First, they will laugh and ridicule.

Next, they will fight.

They will lose.

Then, they will be in a state of denial.

Lastly, they will accept.

This always happen with disruptive ideas that have merits.

On which pool, guys?

I'm facing issue creating new workers on the following sites:
http://boss.cryptopool.it
http://bss.altminers.com

I am unable to recreate your issue with different PCs from different Networks. Chrome, Firefox and even IE works fine.
I am sorry, try emptying your cache

Yup, have tried emptying cache, delete history, cookies, etc. Reboot computer. Does not work, not sure why.

So, I tried to test mining solo using minerd. Have no luck, encountering this error

D:\Coins\BossCoin>"D:\CPU Miner\minerd.exe" -a scrypt -o 127.0.0.1:18199 -u bss_solo -p bss123
[2013-12-07 11:36:17] 2 miner threads started, using 'scrypt' algorithm.
[2013-12-07 11:36:22] Binding thread 1 to cpu 1
[2013-12-07 11:36:23] Binding thread 0 to cpu 0
[2013-12-07 11:36:24] HTTP request failed: Failed connect to 127.0.0.1:18199; No error
[2013-12-07 11:36:24] json_rpc_call failed, retry after 30 seconds

If anyone could resolve either above, that will be great.

The only method that I tested to be working was to go into the QT console and use the setgenerate command to start mining.

Unable to create a new worker.

1) Log in to the website.
2) Select My Worker and fill in the worker name and password
3) Click Add New Worker.
4) The site prompts me to log in again.

After that, I just get stuck repeating from step 1 to 4.
Try the AltMiners pool at http://bss.altminers.com

Facing the same issue.

I've tried using both Chrome (ver:31.0.1650.63 m) and Internet Explorer (ver: 11). I'm running Win 7 Pro on my laptop.

I think many people may have misunderstood the notice issued by the Chinese authority. It is meant to manage the high risks associated with Bitcoin trading - potential monetary loss and money laundering.

I have made a translation over at my site. Feel free to drop by my blog and read more: http://www.cryptocoinlog.com/cryptocurrency/peoples-bank-of-china-and-4-other-ministries-issued-a-risk-notice-on-bitcoin/

My view of Bitcoin is that it is a very powerful protocol, and at the current state, it is very much speculative.
