update with 2.0 coming, very happy with Gulden.  Gulden seemed superior by far so I decided to invest in Gulden.

Everyone kept talking about how the pow2 update could not be pulled off.  It happend after waiting forever, but it happend.  now it's here and instead of going up the value actually went down.  Gulden seems to be a coin that is doing a lot of things right and is useful.  What do people want when investing in crypto coins? Is gulden going to continue to do things right and never be excepted by the crypto community or is it just a matter of time before people realize this coin is actually undervalued?  i still have faith in Gulden but when things don't make sense it gets frustrating.  Is cryptocurrency just being invested in to make a quick dollar or do people actually invest because they think it has real world use?

My 2 cents.  some people on this thread share good information and share good ideas both positive and negative.  But others just say nonsense.  If you have no interest in this coin then why waste your time making stupid comments.  I see the frustration, everyone wants the update to be released because everyone knows the price will shoot up.  Will Gulden be around in a few years? My opinion yes.  I don't feel that way about a lot of crypto coins.  If you don't think Gulden will succeed then don't invest.  Rijk made it clear his interest is to make Gulden successful as a coin  that everyone will use.  Do you believe him, if so support Gulden and back the decision that he is doing the right thing.  If not sell all your coins and invest in a coin you trust.  I asked questions on slack and Malcolm and Rijk answered and seemed pretty cool.  Maybe I'm wrong maybe i'm right, but I truly feel Gulden has the potential to be a game changer in the crypto world.

Some good discussions going on today.  I see both sides.  one side states they miss deadlines by a huge amount of months and give very little feedback as to the reason for the delay.
On the other side they do say they are doing their best to ensure the update works perfectly before they release.
Either you believe the dev team that they truly care about doing the right thing for the update and will let their work speak for themselves.  If you believe in the project being successful and eventually released with no issues then it doesn't matter if it is delayed.  on the other hand if you expect to make a profit in the near future it can be frustrating when they miss their deadline.
I bought several crypto coins and tried using them and i saw that Gulden was way easier to use then the other coins i tried. Do your research not just with Gulden but compare to other coins.  How easy is it to use, do they have phone apps, is their coin secure, is their coin fast to send and receive, see what other projects are going on for other coins and how long they take to release.  I think the release will come, but I think it might be a few more months.

The minimum amount of coins is 5,000 coins to witness.
