How would I find out if my signing up worked or not? I got confirmation that all was done on the webpage when signing up, but others have been receiving 6% and mine hasn't come through yet. Am I just being impatient or is there a way of checking I'm properly registered? I will add I've got active connections.

It's even highly advised to encrypt your wallet. Thanks, that was my preferred option.

Greetings from a new holder. I've got my wallet sorted and registered etc. But, I do have a question due to seeing a guy on here was hacked and his Bitcore stolen. If I encrypt my wallet after I registered, would it affect the airdrops getting through (excuse my ignorance I'm a total noob to this kind of techie stuff)?
