Having trouble with paypal withdrawls. I tried twice, got a confirmation email as usual, clicked the link to confirm and I'm redirected to the statistics page, not the confirmation page.

I have 2 rx 560's in 2 different machines, same drivers. 1 card refuses to mine sumo.

I've tried all 3 way. don't see any difference at all except for frequency of benchmarks. I think auto works well, just sometimes it won't switch to a more profitable coin on 1 rig when others have because it doesn't have a benchmark data to know it's more profitable. I'll usually manually select the more profitable coin, run it for a minute, then switch back to all coins and the now more profitable one shows up.. Of course, coin chasing works best when you have multiple rigs, time on your hands to kill and monitor mining, and luck.

Here's one of my GTX 1060

Hmm, NICE, if only it were permanent.

Couple of unaccounted for RX 560s, and a couple 1050's in the mix, but still nice profitability.

EDIT: I undervolt my cards and overclock memory for best efficiency. If I didn't, profitability is a bit higher, but my rigs are more prone to crash with heat. Very stable at 80% with memory overclocks, would rather be stable than peak. Keeps rigs cheaper. 1050/1030 rig is going solar soon. Total watt use is under 250, using passive cooled gt 1030's.

Yeah, this went on for about 10-15 minutes. My GT 1030 rig was pulling in like $1.75 each, and my GTX 1060 rig around $6.40 each. I knew it wouldn't last long, but wow, if only it would be like that all the time!!

So what was this all about? Happened around 3:30 or so this morning.

Even my wimpy GT 1030 rig was pulling in over $7.00

I'd like to see advance notices here of when new versions will roll out instead of waking up in the morning, seeing it's been updated and that my connection has dropped or the program has froze. Then fixing the issue, and coming on here several hours later with a note from the team saying it was updated.. well.. duh!! Have lost several hours of mining time because of this. I understand the complexities of rolling out the updates and individual results may vary, but an advance notice would really really be helpful so that we can look out and prepare for it.

anyone have the problem on winminer ?

already 2 day that my miner is mining , but i did not earn any money on it , i keep on getting benchmarking Sad
I noticed on mine, any time they roll out a new update, I get the same issue. What I do now, every time there is a new updated version installed, I clear my benchmark results. Have not had issue on any of my rigs since following this practice. If I don't do it though. I notice that the program will sometimes either crash or drop connection on my wi-fi. Was getting frustrated for a while, thought it was my wi-fi adapter. I can't drill holes to run CAT5 so wi-fi is my only option, tried a different brand adapter.. same results, but after clearing benchmark results after every new version, I've been rock solid stable. Don't know if this applies to your problem, but it's at least worth a try.

Why not 2 winminer apps (or even settings)? 1 that does USD exchanges for the user, and 1 that is dedicated for coin only. The user can select this option in the initial setup, or in the settings panel.

Wow, I can actually turn my Dell T-610 X5675 dual Xeon server back on today, nice. Not where it once was, but doing much better then the last couple months.

Seem to be experiencing issues, not all of my rigs are showing up on the "live" screen, but I am showing that they are mining.
13  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / My 183 watt 4 card rig for solar mining on: March 18, 2018, 04:14:17 PM
Built this one because I was bored and wanted to see what I could do with an old Dell Vostro 260s that I had given to me.

It sports an Intel 2500k core i5 CPU, 4 gigs of ram, and 4 passive cooled nVidia GT 1030 graphics cards ran on a 500watt EVGA power supply. It is being cooled by 4 cougar fans... not that I needed them, but, might as well run it cooler then stock.

Profitability of course, is not very much. As of today I am seeing about 12 cents on the CPU, and 13 cents on each of the graphics cards... but. What I plan on doing, is getting some solar panels, mounting it on my garage roof, and let it draw in crypto for free using solar. Tested this rig running full blast with a Kill-A-Watt and showed I was only drawing 183 watts.

Total cost of the project came in at under $400 since I had the computer given to me. All I had to purchase was power supply, graphics cards, frame and risers. Found them all fairly cheap on eBay and Amazon. Had I known at the time it would only pull 183 watts, I probably would have went with a cheaper power supply, but the EVGA has a graphics card plug so that I can change out 1 of the GPU's for something better later on.

It does multiple if using an nVidia and AMD. Like in this example image, I am able to shut down CPU and nVidia mining and run the AMD card, which allows me to game and mine at the same time.

Edit, I suppose one could theoretically, build a combo GAMING/MINING rig by using 1 brand GPU as the Primary, and the opposite brand as extended PCI-E and be able to game while mining at the same time on an 8+ GPU setup.

I chose winminer because it was the easiest way to get paid. It allows me to convert my payment to amazon gift card, which is cheaper then paying paypal fees. Lets me use Amazon as my marketplace over places like newegg to find products. Cash is nice, but lets be real, online ordering is number 1. And for that alone, I'll stay with winminer. I don't HAVE TO use the extra money for upgrades to high end cards. I have 2 rigs. 1 with 5 GTX 1060 6Gb+ 1GTX 1050, and the other running 4 passive cooling GT 1030's (Dell Vostro 260s rig with 400 watt power supply). I paid for my investment in cash, so my ROI, for me anyway, is meaningless, but I have made it back. So I'm happy with whatever rates I'm getting for now... though they have been quite low lately. I used to have a Dell T-610 server running winminer with 2 x5675 Xeons that at one time, was maxing out at about $1.70 a day. Now it barely pulls 50 cents so I took it offline. That's a shame, because I was thinking of using it instead for the GT 1030 rig. MUCH MORE PCI-E slots to work with. Might save that for a later project.

Thank you for a VERY thorough explanation. I enjoy winminer so much, keep up the great work!1

Both my machines stopped mining ETN overnight.  CPUs are enabled but were sitting idle.  I had previously disabled SUMO so I re-enabled it now and one machine started mining SUMO, the other is just sitting there with "Mining SUMO @ ∞ H/s"

I turned on the command window and the zcash miner came back with "Stream subscribe timeout".

Any ideas?

Me too!!

What about if the buyer is using Prepaid visa cards? It's their personal risk, not the banks and is not the banks job to tell them how they should spend their money.

You are joking right ?
Do you know what gives Bitcoin and other coins its value ?  Its Fiat money so Bitcoin and all cryptocoins are linked to real money because without that cryptocurrencys are worth nothing. If people can not convert it to real money what are you going to do with it ?

The banks will laugh at you

Convert it to something that DOES hold value... Like.. dare I say it.. WEED (think POTCOIN)!! Is it then still a FIAT currency?
19  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Lawsuit against the banks? on: February 05, 2018, 09:21:02 PM
First time posting. Just wanted to say, I feel Banks/Governments have no right to apply their own terms of use to a crypto currency. I think the manipulating they are trying to do should be challenged in court. I as a miner have lost value to my holdings in a non centralized currency because another entity tried to manipulate it's value. I'd like to sue. I am currently holding, firm believer that crypto is here to stay and will force governments to redefine/rethink their own currencies, not cryptos. Totally predict an "IF YOU CAN'T BEAT THEM, JOIN THEM" from Banks and Governments. I won't honestly try to speculate the future of any type of crypto, but it is clearly here to stay. In the mean time, I think a class action needs done.
