1  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: AwesomeMiner Coin Updater *Version 0.7.2* (Plugin) on: April 12, 2018, 08:23:44 PM
I love your project, but I've a little problem with coin updater:
When listed a coin in awesomeminer, checked a highest coin price to calculate AVG. It is good, but sometimes highest price come from "mini" exchange where no daily volume(ex.: 0.000003 BTC). I think we need a variable, where the minimum volume can be set.

Or, in the cases where the coin is on multiple exchanges, use the one with the highest volume.

If I understand it correctly, any line in the config.json without a block explorer it is assumed the difficulty data is coming from "https://chainz.cryptoid.info/explorer/api.dws?q=summary", or something that pulls from chainz.cryptoid, correct?

The difficulty of those coins do not appear to be getting updated in this last version of the program (0.5.3).

For example, UFO coin shows up (after I clear all .json files except for the config) at a difficulty of 4.75, but the difficulty from chainz has it much higher at:

  "ufo": {
    "name": "UFO",
    "PoW": "NeoScrypt",
    "PoS": false,
    "height": 1258693,
    "diff": 23.787287800355,
    "supply": 3576672512,
    "ticker": {
      "btc": 1.8e-7
    }

Am I missing something, or should it not be pulling from that summary?

Great add-on.

Would love to send you a PM. Can you enable that for a newbie like me, or send me one so I can reply (if that works?)

Thanks.
It's disabled for a reason..

Understandable. Then I guess I'll make the request publicly:

I like to support the people that provide value, even if they are providing it free of charge. Any interest in providing an address for donations?
Sure I guess.. Didn't think anybody would like it that much! Thanks

First person who's wanted to PM me not asking for help in Google Translate English lol..

Time = $$$
Information = $$$

You have saved me (in coding my own solution or manual updating) the former and in doing so provided an ongoing source of the latter. Only right you benefit from that.

Donation on the way. Let me know if you don't receive it.

***FOR THE RESELLERS ON THIS BOARD***

After mining for several months and getting my brain partially wrapped around the crypto market, I think I am ready to make the plunge into a trading bot. I understand how exchanges work, and I have done enough coding/techincal work that I can set up my VPS, edit .json files, etc.

I've visited a bunch of the reseller's websites. I see lots of "special editions", discounts, special strategies, premium support, discord channel support, TradingView/CryptoSight, etc.

It isn't bewildering, but it is difficult to understand what is really needed, what is essentially re-packaged standard reseller items, and what resellers are adding real value and what that value is. I am not looking for someone to make all my money for me, but services I might find valuable are ones that: a. Ease me into this and prevent me from making bone-headed mistakes, b. provide ongoing tuned algorithms that are optimal for the current market conditions we're seeing, c. ongoing tips on pairs (which based on what I am reading is how the software works) that are like candidates for the bot to be maximally effective.

So, I'd appreciate it if any resellers who are active on this board would PM me with:

1. What services they are offering
2. What their prices are, both individually and package-deals
3. What additional value going through them gives me (even if that means charging me more for it)
4. Any testimonials or flesh-and-blood people happy with the service you've provided I can contact in some fashion to get a feel for any extra value you are claiming

Like any investor, I am looking for the lowest up-front cost for a solution that provides the most robust path to an ongoing ROI.

If you're interested in giving me a pitch, I'd love to hear it (and, as much as you can believe a random person on the internet, you have my commitment to keeping our terms private.)

Please PM me.

Same issue here. Upgraded remote agent, pointed to 1.4.3a, etc., same issue with multiple algos all showing zero hash rate.

Another vote for Excavator.

On a 1080 I'm getting 1.03 MH/s on ccminer-klausT and 1.27 MH/s on Excavator.

Same here for me. I have spent a long time with this software (paying customer, premium edition) but it isn't without its flaws.

1. The best miner for my Nvidia cards (Excavator, but hsrminer before that) doesn't have support
2. The best miner for my Radeon Vega cards (XMR-STAK) has only external mining support.
3. The statistics implementation needs help. For something like Nicehash, "current" stats work fine, as I am getting paid on a per-hash basis. However, on everything else I get jacked around far too often. That leaves a 24 hours as my only other option, which, given volatility of the alt-coin market is really far too long. MPM has a "stability" calculation that is better, and it essentially builds a real-time ongoing database of prices. My preference would be to implement an ability for us to do continuous sampling and apply our own math via the scripting function. I'd implement a EWMA and then play with the lambda until I was happy that I was able to usually mine coins that are either stable or increasing in value to match the TTF numbers so they get auto-exchanged for somewhere close to the value I supposedly mined them at.

Don't get me wrong, the program is better than others out there, but I can't say I am happy with it, and I don't think there would be too much trouble to implement a few of these. I'd be more than happy to help test solutions (or even contribute to coding) if it would speed things up a little.
