Don't sell your Bitcoin to buy stuffs that will perish few days or weeks after Christmas.

just shows how delusional people have become in this community .

and you want bitcoin to replace currency ?
what a joke .
it seems all you care is your riches , and this probably 90% of bitcoin community , unfortunately .

bitcoin will fail for many reasons ,but the main one will be peoples GREED .

go ahead and stair at the graph , all day long instead of enjoying christmas .

3  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: AI answer to how can bitcoin price drop to 0$ on: December 17, 2022, 12:39:32 PM
I think we don't need some AI to really see if bitcoin can drop to 0 or not.

I mean it has been in the market for more than 10 years and as much as the government wanted to bring it down, we haven't seen any success for them. Although we have even like the covid-19 2 years ago that tested us, but still it just goes down to $3k and then we bounce off again and hit all time high last year.
sa far no government wanted to bring bitcoin down .If they did , the chances of it going to 0 are very high .
4  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Create wealth first before the use of bitcoin on: December 09, 2022, 09:59:50 PM
If it is not currency then why does people accept it as mode of payment?  Even countries like El Salvador, Brazil and many more accept it as a mode of payment.  You can deny it as long as you want but the proof of Bitcoin being a currency is evidently strong.

almost any large business that accepts bitcoin immediately converts it to fiat .
el salvador is a country with failing economy , they embraced bitcoin as a hopeless way to get rich .same way they did with the us dollar more then 20 years ago .
so far it didn't help .

I have always come across people giving stories to promote bitcoin or give awareness of bitcoin in rural areas.

its simple . pump , pump and dump scheme .how else can you effect the price?

you can call it currency as long as you want , its not .
real currency don't need promotions and fairy tales .
with real currency , there is no prize for early adopters , that's just stupid .

6  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why are some government scared of Bitcoin? on: December 08, 2022, 08:07:50 AM
no government is scared of bitcoin .

one of government roles is to protect its citizens .
if in a specific country there is large percentage of stupid population , they need tighter control  Smiley
it doesn't matter if its drugs , alcohol or bitcoin .
if the government believes those dummies that invest in imaginary internet money will find themselves on the street one day , and become a burden on society then they need to control it .

my country did not ban bitcoin , but casinos and gambling is banned .
casino can make lots of money in taxes for the government . but i guess we have large percentage of stupid population that can burn all their money in gambling and become a burden on the rest of the normal population.

government control is not always bad .

7  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Mining & Environmental Effects on: December 06, 2022, 07:21:52 PM
Thats not how it works. Bitcoin doesnt waste ANY energy. It USES the energy. None is wasted. It all goes to securing the protocol. Bitcoin is the most secure network in human history because all that energy is USED to secure it.
oh , its not wasting the energy , its using it !
amazing dude Roll Eyes

so why do you need the most secure network in the world when you buy a cup of coffee ?

take any credit card company , they're making millions of transactions on a daily basis .imagine those transactions on "the most secure network in human history" .not possible.

i don't get it . why the regular joe needs the most secure payment methods ? are you all that important ?
owning 0.005btc automatically makes you agent 007 ?

8  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Mining & Environmental Effects on: December 06, 2022, 11:11:38 AM
In my opinion, bitcoin mining is nothing, compared to factory waste, which is increasing and piling up day by day.
what you wrote above is true, but bitcoin mining will not have that bad impact.
I have never heard of complaints about the impact of bitcoin mining on society, in fact what many people complain about is factory waste, because the impact is clearly felt.
the water around the factory is dirty, the air is not fresh, and the garbage from the factory is piling up.
In conclusion, bitcoin mining certainly has an impact on the environment, but it's not as bad as you wrote above.
you are correct .

the only problem is , in those factories waste is the by-product . factories don't just work to generate waste , they produce products and necessities .

bitcoin is a virtual asset (or currency , whatever..) and while being mined , it wastes huge amounts of power . every transaction on the blockchain needs lots of power (real power , not virtual) .compare that to any other fiat transaction or even other types of crypto transactions which need negligible amount of electricity .

exactly, he means just that. These new payment methods make me paranoid! you never know if you are truly safe from fraud, especially when your device is stolen. better to use other types of payments, perhaps with something that gives you more security and control of your finances
if you lock your phone with a fingerprint or a password and it gets stolen , it can be used only for parts .
45million people used apple pay in us in 2022 . how many used bitcoin ?

i don't know how credit card security works in every country , in my case i  was scammed 2 times on ebay , seller sent empty package / wrong items and my credit card company always returned me whatever (while paypal didn't) i payed and dealt with the seller in their own way (even though it was international purchase) .

The author simple generalization of Bitcoin usage is mediocre.  He jump in a conclusion without doing any research of his own topic.  If he could have known how to type and search legal company that accept Bitcoin, he would be ashamed of what he just stated.

One major proof to refute the claim of the author about Bitcoin never been used for legal-transaction is the number of company that accept Bitcoin.  Some of them are already listed on this article: https://99bitcoins.com/bitcoin/who-accepts/  and many more unmentioned company and retail stores that accept BTC.

most companies that accept bitcoin do that just to be "cool". they convert the payment to real  money straight away .

you can argue as much as you want , but paying with bitcoin is truly inconvenient .
cash is also inconvenient .
i prefer paying with my smartphone or a watch , this is the "new" way.

now that  exchanges are going under and people are feared for their assets "not your keys not your.... " thing , everybody moving their virtual assets to a cold wallet , which is a freaking usb drive and some papers .
sounds tempting...

since this is how it was done in the stone age , there's a need for a better way to store the precious coins .
there should be some kind of virtual space where coins can be deposited safely , without the need for stupid usb devices and writing some phrases on a piece of paper .
i guess it will be called a BANK lol .
the next big thing in crypto  Grin

12  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What is your plan with Bitcoin? on: November 30, 2022, 11:28:40 AM
Bitcoin (BTC) is a cryptocurrency, a virtual
currency designed to act as money and a form of
payment outside the control of any one person,
group, or entity.

it failed being money or a form of payment .
in current state , bitcoin is a virtual asset with limited supply .

This is a cook-up story all with the aim to either hunt for merit or to meat posts quarter, the whole content of the story didn't add up and from what ops posted there is no way that is possible, well am not surprised t this post as I have read several threads popping up lately with misinformation and lies without any form of truth. So sad we have so many storytellers lately.
i think those fake motivational stories are actually from people that lost allot of money investing in bitcoin .

he could put those 10k in proper education , maybe that could really change his life.

Bitcoin can provide greater returns than any investment, but its risks are also not small.

lottery tickets can provide even greater return , risks are also not small but the results are almost immediate .

asking this question on bitcoin forum is like asking honda forum should you buy a honda or mazda .
nobody here knows what will happen . it might go to 20k and it might go to 0 .nobody can promise you otherwise .
17  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is Bitcoin Dying as a Payment Option? on: February 19, 2018, 11:51:13 AM
for me , its already dead .
the only purpose of its existence today is to feed the various exchanges (along with other 1000+ shitcoins).
once it will be fully regulated -the game is over .

people buying bitcoin today do not care about tech and future , they care about making easy profits (thats what they think anyways)
its a virtual stock , not a means of payment .
