1  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / What would you do to recover your losses? on: March 19, 2019, 12:41:27 AM
You have a long list of altcoin portfolio that have tanked down by 90% since you participated in the ICO.  What was $5000 is now worth $500.  You are at a loss of $4000 and there happen to be an upcoming token sale that is pretty hyped.

You are in desperate need to recover your losses and you plan to invest in that hyped token sale in hope that you can earn 5-10x.  Would you:

1. Pump fresh fiat out of your pocket into the token sale or
2. Trade off the the altcoins you have for BTC/ETH and invest into that hyped token sale.

Share your thoughts.

3  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Is the Bitcoin RSK Smart Contract already working? on: October 14, 2018, 08:18:24 AM
So yesterday I came across 2 projects that will be doing their token sale using Bitcoin RSK smart contract.  I haven't gone through the details of the project yet and I thought of getting some discussion going on here first.  The projects are:

1. Temco: https://www.temco.io
2. Meritt: https://www.meritt.co

Is the RSK already proven to be working? How will this affect the future of Bitcoin?  I would like to get some inputs from the forum members here.  Thanks in advance!

5  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Rolls Royce is accepting bitcoins on: September 09, 2018, 05:23:29 AM
I came from Malaysia.  Earlier this year, a car distributor made an announcement that they are accepting bitcoin as a form of payment.  Also, they was a property sale was done in bitcoin.  Both of these were published in the local newspaper.  This is good news for crypto.
6  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: I LOVE PANIC SELLERS on: September 09, 2018, 05:20:36 AM
To me this is both love and hate.
I hate them because they are causing further dumps in price.  I love them because if they dont dump, I wont be able to accumulate at lower price.

Sign up for airdrops and do bounties.  I have tried doing 30 bounties at a time but it was very time consuming.  Now i have cut it down to 12-15, and I need easily 2 hours a day.
8  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Are ICOs gonna end someday ? on: September 08, 2018, 12:43:46 PM
Blockchain will definitely will not end but startups/icos might end.  There is a huge possibility that all the big corporate giants will do their own blockchain projects without even raising funds from the public.
9  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: HITBTC withdrawal fees on: September 06, 2018, 01:10:20 PM
Binance has been the best exchange to me.  With BNB, you only need to be less than 0.1%.  Withdrawal seems reasonable.  I have tried many other exchangea but I will stick to Binance. For DEX, I use Switcheo.

Is there a place that I can make a report against the Bitcointalk members that cheat so that they can be banned from this forum?
12  Other / Archival / Spotcoin Exchange on: July 16, 2018, 07:14:32 PM

This is how Spotcoin will be different compared to other existing crypto exchanges.   You can read more details in this article.  What do you think about this type of exchange?  Will you use it?
13  Other / Archival / Re: Unpaid Bounty Effort on: July 13, 2018, 06:19:27 AM
Is this really reliable information? really ImpressioLTD it a scam? if I'm really surprised, when Needmoney's classmate can scam the project I'm really disappointed with this

yes it is.  the website is now empty, the telegram chat has been taken over by i don't know what.  a lot of investors got pissed off and this is actually giving a bad image of blockchain industry to the public.  it is sad that people are using ICO as a way to scam.
14  Other / Archival / Re: Unpaid Bounty Effort on: July 08, 2018, 08:59:52 AM
Unpaid bounty is really waste our effort Sad ive been doing bounty for 10 months and 1 out of 100 30% is paying and the rest are scams. but still we keep going . theres a lot of Good Project this year .. SO cheers

your 30% rate is very very low actually.  mine is not that bad.  my rate is about 80%, but of course, I participated in like 25 different icos at one time.  the saddest thing is when the project is legit and they did not reach softcap....
15  Other / Archival / Re: Unpaid Bounty Effort on: July 08, 2018, 08:55:39 AM
like some of you said, it is better to start joining the bounty when the softcap is reached.  this is so true, because we have to protect ourselves from wasting our time.  however, from my experience, Amazix and G0blin are the bounty managers that have been doing very well.  So far, all of their projects that have i participated have surpassed softcap and also reached hardcap.  Shivom, XYO, Effect.ai etc.

16  Other / Archival / Unpaid Bounty Effort on: July 01, 2018, 03:03:28 AM
I have been doing bounties for some time and I have encountered some bounty effort that are not paid for.

1. Hashcard - scam exit
2. Blackfolio - did not reach softcap
3. BCharity - did not reach softcap
4. Safein - project is cancelled
5. Impressio - scam exit
6. Root blockchain - didn't get enough private investors

I learned a lesson here.  I have to be more selective in the future in choosing bounties, as much as choosing an ICO to invest.

Do you have any similar experience?  Please share so that others may learn.

18  Other / Archival / Any Of You Aware Of Aion? on: May 24, 2018, 02:20:30 PM
To, me Aion seems to be flying under the radar.  Not many traders, cryptoists are of the existence of this coin.  What Aion is?

To simply put it, Aion makes bridges.  We all see that bitcoin, ethereum, neo are blockchain of it's own.  It's like one network on it's own.  Do they talk to each other?  Can you transfer coins across these blockchains?  From eth to neo?  NO... not now.

So this is what Aion do.  Bridges.  They connect blockchains.  Aion as it is now, an ERC-20 token.  Mainnet is launched recently and ETH-AION bridge is about ready.  When the bridge is ready, you can swap the ERC-20 token to AION-1 coin seamlessly and vice versa.  This is the first bridge  Then, more bridges will come, e.g. ETH - NEO.  an Aion ERC-20 -> AION-1 -> AION NEP-5.

Use case: Cross chain smart contract and many others.

I was very amazed when I first read about this.  Thinking of buying some coins while it is still cheap.

20  Other / Archival / Why I Am Positive About Regulations on: April 24, 2018, 08:48:26 AM
Cryptocurrencies have seen it's all time high on Dec 2017.  People went crazy buying and selling cryptos.  Some made a lot of money and some have lost.  But most of them didn't know what are cryptocurrencies.  Hence, when the media published FUD, many weak hands started to cash out at loss... crashing the market.  This is why, do not invest in what you don't understand.  The government cannot ban blockchain from existing in this world.  It is a form of technology and it is stupid for someone to ban technology.  However, they can regulate the cryptocurrencies that are used to fuel the blockchain ecosystem.  How can regulations happen?

1. Classifying crypto as either a legal form of tender or an asset.
2. Monitoring all the ICOs and banning the scams.  Public money are being raised, government should interfere to protect investors.
3. Putting an end to any shitcoins/projects.  De-listing them from the exchange.
4. Keeping an eye price on manipulation and stopping all the pumps & dumps.
5. Income tax/capital gain tax.  This depends on how is crypto being classified.

All the 5 points above will have more good than bad.  Crypto market cap is less than $1 trillion while stock market is $70 trillion.  With more good coming into crypto, it will be a safer place for investment and this will attract more money.  With more money and less scams/shitcoins, investors will only focus on putting their money on legit and good project and when there is more money, price will definitely moon.  I believe this will happen within 2 years.  So get rid of all your shitcoins, hold the good ones and stay positive.  We are the early investors in cryptocurrencies, be patient and wait until it becomes mainstream.
