1  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: Bitcoin masternode on: May 13, 2020, 11:34:52 AM
Well I have learned quite a bit here.

Thank you all for the info. I was just trying to do some good with equipment I already have.

Would anyone be interested in renting a VM from me or helping me raise funds for an Animal Rescue ?

Ok so if this does not exist then who gets the funds that your charged when you transfer the funds from me to you say?

Are you talking about a full node? or are you planning to start to have a lightning network server?

Or you are talking about a Masternode where you can be rewarded by hosting a full node? If this is what you are talking about then there is no such thing as Bitcoin Masternode where you just need to require a minimum amount of coins(To activate the masternode) and be rewarded.

Running a full node on Bitcoin won't give you benefits even you hold a large amount of bitcoin.

That's why you can't find any guides on Google or anywhere because there is no Masternode Bitcoin.

I can give you a sample of the coin that you can run a Masternode and be rewarded.

Dash coin is one of the samples of altcoins that you can run a Masternode.
Check their guide from here Manual installation of Dash MAsternode

To get more idea how to run a Masternode coin much better go to Altcoin discussion and make a new thread there about Masternode coin.

Ok so I am trying really hard to fund a very worthwhile animal rescue and figured why not put the server I have in a rack that is not doing anything to good use and use it to run a masternode for bitcoin. I can not find ANYWHERE how to do this, furthermore I am looking for someone out there to help me along the way implement this. A little something about my server

Physical Server 2U unit DELL power Edge
8TB storage
Static IP

so it's the real deal. If you can help me get this up and going so I can generate some funds for the rescue I would be so very happy.
and you would be doing a great thing to help save the lives of animals. Thanks in advance.

so many scams out there. This stinks that they are doing this..

I have also not got any response to my questions from the contact page. Also only got about 50% return from upgrading before withdrawals ceased and now are all still in pending status.

Put the word out there for an investigation. Will see what happens and how long the site stays up on the net.

Ok I am one of them people that wish they never lost their btc wallet from when btc first rolled onto the scene and was worth like $0.01 each or something like that. I was mining with my desktop computer and I bet you that I have somewhere in that LOST wallet something like at least 20 btc. At that time i got bored with it as 20 btc was worth like $1.00 or something really crazy low so... I like a lot of people said to heck with this and uninstalled the miner software and moved on. Well today I wish i did keep that wallet but.. I never did and can only thank myself for that. Now here is something I can not understand.

Back then you could mine with a desktop computer by yourself and not even have a 8 Core processor, 32 gigs of ram and LARGE video card. and get like for example 1 btc per day. Now FASTER more powerful computer 8 Core processor, 32 gigs of ram and LARGE video card. I cant mine 1/100000th of a btc. Same blockchain. Should not be any more difficult as it was then but is now impossible to get BTC with a desktop computer. It's not like someone, every now and again ADJUSTS the algorithm just to mess with people. So in theory I should be able to download a block to my desktop and mine at the same pace i did when this 1st started right???

Please explain this to me in laymans terms as i have no flipping idea how it could cost more and more to mine every day on the same block chain. Huh Huh

Thank you guys.. Smiley I sent him that link with the Blockchain thing and he immediately shut the heck up..
ha ha ha. I think he was trying to scam me.. Matter of fact I call his phone # and no answer now.. so..
I think it was all a game for him. Sadly this is as you can tell my 1st transaction EVER with bitcoin so..
I really did not know what to expect. I am a little more savy now thank to you guys!!!.. Thanks guys..
I will be very cautious now..

My recv address is : 1DsVXx9YwguBdrh6prNVTGzJWNabFZ9oCR
If that is the same address you gave the sender... then no, there are NO BTC there: https://blockchain.info/address/1DsVXx9YwguBdrh6prNVTGzJWNabFZ9oCR

If that isn't the same address, then you need to check the address the sender supposedly sent coins to on a block explorer to see what the balance is.

Although, if the sender can't even give you a TransactionID, then that seems a little suspicious... why can he not provide a TransactionID? Huh I'm not aware of any wallets that hide this information... even exchanges give you  the TransactionID when you do a withdrawal.

Can someone send me like a $0.01 USD via BTC.. I still have not gotten the transaction that this guy sent me
I just want to test to make sure i am getting the btc. Not looking for FREE Btc just want to test it. So if you can
do that for me that would be great. My recv address is : 1DsVXx9YwguBdrh6prNVTGzJWNabFZ9oCR

Again not asking for donations just want to make sure its working.. This guy is very seriously telling me he sent
it and calling me all kinds of names.. But nothing is coming thru. Thanks in advance.

Is there any way to force a sync? to make sure it has done one?
You can check if it is synced by clicking the green circle in the bottom right hand corner. This will bring up the network information. If you do not see a green circle, it will be either red or two arrows in a circle. If you see the red circle, you are disconnected from the network. The two arrows in a circle mean that you are currently syncing.

In the network information, you should see how many blocks you are synced up to. Make sure that matches what you see elsewhere on block explorers.

I have Electrum installed on my computer and have had someone tell me they send me a couple of transactions to my bitcoin address. BUT Electrum does not show these transactions and to make it worse the guy does not know what the transaction #s are. Is there a way to just have Electrum update your balances automatically without having the transaction code ? if not is there a way to do this? thanks in advance.
