2  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Partnering of X3 owners for joint mining on: May 16, 2018, 11:04:03 PM
There is a CN pool granting a bounty for mining a larger amount of coins. 1:1 for every coin mined. Initially the number of coins qualifying was calculated for one X3 and 3 months full time mining. With the increased difficulty it requires at least 3 X3 - and the difficulty will probably grow even more.

Today, a single X3 makes approx. USD 22-26/day. It doubles if the bounty gets paid. But this is a long shot and we do not know how the difficulty and the coin value develop over time.

I have one X3. The question is if we can team up enough miners and find a way to trust the bounty gets paid equally.

PM me on details.

I tried minergate.com as well and was getting super low hash rates on XMO and XDN.

Anyone out there interested in standing up an XDN pool that can support the X3?

For XDN I found the following calculation of USD 55/day: https://whattomine.com/coins/104-xdn-cryptonight?utf8=%E2%9C%93&hr=220.0&p=140.0&fee=0.0&cost=0.1&hcost=0.0&commit=Calculate

I heard of a team that might be interested in setting up a pool for ASICs if some miners are interested.

I would love to join that if theres enough interest

The original XDN seems to have abandoned the project and the new team is not yet responding to change requests. This is the new website: http://digitalnote.biz/

There is an issue with the Digitalnote daemon, which did not get the latest cryptonight updates and provides wrong responses. The last two releases do not work with standard CN pool software.

Maybe you can cheer up the new team or there is a C++ developer to fix the code.

The following pool seeks testers with their X3 or A8(+):

https://etn.nitepool.com

They offer ETN mining at variable difficulty, so - they say - the miners will work at maximum speed. The team is available via email.

are they legit? i havent received any email  Undecided

Yup. I got paid back within about 5 minutes of replying to the email.

If you didn't get an email, write support through the site, they'll get back to you.

a) They told me 10-20 business days for wire transfer to refund my X2. When sending the money, it was 2 days. They just hijack the money.

b) With wire transfer the extra charges were excessive. Shipping at USD 300 while Bitmain charges USD 100 on the same route. The surchages for crypto were also > 5%.

c) Halong started SIA Mining with 500 B52 mid march and still have some 200 online (https://siamining.com/addresses/0104ceeee0c1335e6770b9e620baa87615e1780ea1a5e6bca2df2651c92313f9c3aa56865535). They had 1.8 TH for 10 days in march before delivering, accounting for > 10% of the network hashrate thus driving difficulty. This is not a test but collection a large pile of coins with miners paid by customers. Total > USD 300k in SIA just for this.

a) and b) are not professional, but c) is what many alledge Bitmain of doing: Mining while profitable at own account, shipping when difficulty is up.

How long will it take to break even

forever Cheesy

Maybe not. Some Monero forks seem to pick up and new pools go live, e.g. https://xmc.nitepool.com for Monero Classic. If I get the figures right, a single X3 will mine over USD 30 a day.

Biggest Monero Classic pool is poolin.com : http://miningpoolstats.stream/moneroclassic
Nitepool is at least the biggest one for XMC outside China.:-) Let us help it grow.

Inno stated to start shipping today. Did anyone get a shipping notification?

Please check what the USP of EDL is. There must be more to it than just a familiar currency name.
