1  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] VOXELS (VOX) | The Official Coin of Virtual Reality and Voxelus Platform on: September 25, 2016, 04:28:35 PM
Hi guys, I want to store my voxels cold. I prefer a paper wallet, is that possible with voxels? If yes, how? Can't find much about this anywhere, also it seems the voxelus forum went offline long ago...
2  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][EXCHANGE] Poloniex - Crypto Exchange with BTC/NXT on: January 31, 2016, 08:25:38 PM
Poloniex, any idea when they start offering trades in Emercoin? Emercoin is in the top 10 on coinmarketcap for several weeks now and it looks like they're here to stay with their cooperation with Microsoft and BITCF.
3  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][XCP] Counterparty - Pioneering Peer-to-Peer Finance - Official Thread on: November 20, 2015, 04:53:14 PM
Nice read: an analysis on why you might want to invest in XCP, written by an investor. Not sure yet if I agree, but this is the most thorough article I've read on this topic. http://cryptocrunch.com/2015/10/19/invest_counterparty_xcp_blockchain/

What do you guys think?
4  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [SKY] Skycoin Launch Announcement on: May 22, 2014, 08:26:03 PM
Very excited about this!

I really like how this project is getting shape now. Good to know there is a bigger team working on it and that things are well thought over instead of being rushed.

For the past months I've been a weekly lurker on this thread, and I notice that the overall community (me included) is a bit passive compared to other projects with similar ambitions. So I would be glad to hear how the community can help you guys out!

Cheers

5  Economy / Web Wallets / Re: BTC-e withdrawal issues? on: February 28, 2014, 05:13:02 PM
Does anyone have the same issue as me: I create a ticket at BTC-e and after a few days, they just delete my support ticket (meaning, if I click the link to the ticket from my mail, I get redirected to their home page instead of the ticket).

My BTC from my withdrawal on february 11th are still lost!
6  Economy / Web Wallets / Re: BTC-e withdrawal issues? on: February 25, 2014, 02:13:22 PM
I also withdrew BTC on the 11th and they have "disappeared" since. I haven't received any reply from their support since, other than the general message 14 days ago:

"Hello
Please wait
Due DDOS on Bitcoin network there is a delay possible with crediting of transactions madden between 10-11 February. Be patient please"

I see that a few people on this forum finally got their BTC back. What hoops did you guys have to jump through to get this done?

7  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: bitstamp btc withdrawal problem on: February 13, 2014, 11:17:12 PM
Anybody any news on BTC-E?

My BTC-E withdrawal on feb 10 is still in limbo... meaning no funds in my account and no funds on the blockchain.

My Bitstamp funds have been restored indeed.
8  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: bitstamp btc withdrawal problem on: February 11, 2014, 04:39:20 PM
I am a puppet. But also puppets have feelings!
9  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: bitstamp btc withdrawal problem on: February 11, 2014, 04:07:10 PM
Ok, so some people did experience problems, some didn't.

I'd like to know if anybody who did experience these problems (BTC removed from account, but not shown up in blockchain) had the issue fixed by BTC-e or bitstamp? Cause I didn't get a response from either one yet and it has been almost a day ago now.
10  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: bitstamp btc withdrawal problem on: February 11, 2014, 12:03:16 PM
Same here, both my withdrawals from Bitstamp and BTC-E have not hit the blockchain, but the amount has disappeared from both accounts. No answer from either helpdesk yet.

The withdrawals have been made 14 hours ago.
11  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Are Etherum and Emunie scamcoins? on: February 10, 2014, 05:55:46 PM
1. Bitcoin was a cut & paste? Peercoin and Primecoin too? I think you're the one who is drunk.
2. Many scamcoins did this indeed, just like you do with yours.
3. Yeah, only honest people at blackhatworld and many people got their account blocked by Paypal for the most stupid things. But a court order, that's a new one...

Oh no, LeoC is back with another fake account. Too bad you don't know much about cryptos, otherwise I would be glad you're back.
12  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Are Etherum and Emunie scamcoins? on: February 03, 2014, 07:31:56 PM
eMunie is not a scam. I've seen their client and it is remarkably stable and complete. It has been in development and testing for over 8 months and will launch an open beta this week. If the founders have a scam in mind, they wouldn't have put so much effort in it.

ethereum is founded by Vitalik buterin, who has been writing very thought out articles about bitcoin with a high sense of ethics for over a year or two. Even though ethereum has been under development for only 2 months (still longer than most scamcoins), I simply trust ethereum based on the founders' reputation.
The goldman sachs thing sounds a bit too tin-foil-hat conspiracy to me.
13  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Levelcoin - Proof of Stake / Proof of Burn Hybrid - Inflation Immune on: January 30, 2014, 02:18:17 PM
check out this post in Ethereum thread:

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=428589.msg4829119#msg4829119

quote from that post:

"Also please be aware that LeoC sent this message to me via a PM:

Quote
10 BTC and I'll remove my posts even though they are factual and won't make any more. 15 and I will change my tune and promote.

eMunie have already lost hundreds of BTC and were forced to cancel their IPO when I called them out here https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=411366.0

I was going to create a similar thread regarding Ethereum, unless you send the above amounts.

I'd suggest you think long and hard about this. Which would you prefer to lose, 10 BTC or 1000, your choice.

1C7MPUTTWQjinfbRcQtW6HAc4ips7wMuiJ"

address included by LeoC in above message - 1C7MPUTTWQjinfbRcQtW6HAc4ips7wMuiJ - is the previous level coin funding address that was just changed suddenly without notice. I guess it's obvious now why it changed.

I said it before, and I'll say it again: LeoC is a known scammer, troll and blackmailer. He uses multiple accounts on BTT, and his opinions on subjects are not to be taken seriously because they change every week.

Whether or not he is the same guy as OP, or just teaming up with him, the fact that LeoC is the only real enthusiast in this thread, makes Levelcoin tick all the scam boxes in my book.
14  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [Ann:] eMunie Open Beta 1 on: January 29, 2014, 03:45:24 PM
Cool, this is a very interesting and promising anouncement!!
15  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Levelcoin - Proof of Stake / Proof of Burn Hybrid - Inflation Immune on: January 29, 2014, 12:21:40 PM
LeoC is clearly teaming up with OP here. In some eMunie thread LeoC was super concerned about every little detail of the lead developer's life, and now all of a sudden for a different altcoin that does not matter. Also LeoC is commonly known for being the same guy as some other profiles on BTT and other forums, trying to manipulate the way a discussion goes by impersonating multiple posters.

His don't-worry-everything-will-be-fine attitude here is in stark contrast to his overly critical attitude in other threads. That combined with the fact he is known as a troll and manipulator, is a big red flag. He is probably in on a scam here.

About time an emunie supporter followed me here. How am I "commonly known" for having alt accounts, do you idiots still think I'm Cossackman LOL.

It doesn't matter which specific nicknames you use or don't use, it's just commonly known you use multiple. I can't even bother to go further into that discussion. It's like when a guy puts on a fake moustache and says "hey guys, I'm somebody else". It's childish, and as a bystander you don't go into a discussion about the obvious, you just shrug.

The point I'm making, is that you are always super critical about the identity of a founding dev, and put A LOT of effort into digging up dirt. And now we have a coin that IS actually shady and you're just saying that you don't care that this project looks like a scam, you just trust it blindly.
There are only three conclusions possible:

1. you have some bipolar thing going on or are purposefully posting random opinions in random discussions.
2. you are playing a scam here
3. all of the above

It's up to the other readers of this thread to choose which one it is, but I have made up my mind.
16  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Levelcoin - Proof of Stake / Proof of Burn Hybrid - Inflation Immune on: January 29, 2014, 11:42:09 AM
I'm stoked for release, I could care less about the whole private life thing.
Even if the guy says he is someone that he is not, does that make the idea, client, and chance to make money all of a sudden disappear?
Nope, the dev could be some yokel with no education but it wouldn't matter to me. All that matters is if the coin itself is a success.
If Bill Gates had a criminal background before he built Windows, would it have mattered once it was released? Would it have stopped Windows from being a success?
Don't invest, more profit for the rest of us. This is going to be Next all over again, which also by the way did not have escrow and was constantly called a scam before launch, founders ended up getting rich.
What if the Kickstarter fails to get approved, which is actually very likely? He could very well launch with the founder list that he already has since it has grown a lot recently and leave everyone that is waiting in the dust.

Lol, why are people still responding to obvious troll LeoC/Cossak/whatever?

Just filter his comments out of any thread and BTT is suddenly quite an informative forum Smiley
18  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: Ethereum: 2nd gen cryptocurrency with contract programming, "dagger" hashing on: January 21, 2014, 10:05:27 PM
Very promising project, I'll definitely watch this and invest a little.

I do think it should be PoS though. Any form of PoW will become obsolete at one point because of Moore's law, which is not suitable for a project that seems to be aimed to even remain valuable post-singularity.
19  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2014-1-15] Epoch Times - Canada's First Bitcoin "Gift Card" Launched on: January 17, 2014, 10:55:55 AM
Whether or not the execution is good, I really like the fact companies like this are helping bitcoin get real-world precence.

And about the 10% fee, don't forget that for n00bs, this is a really easy way to enter into the world of bitcoin. Not bad at all!
20  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Official Rebuttal of claims made against my person and the eMunie project on: January 17, 2014, 10:46:49 AM
As a betatester, having used several versions of the client, and having seen Dan's fulltime commitment to this project for over half a year already, I have a lot of trust in this project and think it is the most promising thing in the cryptocurrency world that is currently brewing.

+1 for this rebuttal.
