1  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Do you think we reached the bottom? on: February 07, 2018, 08:07:44 PM
Today's increase does not mean that the bottom has been reached. Once there have been a few ups and downs in the range of 4-8k which kind of indicates a "curve", one can say that the bottom is reached. A one day high does not mean a lot. Also SEC and few governments are commenting on ICO, TOken etc. but real action is missing yet. Once first measures to safeguard investors are in place, rating will go further down before it will settle, and then go way up again...

There is so many factors which impact crypto currencies! Just recalling recent happenings, the dropping stock exchange markets for sure had a negative impact on btc and other currencies. Then there is the SEC which is trying to find an approach how to safeguard investors. Chineses government who is setting strict rules and even prohibiting any token sales.

It's definitely a good time to accumulate your favorite coins/tokens. The thing to remember is that we all do not know exactly where the bottom is, but you can do some basic technical analysis on BTC and get a decent idea.

I've purchased a little over the last few days. BCH, ETH and Steem. You just need to buy a little as you can always purchase fractions.  Scale in, scale out (if you trade)

By the end of the year, I'm sure all of the solid coins will be much higher in value than the current levels.

You have mentioned that you can do some basic technical analysis on BTC to get a feeling of where the bottom is. Could you share some insights or provide let's say a starting point to begin with. I'm new when it comes to bitcoins and it's obviously the time to buy now. But I have not even a feeling of where the bottom is, which makes it hard to say when to start my BTC Journey.

Many thanks for any advice!
