1  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][PUCHCOIN] [Altcoin] PuchCoin (PHC) on: March 02, 2018, 01:57:04 PM
I really don't understand why someone will be interested in this coin, just a copy cat with zero innovation.
2  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] | {IOTN} ANONYMOUS PROTOCOL FOR THE EXCHANGE OF VALUE WITHIN THE IOT on: March 02, 2018, 03:40:58 AM
Interesting project but since it is only POS, the only way to get some coins it 1) to participate to the "proof of support" program or 2) to buy coins to master nodes.

The "proof of support" is define in the white paper as :

"A community member that has done a task such as make a development contribution, craft a post to their followers about IoTN, run an IoTN full node(s),or has contributed something to the IoTN project will submit proof of their support to the IoTN team. Based on the quality of the submission in comparison to other’ssubmissions during a given week of the Proof of Support Airdrop Fund schedule,
IoTN masternodes will be sent to the top contributors"

In short, to participate we need to 1) offer the best "task" in a competition with other people that want to participate (with no certainty of reward...) or 2) to buy.

This seems to restrictive to me, or it looks like a ICO.

What will the core developers do ? (if we are supposed to maintain the code, do marketing.... if I understand correctly)

Hi guys,

Since we have a good community, and a honest coin with no premine and so on, I think I have to share with you my finding about conan (the creator of YTN).

I have made some investigations and I found that conan has already created another alt-coins in the past : it is called the "StapCoin".
The StapCoin (a DASH clone) seems to be not active any more (see https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2201166.0) (even those it is still mineable).
If I understand correctly, I believe this is due to the fact that ASIC miners join the game and kill this coin.

So I think that maybe the Yenten coin is also a kind of "revenge" of Conan against ASIC miners.
However the mystery about conan is still here, we don't know who he is, just I can confirm the IP is from Japan.

Proof :
I found that the IP of the official node of the StapCoin is the same as the one of the offical Yenten node (IP: 133.130.66.167)
Both IPs are hard-coded in the src code.

Top le post.

Perso ce que j'aime avec le YTN c'est que c'est le premier coin à proposer cet algo GPU/ASIC résistant (sans marketing) + on ne sait pas qui est derrière le projet.

Hi,

So I finally succeed, here some informations for windows users :

-To know if you are running a full node, see how many active connections you have by putting your mouse on the bottom right side of the qt wallet. If you have more than 8 active connections, it means you are running a full node. In the above image, I have a full node (10 active connections):

-If you don't have a full node and you want, please check on https://www.yougetsignal.com/tools/open-ports/ that you are accepting incoming communication on port "9981" (yenten port), your ip address should be already written. See bellow for a node that accept incoming communication (your qt wallet must be running):

-if your port is not open, you need to configure the windows firewall (incoming communication) as follow (allow public, private TCP and UDP, for port 9981 only) :

Then restart yenten-qt.exe, check again that your port is open and wait 10/20 minutes.

Hi,

I would like to run a Yenten Full node on windows, despite all my attempts I'm still having only "8 active connections".

Can someone help me with this by providing a step-by-step tutorial ?

Also is there any website/tools to checks if my node is reachable from the outside world ?

Thanks,

9  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: Crex24.com - Cryptocurrency Exchange [Official Thread] (Fiat deposit/withdrawal) on: February 17, 2018, 01:58:18 PM
Hi guys,

Just a message to share my experience with crex24 :  great !

I have made few trades, deposit and withdraw without any problems, everything is fluid and instantaneous, I really appreciate the design of the order book (with the total column- really good to get an idea of the liquidity)

I believe I found my exchange for my favourite altcoin, I just hope that there will be more liquidity in the near future ^^

Cheers

Just to share my experience with stock.exchanges.

I was really reluctant to go to this exchange but I still did it.

I have made some trades without real problem except that there are some delays when you place an order.

Today I have made a deposit of around 19000 DOGE and it appears only .... 8 Hours later ! (and of course no answer to my ticket)

I saw they retrieved my dogs, 10 minutes after they received it.  (proof : https://dogechain.info/address/DDyp42F1KGL8V4HKgtm8sbin1NvdEQPLnD )

So to sum up, they hold my DOGE for free during 8 hours.

But I receive my coins, so I don't think it is a scam but they have serious problems and their website is very very very buggy.

I won't return to this exchange and I wouldn't recommend it.

Stocks.exchange sucks on trading Yenten.  Tried to sell some Yenten coins, small amount,  waiting for minutes or hours while my price should hit execution in a second.  This exchange is really poor for YTN trading
I totally agree, same problem for me. There is too much delay between order submission and execution. Also order matching is really strange.
12  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [CPU mining] Yenten v1.3.1 [YTN] [YescryptR16] [Exchange avilable] on: February 04, 2018, 11:18:05 AM
Regarding the problem with exchanges, I believe the best way to be attractive for exchange is to already have a decent liquidity on another exchange.

Unfortunately it is not the case.

Currently we can trade Yenten on : CoinsMarkets , Stocks.exchange , ICQBASE and CREX24 .

I personally do no trust CoinsMarkets because it is down since too long time (just look the chat on their website ...).

I personally do no trust Stocks.exchange as I found it looks as a scam exchange (+see my previous post).

Then there is still ICQBASE  and CREX24. I just compare their fees :

CREX 24   withdraw fees :    YENTEN = 1 YTN and BTC =  0.0005 BTC (can be seen once we are logged via account menu)
ICQBASE  withdraw fees :    YENTEN = 0.001 YTN  and BTC =  0.001 BTC (https://icqbase.com/page/fees)

CREX 24   Trading Fees  :   Market maker (0.01%) and Market taker (0.10%) (https://crex24.com/fees)
ICQBASE  Trading Fees  :   Both (0.25%) (https://icqbase.com/page/fees)

So CREX 24 has definitively better fees.

I have not been able to found a forum for ICQBASE on bitcointalk but I found one for CREX24 (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2101721.0)

Also I found that CREX24 display the full order book and has 3 different types of order (Immediate, Good-Till-Cancel, Fill or Kill).

So it seems to me that CREX24 looks like the best exchange we have so far (except for the 1YTN widraw fees).

Shouldn't we just trade on this exchange, and then when we will have a decent volume, ask to major exchange once again ?

PS: I have noticed an important limit with CREX24 : it is no possible to enter an order with a price lower than  0.00001BTC.
Disclaimer: I have already some orders on CREX24.

Just to warn the following readers, I find the exchange https://stocks.exchange/ VERY suspicious.

Why ?
- it has less that one year of activity ( https://whoislookupdb.com/whois-stocks.exchange - please note the site has no ".com" ...)
- lots of peoples are complaining on their twitter.
- when you click on "security details" (in the menu of their website) you 'll get this only info :" This information coming soon ...." !!!!  More than one year to provide security details ? This looks like a scam .

So, in my case I will wait that this coin goes on another market before to trade.

We have almost nothing information about this coin (no white paper....), it is another reason to be very careful.

Disclaimer : I'm new to the crypto-world so I may be paranoid..

2 informations :

- It seems that https://yenten.luckypool.org/ IS DOWN !!!!
I have got the following message: "We are investigating issues in the backend. Your shares and hashrate are safe and we will fix things ASAP." BUT I think they sent me my coins just before as I just receive some coins.

-Regarding the wallet that require to send a tweet - I have just done it, it works: I receive one coin ( thanks !) BUT for an unknown reason my tweet cannot be found when I search #yenten in Twitter .
