Another thing, 10 days ago I could see the unconfirmed double spend on blockchain.info using the transaction ID, but now it is gone. How can I see it now? I want to see the origin address which I stupidly didn't save.
8  Economy / Scam Accusations / Help us trace a scammer on an unconfirmed double spend on: January 21, 2017, 02:12:44 PM
Hi guys,

I am wondering if you can help me trace the origin of an unconfirmed double spend transaction that was involved in a scam. There have been a spout of scams taking place on Localbitcoins in South Africa seemingly by the same person.

If it ends up at a mixer, well, so be it. I am unsure of how to find out which website, exchange or mixer owns an address if there is an explorer or some info you can give me to help, please do, I cannot seem to find one using my normally on point google-fu skills.

The scammer did a MITM, he purchased bitcoins from me on LocalBitcoins and at the same time opened a trade with another party on Whatsapp. He did a double spend which went unconfirmed. The other party sent the FIAT funds to my bank account after he saw the incoming transaction. I then released the Bitcoins to the scammer.

The transaction took place on 09/01/2017 20:23:18 relayed by IP 62.210.141.185 size 224 bytes

TX of double spend: bb230e2fd30ad3f73a54622b9e0f8cad3e08740773c36c954a08036d68d26ba9

Would be receiving address on double spend: 18QcZHN6Bv3EpRd6Jbfw5PPTD7RNQTjTZT

Please how do I find the senders address of this double spend?

Any further information or help would be greatly appreciated.

Yours truly,

Grinderman

14  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Registered NPO -Water4Africa- Raising Money For Borehole Drill on: October 03, 2014, 08:08:56 PM
Thanks CrackedLogic,

Really appreciated, the work Water4Africa has been doing is great, they have dug a few wells (They also leave the villagers with moulds and tools to dig further wells) and if they raise enough funds for a borehole drill, they could do 5-10 boreholes in one trip instead of 1-2 labour intensive wells.

If you're in Joburg you could do even better and help prove Water4Africa's legitimacy? People on this forum and Reddit have accused this of being a scam attempt and it's comploetely understandable. Let me know if this interests you at all?

If you look on the homepage there is a video of Timothy produced by Google for their "Africa Connected" project.

I could post a pic of Tim from the video with my username and date, is this suitable?

Hi Bitcoininformation,

Maybe you can help me then, how can I prove identity of Tim Maguire, the head of the organisation?

Also I have not included a BTC address on the topic, BTC address is on the Water4Africa.org.za donation page.
17  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Registered NPO -Water4Africa- Raising Money For Borehole Drill on: October 03, 2014, 05:40:37 PM
Hi BTCTalk,

I'm busy spreading the word about a worthy cause, I recently built a website for them and advised them to start taking BTC donations knowing that there are many kind and giving Bitcoiners out there who are more than willing to donate to a worthy cause.

I know the head of the organisation (Registered NPO) very well and am able to put any potential donors directly in touch with them, I have been along on a trip to Mozambique before and know how hard they've all worked (All volunteers) to build wells for villages ramaged by death and disease, I am from South Africa and it's really hard to comprehend why a country just bordering us can have such poor access to clean water. Water is such a precious thing and this only really hit me after seeing it first hand.

Please have a look at their website-

www.water4africa.org.za

Here is an excerpt from their "About Us" page-

"Our aim is to provide wells, boreholes and filtration units to villages across Southern Africa who don’t have access to clean drinking water.

Our next project is to raise R300 000 ($30 000) in order to purchase a borehole drilling rig. This rig can be mounted on a trailer and towed behind a van, (which we have already purchased) which will allow us to be completely mobile and drill boreholes in any village accessible by a vehicle. By purchasing this rig, we will be able to change and improve lives.improve lives

BENEFITS OF CLEAN WATER

Traditionally in Africa, it is a young woman’s job to collect water in 20L drums from the nearest river or water source, which could be several kilometres away. This job has to be done a few times a day to provide the village sufficiently. By drilling a borehole, this job is made much simpler and these young women have time to go to school or assist in other aspects of village life.

The number of deaths due to diarrhoea drops by 21%
There is sufficient water supply to start growing crops to feed the village
Allows for basic sanitation which reduces Schistosomiasis by up to 77%
There are less deaths due to Malaria
The infant and child mortality rate drops drastically
Better immune systems and overall healthier bodies
Improvements are seen in cattle and livestock which leads to better food supply
The brain and heart are 73% water, increased brain and heart function

This borehole rig would be a blessing to hundreds of men and women across Southern Africa.

Thanks for reading.

If you need any verification to prove the existence of the organization or to chat to it's head, please contact me.

Thought I would add this little piece of info I dug up.

I stay in South Africa, I found a number for Vinesan Pillay of "Grey Griffin Shipping Solutions" in Durban, turns out they are importers of Urea and have Urea stockpiles here in South Africa, I was informed by Vinny that Grey Griffin is 51% owned by GES. Does this mean that they are also ratified to supply Urea as per the protocol?

Ask him what he's heard and knows about Uro

He know's of Uro, and gave me the "CEO's" email address (Nilesh Nair)
