1  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: A Cryptocurrency Protocol for Developing Countries on: May 06, 2018, 09:35:30 PM
You should take a look at what Rootstock and the Bitcoin Fundation Argentina are doing.
Basically similar to what you're thinking, and they received a big grant from the Latin american development bank to develop a usecase in one of the poorest places in Argentina.
Good place to start, let me know if you need more info.
2  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Blockchain in business on: May 06, 2018, 09:30:27 PM
We're using blockchain at our winery in Argentina, costaflores.com
allows us to have many benefits, for example, tracking of the products we add to the vineyard, weather and soil info, etc. All of this allows for anyone worldwide to check what's been added to the wine, and what hasn't.
Also, we can track through the production chain the different steps that the wine passes trough until it arrives to the final customer, (which trucks, distribution centers, etc)

Introducing OpenVinoThe goal of the Openvino Project is to create the world’s first open-source winery, and wine-backed cryptocurrency.
Mike Barrow, the owner of Costaflores Organic Vineyard, explains how Openvino and blockchain are transforming his boutique winery from Mendoza, Argentina.

"As advances in technology rapidly transform our world, the wine business, often perceived as an arcane mix of immutable tradition and arbitrary complexity, will not be exempt. The OpenVino Project seeks to revolutionize the way wine is thought about, sold, and consumed. We are actively seeking participants from the technology and wine worlds and the press to explore new ways to talk about organic viticulture, transparency and ethical business practices, blockchain trading technologies and new models of ownership and value assessment.
Whether your interests lie in wine, technology or business; organic viticulture, cryptocurrencies or product distribution, we invite you to explore The OpenVino Project."What is the OpenVino project?OpenVino is an experimental collection of open-source software packages, business processes and designs, currently under construction by a global team of idealists. OpenVino is not a company, and we are not developing products to be commercialized in the future. While the first implementation of OpenVino is being built for the Costaflores boutique winery in Mendoza, Argentina, we hope our experiments will be freely adopted and modified by other wineries and businesses.

Who is the team behind the OpenVino project?

Why an Open Source Winery?

How can “extreme transparency” bring value to a boutique winery? Using low-cost IoT sensors, 360º cameras, open-source accounting and ticketing software, Costaflores Organic Vineyard exposes EVERYTHING, and becomes the world’s first open-source winery.

WineCoins and the Blockchain

Presenting the world’s first wine-backed cryptoasset! It’s like bitcoin, but for wine. One MTB18 token is worth one bottle of the Argentine organic wine, “Mike Tango Bravo 2018”, from Costaflores.

Thank you for your interest! More information at https://ico.costaflores.com (only accept information through the website, I will not be sending PM with ETH addresses through bitcointalk)
6  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: WAVES - Complete Blockchain ecosystem for a token economy on: April 18, 2018, 06:33:48 AM
Waves is definitely a good and undervalued project and coin. All it needs is more popularity among people. People still prefer ethereum over it. Personally I like the waves decentralized exchange. I use it often to trade often.

I also like waves but unfortunately it is not listed on the exchange that I use often. I do not feel like registering on a new exchange just for buying a single coin.
7  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Verge sucked with its Pornhub partnership! on: April 18, 2018, 06:21:35 AM
Verge sucked with its anticipated and secret partnership which turned out to be PornHub. Are you kidding me??? The price of Verge after rally of more than 40% this morning went down back 40% or even more within few minutes following the awaited "partnershit"! Totally disappointed.

This is good the for Verge in the long run, it is interesting to know that Pornhub does not accept any other coin. It shows that verge is working on getting more partners on board.

Most of the information about bitcoin can be obtained from this forum itself. To see price movement, you can use websites like coinmarketcap.
9  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Are You Discouraged with Bitcoin? on: April 14, 2018, 04:22:13 AM

The problem of scalability has reared its ugly head again this time when transactions are clogging and when we are about to experience the coming of the Bitcoin Futures. People have been expecting that soon Bitcoin can reach the mainstream with the legitimization it has been going through with the introduction of the Bitcoin Futures Contracts.

People are now strongly complaining of the shockingly high fees imposed by wallets and exchanges for the transfer of Bitcoin and this should not be ignored by those tasked with making decisions for Bitcoin. This whole thing can kill Bitcoin gradually if not given the appropriate remedy.

Do you feel like discouraged about Bitcoin with this latest debacle?

The issue of slow transactions has resolved in last few months and I see transfers happening in 5-10 minutes. However, it could be made instant, it would be awesome.
10  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: I need an opinion on rejecting a job offer or crypto on: April 14, 2018, 04:14:57 AM
I have opportunity in overseas job around 1000 usd. but my mind now not in a stable manner.

please guide me whats the best option doing crypto currency on the home or move to the job overseas?

Working from home seems better but you need to have multiple income sources for that purpose. Relying on only crypto income is no a good idea as it may dies one day.
11  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why is everyone just HODLing? on: April 08, 2018, 02:16:39 PM
This is because people are investing only their additional savings and thus they do not need this money urgently. Thus, they do not mind waiting for long time.
12  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is it better to mine or buy Bitcoin? on: April 08, 2018, 01:57:55 PM
Mining requires a lot of investment and this is a big limitation in my opinion. Trading can be done with small amounts like $ 100 or even lower.
13  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Are You Discouraged with Bitcoin? on: April 08, 2018, 01:49:05 PM
I see that now the problem is solved to major extent . I get my funds faster and I think further improvements will make it more convenient.
14  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: 88% of Japanese have heard of bitcoin -- how about your country? -- on: April 08, 2018, 01:42:30 PM
I think most of the people in my country have heard about bitcoins but all are not investing . Some people will always be doubtful about online money making option.
15  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Where to Invest BTC? on: April 08, 2018, 12:34:27 PM
So where should we invest bitcoin to actually earn some profit and increase the amount of bitcoin we own, is there any legit place?
I mean cloud mining is a scam but there must be something else we can actually do right?

Just keep your bitcoins in your wallet, their value will increase with time. No need to go for activities like gambling.
16  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: So Bitcoin is better than Gold? on: February 28, 2018, 06:30:16 PM
So Bitcoin is better than Gold? Roll Eyes

In terms of returns on investment, it is certainly better than gold. But if you talk about security or stability, I will still go with gold. Traditionally, people consider gold as a very safe investment.
17  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Apple founder has sold all his Bitcoin on: February 08, 2018, 12:30:53 PM
Do not worry there are many other whales out there. In fact, if common people grab these at such low prices, it is good for them too.
