Aditus, the world’s first luxury access platform for crypto-affluents, debuted as an official sponsor of racing trimaran ‘Fugazi’ at the February Bay Regatta in Phuket, Thailand. ‘Fugazi’ won line honours in all four races. This strategic partnership is the culmination of the close ties between Aditus and members of the Asian yacht racing community. ![](https://ip.bitcointalk.org/?u=http%3A%2F%2Ftinyimg.io%2Fi%2F4CqixQd.jpeg&t=663&c=Tt8KfHpbwTW4Zw) As one of the fastest trimarans in the regional circuit, the 37-ft Fugazi is a customised Phi 1100 that was originally christened ‘3itch’ in 2012. Designed by notable boatbuilders Danny Moore and Nigel Cross, the hulls were constructed in Bali, Indonesia before being shipped to Port Dickson in Malaysia where it was assembled and formally commissioned for service. The duo drew inspiration from the Seacart 30 ‘Thor’ which held many podiums and line honours under the helm of owner Henry Kaye. As a result, it was designed for uncompromising speed in Southeast Asia’s light wind conditions. ‘Fugazi’ has a full carbon composite body that boasts a main hull and outriggers with dyneema rigging by Colligo Marine. While the mast stands at 59-ft and was fabricated from a single piece of Lorima carbon. Subsequent upgrades include a stronger carbon daggerboard and back beam, T-shaped rudders for enhanced stability and a lighter mast to improve its performance in competitive sailing. Acquired by sailing enthusiast Dan Fidock and renamed ‘Fugazi’ last year, the Aditus logo is prominently featured on the speedy trimaran’s new mainsail, screecher, spinnaker and crew shirts. “Despite my familiarity with monohull vessels, I’ve been looking for a fast sailing multihull that will be competitive in Southeast Asia,” explains Fidock. “In terms of why ‘Aditus’, working in the tech space, I am keenly interested in our Asian based world class blockchain projects like Kyber Network, OmiseGo, Electrify Asia and QTUM. A strategic partnership with Aditus will enable me to merge my passion for competitive sailing and ride the equally fast wave of blockchain technology with a formidable new collaborator.” ‘Fugazi’ will be participating in all major Southeast Asian regattas in 2018. Preparations are currently underway for the upcoming July Multihull Solutions Regatta and Phuket Race Week. For more information: www.aditus.net

Several high end brands like Christofle Paris and the Bel-Air Fine Art Gallery have already adopted the Aditus crypto payment gateway. It definitely feels like a strategic move in keeping up with the times as they could tap into a new segment of the market (i.e those who hold their wealth in crypto).
On a smaller scale though, would you consider buying something more mundane like a cup of coffee with crypto? Not sure how that would play out with the volatility of the market and other factors.
Why not? If will be very great if we can buy a cup of coffee with cryptocurrency. But if the payment confirmation takes very long then i will not use cryptocurrency to buy something. I will use if its already quick. Oh it would definitely be great! But like you said, transaction time might be an issue with these quick purchases. Now if you were buying something online or maybe even buying real-estate overseas it would be less of an issue, but for quick transactions like coffee that would definitely pose some problems. I actually got the coffee example from this: https://medium.com/aditusnetwork/8-challenges-to-overcome-to-enable-cryptocurrency-payments-c7a49e379d61Interesting read, but not sure if I agree with some parts of it. Definitely believe that crypto payment gateways are the way of the future though.

I was confused whether this meant heaven on earth or "afterlife heaven" but I hope my cat's there.

Yes, I do. Maybe not the type of aliens we see in popular culture, but organisms that exist outside of our planet.

Aditus, the world’s first luxury access platform for crypto-affluents, announced a strategic partnership with Bel-Air Fine Art. This will include a demonstration of Aditus Pay during the gallery’s grand VIP opening at Mayfair, London on the 15th of March, 2018. As part of the agreement, Aditus will implement Aditus Pay as a cryptocurrency payment solution for Bel-Air Fine Art galleries to serve art lovers, academics and collectors who wish to make payment in Aditus tokens and other cryptocurrencies such as Bitcoin and Ethereum. Founded in 2004 by seasoned art dealer François Chabanian, Bel-Air Fine Art is an acclaimed European-based group with galleries across cities such as Switzerland, France, and Italy that are frequented by crypto-affluents. BAFA (Bel-Air Fine Art) London is the 14th gallery under the Bel-Air Fine Art group. This new gallery will focus on Street, Neo- and Post-Pop art, as well as optical installations of artists from all over the world. The group also organises international exhibitions in the Middle East including Dubai, Abu Dhabi, and Beirut. ![](https://ip.bitcointalk.org/?u=http%3A%2F%2Ftinyimg.io%2Fi%2FYuONdVs.JPG&t=663&c=XQz6gtL3_3ZnMg) Partnering with Aditus for its grand opening, works from international artists like Angelo Accardi and renowned street-artist Banksy can be purchased using cryptocurrencies. There will also be two remarkable curated shows by Carole Feuerman and Sandra Shashou entitled Strength, Survival & Balance and Broken Reborn respectively during the night. Aditus is a revolutionary decentralised lead-generation and marketing platform for luxury merchants. For a community of new wealth, it serves as a privacy-centric access and transaction platform. Aditus aims to fill a void in the market place by connecting crypto-affluents to the global art world. Payments will be executed through Aditus Pay, a cryptocurrency payment gateway, that was successfully rolled out at Art Stage Singapore 2018 in January with four paintings paid for with cryptocurrencies. ![](https://ip.bitcointalk.org/?u=http%3A%2F%2Ftinyimg.io%2Fi%2FpXeNySZ.jpg&t=663&c=47fIfJ3_Hf3fOA) “We are confident that Aditus Pay will contribute to the growth of the global art scene,” says Co-founder and CEO of Aditus, Julian Peh. “The curators at BAFA pride themselves on being able to handpick emerging artists while also showcasing the works of proven ones in the industry. Similarly, we like to believe that the implementation of Aditus Pay will allow BAFA to engage a new breed of collectors who will take pleasure in appreciating art in all its various forms. We’re looking forward to an incredible journey ahead with BAFA as a key partner even as Aditus remains firmly rooted as a valuable facilitator behind the scenes.” For more information:www.aditus.nethttps://www.belairfineart.com/en/
