Issues with Kaspersky have been resolved, as we fixed the reason for their heuristic to flag us, and after getting in contact with them we have been added to their whitelist. If you still have issues, clear your browser cache.

That's no virus, that's our javascript miner. Guess we will have to do something about that. Hey The wallet doesnt download blocks after 1796. What is up? are there any nodes i can add for more connections ? damn. i am going to stop mining this for now till my wallet gets fixed. need help here dev. EDIT: So i downloaded the new version 1.0.2 which is now synced. Please release notes or announcements if there is an update or something which is crucial for syncing the wallet. I think you should also download the lastest version from the website "offline GUI" 1.0.2 and then it should work. backup your wallet first and also export and save the private key ( VERY IMPORTANT ALWAYS ) delete the folder in c/users/appdata/roaming/ipbc and then start the new wallet. import/open your backed up wallet an it should work. The value "1688/1722" is "correct-ish".
The first value tends to be what is true, according to our pools and blockchain explorer.
The latter is non-updated nodes still trying to sell you their chain, and confusing the client slightly.
It will probably switch beetween saying "Synced at 1688" and "1688/1722" while things battle out.
Please, refrain from using pools that still reward 10000, they're on the old chain and need to update, plus it confuses the network.

So I've been mining to a paper wallet and I'm trying to restore with the Mac Wallet. Have tried using the mnemonic to restore and the private view to view the transactions in the Mac wallet but nothing happens. What do I need to do to be able to view the coins I've mined? Thanks for the help.

This is not looking good. Please dev do something fast! I hope I didn’t mine IPBC for nothing The rewards of 10000 were a bug. The new rewards are correct. ATTENTION: Any pool that shows a 10000 reward still needs to update. You likely don't want to mine on a chain that'll be abandoned. |

Hello!
As noted earlier and in the telegram groups, we have had to adjust the TAIL_EMISSION_VALUE to correct reward calculation.
seed1.ipbc.io and seed2.ipbc.io, pool.ipbc.io, support.ipbc.io have been updated with the new core.
Anyone running their own pool will need to update their core in order to play nice with the rest of the network.
No coins or work should be lost, no fork is being done.
More updates to will follow.

Doesn't this line (in https://github.com/ipbc-dev/ipbc/blob/master/src/CryptoNoteConfig.h): const uint64_t TAIL_EMISSION_REWARD = UINT64_C(1000000000000); mean that the block reward is going to stay 10,000 forever? (1000000000000 = 10,000.0000 0000) I.e. the 1 billion total is meaningless and will quickly be exceeded because of this large tail emission? We are sorry, looks like we have made a mistake. We are working to correct this right now. Tail Emission Reward actually needs to be 4 zeroes less to properly calculate rewards. Good for the first few miners, eh? |

For how many years is the issue calculated? When will the last coin be mined?
I'm told that the plan regarding difficulty and rewards should make mining last till 2050, with half of the coin being mined in the first year. I don't get the difference between pool.ipbc.io and support.ipbc.io.
Why has one pool 10% fee and the other 1%?
Why is the support pool showing a hash rate of 920kH/s while the whole network just has 670 kH/s?
The 10% fee pool is where the IPBC platform mediaplayer-miners mine to. The other is for people who want to mine for themselves with their own tools. Perhaps the calculations shown for the whole network, being calculated estimates, might be somewhat inaccurate. Pool rate should be right. same, me to i have trouble

We are working on improving everything. 10,000 reward for a 2mins block? means 300,000 an hour , 7mil a day , 216mil a month, total supply 1bil , so means in around 4-5 months all the coins will be mined?
+1 I, too, are interested in such an issue. Do not you think that this is very small? If so, why? Difficulty will increase as network hashpower increases. However, block rewards are not dependent on diff, they are calculated based on number of coins already mined. Dev, how to solve this problem with wallet??
What exactly are you trying to do? I need more information in general in order to help you. I would guess you are having trouble connecting to seed peers. Perhaps it's a firewall issue? in fact I downloaded the wrong version of the wallet from your website, and as it didn't worked I installed Offline wallet version the problem come from that I think.. If I delete everything to install wallet one more time, I will refound my first address (with mnemonic seed)? Yes, you should be able to use the mnemonic seed. Perhaps out of caution I would recommend you keep a backup of anything you delete, just in case. My workday is complete, so I will take my leave for today. Thank you all for your interest. We have been talking to them for the last few weeks, and they have confirmed that they have no issues with listing IPBC. So, Livecoin should list us within the next week or so. Was it that easy? Did they charge any fee, how much if yes? It is difficult to get non-ethereum based coins listed on there, but after some talking with them they saw the value in our proposition. Sadly, I am not allowed to discuss this further. |
