The pellets you buy from the store typically takes over a week to work because they need to take it back to the nest and there are thousands of them in a nest.
Some things I've found to work:
Spraying the path they use so they lose their way
Spraying the entrance they use into your home from outside
Leaving the dead ones you killed behind to warn them off
Thanks so much for that! I will paste it here so it's easy for people to find:
Podcast channels: Crypto 101, Let’s talk Bitcoin, The Bad Crypto Podcast, The Crypto street Podcast, Off the Chain, Rekt Podcast. (Made my work commute a learning experience)

Hi all, I'm trying to build up a list of good influencers that really know what they're talking about rather than just 'buy coin x' / 'this project is great'. I've done a brief search into good ones on Google but usually turns up with the very famous and large ones (e.g. Vitalik).
Are there any you feel are particularly worth listening to?
For all the fiat exchanges I've encountered, there is a requirement to KYC before you can use them. This is to prevent money laundering and terrorist funding. It allows allows governments to do further data matching towards your tax liabilities in the future. They can backdate it for many years, so even if you've escaped their notice now, it doesn't mean they won't come after you in the future. Unless you're keeping it all and spending it all in Bitcoin or whatever cryptocurrency you've purchased (as it was originally intended for). I personally met one of the barristers representing the tax office for a case like this yesterday.
It is a manifesto from Wolong, famous for his work on the pump and dump scene for dogecoin. It involves a fair amount of capital and social engineering in order to convince people to follow along. I think you'll particularly be interested in the 'Exiting' section of the document as it explains some of the methods used.
This reminds of a great article by Tim Urban from 'waitbutwhy'. He explains that due to the speed at which computers 'learn', the moment that an AI achieves the same level of ability as a human, they will quickly transcend to a level similar to 'God' owing to the amount of information available to it on the internet. Now, whether that being is 'benevolent' or not really depends on the core primary objective the programmer built it had in mind. And note, it might not necessarily be a bad objective that may cause it to run out of control. His example was using a robot that wrote handwritten thank you notes that led to a very bad end. Give it a read if you're really interested in the topic!
I would suggest starting by building a community. Whether it be cryptocurrencies or a regular business, success doesn't usually appear overnight. Behind every overnight success is years of unseen hard work. If you're providing useful services, information or content with real value to people, they will naturally spread the word for you. First, grow your inner circle of diehard fans, then they will tell their friends or people that may be in need of the same service.
After all, how much can you really advertise as one person? But if you grow your user base, they will act as free advertisers on your behalf, allowing you to create more useful content.
