1  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Relex (RLX) - A low marketcap gem! on: May 10, 2018, 01:51:19 AM
I was one of the early investors in the project, back when tokens were held in maybe 100-105 wallets, and trading volume was $0 on some days! It is very satisfying that the project has withstood scrutiny, not only by a very skeptical investor community, but also by the Russian government from which it received an invitation to the Yalta Economic Forum in April. Some early investors also independently verified the claimed partnership with Woodfine Capital Projects; indeed, the team itself encouraged us to do so, demonstrating that they are not afraid of scrutiny or regulation. As a result, the project has started exploded, with trading volume now exceeding $100 k on some days. There has also been a string of developments (detailed in r/RelexRLX and other places) announced by the team, with promises of more to come. The CEO of woodfine will also hold a conference call with the relex community on Friday, May 11, 5 PM New York time. There is also a very active Telegram community that you can ask for more information.

My interpretation of yesterday's webinar and Q&A:

A few things you can do with RLX now:

Invest in a limited partnership with Woodfine, a 30-year private company based in New York. The fund will invest in real estate development. Short of having deep pockets and business connections to approach Woodfine directly, this is the only way to invest in the fund.

Buy shares of Woodfine the company at pre-IPO prices. These shares will eventually list on NYSE. Woodfine CEO will hold a conference call with the RLX community on Friday, May 11, 5 PM New York time.

Purchase a condotel unit at Cocobay in Vietnam, with full SEC compliance. A unit owner will get 10 % interest (for first 10 years) or 80 % of profit from occupancy, whichever is higher. Pending FINRA approval, ownership of a single unit can be tokenized among multiple investors as needed. Presumably, profits/interest will then be distributed proportionally.

Note about upcoming health token:

Based on what I heard, I envision that among (possibly) other things, the upcoming health token, to be airdropped 1:1 to RLX investors, can be used by you and like-minded investors to place a wholesale order for whatever existing or custom inhalable from Aura that you and your fellow investors would like to sell or distribute at profit. The potential value to you is that you get product at the manufacturer's prices, without a distributor's markup. The potential value to the manufacturer is that it can make product with more confidence and less marketing cost, knowing it has pre-orders already lined up. In other words, RLX will enable you and like-minded investors to directly influence the choice of which product to make: Aura and other companies that may list on the platform can potentially become your very own contract manufacturer for a product that otherwise would not be made. An alternative arrangement that I envision is reverse Groupon, in which Aura agrees to manufacture a product only if a is large enough pre-order is placed by you and other investors.

Thank you for the update. I vote large (credible) exchange, if that is feasible now. What's another two weeks?  Grin Someone/somebot appears to have bought RLX at 0.05-7 ETH over 1 h on IDEX.

Sorry, I can't bring myself to read 15 pages of previous discussions, but in what denomination will AURA stakers be paid? In each coin that gets traded?

Also follow-up question on a post reddit (Sorry I don't want to create another account): "Staking AURA is not yet live, the estimate is for Q3. The way it will work is you will need to put up your AURA as a security deposit and run a node that hosts the decentralized orderbook infrastructure. This will require that your staking node has 24/7 uptime, would recommend renting out a server."

But isn't the whole point of a decentralized network so that there is no single (or a few) points of failure? Why does each node have to be up 24/7 all of the time?

@ipizi -- I asked a very similar question (#127), and their reply is at #129. (I'm not part of the team, just trying to help.) also-- i think there was a reply somewhere that coinmarketcap requires at least $15,000 daily volume.

Thanks a lot for the clarification. More power to you!

Dear relex_core, I do not mean to be pushy, but as you can see deedcoin (out of Florida) has a publicly verifiable CIK number (0001727261), whereas a search for "Relex" or "RLX" has no hits on the SEC EDGAR database. It would be reassuring to have publicly verifiable information, or perhaps an explanation of why Relex has no publicly searchable presence on EDGAR. Thank you.

Relex is one hardworking team! (I almost feel bad I'm doing nothing but hold coins. Smiley

However, please consider the following example (theoretical!) scenario based on Twitter posts. Disclosure: I do not work for the FDA or even big pharma, so take my thoughts with a grain of salt:

As pill-form Viagra is FDA-approved, I would imagine that pill-form generic Viagra will face less FDA scrutiny because probably the only thing that will change is the brand, i.e., it cannot be marketed as Viagra, but all other things stay the same, including formulation, dose, etc. On the other hand, inhalable Viagra will have to overcome questions like, is it safe, as safe, or safer than pill form? Does it reach similar levels in the blood as pill form? For better or for worse, inhalable forms of any FDA-approved drug will probably be compared to the existing pill form. Keeping in mind that the FDA is very conservative, I can imagine it will ask something like if pill form works fine and has proven safety record, why approve an inhalable form with an unproven safety record?

Hence, inhalable forms will probably have a longer product development phase than generic forms, which (of course) is not always a bad thing, except that some investors may not have the necessary patience. Yes, I also recognize that competition is probably tougher in the generics space.

In any case, good luck again, and keep up the good work!

Hello, I was kind of hoping this week's announcements would be about SEC approval. Would you know when we might expect that?

Anyway, in addition to/instead of wellness, please consider generics. Not only would that be a bigger market, I think, but also more purposeful and may in fact attract institutional investors. I know that generics would be tougher than wellness regulatory-wise, but they would also be a lot less challenging than entirely new drugs. Good luck to you (and to me also, since I hold RLX).
