Not sure what I would do with a bare PCB - I'm skilled at hand soldering but have never tried SMT... I suppose I should learn (on a cheaper project).
I'm hoping once these 2nd gens test well I can put in an order to have them made like the liquidsynergy one I've acquired.

Zipiju,

Earlier you mentioned

Here, one 4 layer PCB costs about 120€ with shipping, which I'm not willing to pay (I can't afford it to be honest).

I have a GREAT idea on how to handle this.  How about you post a payment address and eight folks step up to send you the BTC equiv of 120€/8 (i.e. btc equiv of 15€).  Since WAY more than 8 folks are gonna benefit from your work it seems that slicing 120 by 8 makes a small amount for us to pay in order to directly participate in / support your efforts.  Count me in as one of the 8 who pays by the way.  Also, when one pays their 1/8 amount they should post the transaction info in this thread so you can see when all 8 have paid and so that only the proper amount gets transferred your way.

I like that idea, count me in if Zipiju agrees.

I've got a K16 sitting here hashing now, and I'd love to add some Avalon2 versions alongside it!

Hi, i didnt want to create a new topic, because i'm a newbie too, etc... But i have a question.

I can buy a ATI 6870@55€ (like 60-65$, something like that), it'll be bankable? Actually, i try to mine lots of coins (ALF, IFC, GLX, etc..) with my GTX 570 but some problems :

-i can't play when i mine Sad
-200kh/s and 300w consumption is bad, right?

Thanks a lot Smiley

Don't bother buying a GPU to mine on, and particularly not an older one... you'll never make your money back and it will cost you more in electricity than you can mine (unless you mine scrypt based altcoins as you mention, but that's another topic). You're better off buying hashes on cex.io, or getting ASIC based mining hardware.
