1  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Black Arrow 28nm 100Ghash Bitcoin ASIC from $0.49/GH/s on: August 17, 2014, 07:12:07 PM
I messaged Minersource again, asking for an update on the LCD and compensation and to ask for a partial refund due to the lie I was told about my ordered being valued at $100 when it wasn't. So far it seems they dont give a shit and ignoring my emails.

So if anyone is considering buying from minersource, just stop, because as soon as you have an issue. They will ignore you!
You honestly need to file a claim with the FTC to get their attention. Once you have their attention, they can be reasonable people from my experience.

ftccomplaintassistant.gov

Thanks, I will do that later after work. I have had enough of being polite to them about this, I have wrote them long but coherent emails, never threatened them but this is taking the biscuit.

I'm guessing it doesn't matter than I am in the UK? Specifically what part of the website will I be following? Computers section?

Thanks Goozeman
Just do the one about not receiving an online order and no prompt refund was issued. It doesn't matter where you're located, only that the company you're filing a complaint against is under the FTC jurisdiction (which Minersource is).

Thanks for the help. I have just spent 20 minutes writing my story, I didnt want to do it, but minersource have forced me to do this. Hope they get destroyed by the complaint I made.

Had enough of Minersource. (I need to rant)
Dan Murtha has started to ignore all my messages at Minersource.

I was speaking with him to a couple of weeks ago because I was complaining that even though bogsag3 himself told me somewhere in the thread, my order was valued at $100 for the customs, when I got my order I had to £53+ in customs duties (equivalent in $90+) and his response was apparently some slipped through at the full retail price.

But Dan himself was genuinely polite and promised me that if I was looking for more hardware that he would come up with a favourable deal. (Completely ignoring the fact that technically he should of reimbursed me for the additional fees I paid as it should of come to about £12 in duties).

So I began talking to Dan to see what kind of deal he could do for me, afterall I am willing to spend more money at Minersource for a decent miner in stock. So I asked what does he have/recommend as I dont want to spend a massive amount considering the delay has screwed me and many hundreds more people.

He recommended the BTC Garden 610gh. I was happy with that and made the suggestion about making this a deal worth while for me, but he has basically ignored the fact of coming up with any kind of deal when giving me a price. I said because I am spending more money with Minersource, I think a fair deal would have been somewhere in the region of a $200 discount, as I would ideally like to pay no more than $400 and he could consider all future compensation from this BA fiasco complete and he can even keep the raspberryPI and just send the SD card with the software. But no, I am ignored and he clearly doesnt care.

I haven't criticised Minersource at all during this whole thing, but I am beginning to feel like he/minersource is on purposely shitting on me. He even tells me that he cant work out a deal based on the compensation because its seperate. (But Dan, I asked for a bloody exchange long before my order shipped and you said no, and I still didnt argue) Based on that comment alone, I doubt very much Minersource is going to be giving anyone who ordered 1 X1 any kind of compensation that would reflect anything of value. I said to him surely in my situation as I only bought one as voucher is the logical option.

Dan ignored the fact that even though I requested a refund (which was ignored) and even though I requested an exchange of item for the price I paid - I would of even paid a bit more for something else (that was also ignored). I pleaded my case that if we could deal at $400 for the BTC Garden, that would be fair because Minersource exchanged plenty of other peoples miners and even refunded others (when he refused mine), even pointing out others on this forum took completely destroying their name of minersource because they were unhappy.

I have done none of this (unless this counts), but I can only assume that because I have been nice, Dan and the others at minersource dont give a shit about me. They have shipped my order, lied to me, made me pay for it and now ignore every email I send and thats me trying to arrange something where I pay them more money.

I think I am broken. End rant.

So, Ive had my X1 mining for 14 hours now on 1000hz and looking on the webpage my error count was 6000+. Is this normal, acceptable?
6  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Black Arrow 28nm 100Ghash Bitcoin ASIC from $0.49/GH/s on: August 04, 2014, 03:40:34 PM
Have run into a little problem with the X1 miner now. It doesnt want to hash any faster than 7-14GH. Any advice? Added pool details, updated software. Rebooted. No changed.

Are you running it at 1200Hz? Try switching to 1000Hz or 1100Hz as a test.

Wasn't at 1200. Was running at 800hz. Just switched it to 1000hz and nothing happened. Put back to 800hz and rebooted and voila, 80GH. Now seems to be fine at 1100hz too. Will leave it running for 24 hours before touching it.

Thanks for the help.

I got my X1 miner today. Can anyone point me in the right direction of a setup guide with linking it to a pool etc?

I have managed to access the miner by finding the IP address from my routers attached devices but thats as far as I have got.

I have found the guide on Minersource not very helpful as the IP address on there didnt work and it doesnt say anything about adding pool details as the images on their guide are different to what I am seeing on the webpage.

Thanks

Open a web browser, and go to prospero.blackarrowsoftware.com and see if your X1 comes up. Also by default the IP of the miner takes you to the Control Panel software, to change pool etc you need to go to "MINERS_IP/lcd/" for the LCD interface.

Thanks bobsag. I have sent your support team an email regarding some other issues unrelated to miner setup, if you are able to take a look, I would appreciate that.

People on their forums are reporting that their miners are being shipped, even though their orders have been canceled after they have requested refunds.

That actually makes sense as to why the orders in the 100s aren't being touched yet. Ship out the orders of the people requesting refunds first, so you don't have to refund them. Then ship out orders for people who don't say anything, as they have most likely given up.

That is what I think is happening. I ordered from Minersource and when I tried to get an exchange for an Antminer S3. My order seemed to magically ship. Could be a coincidence. Would still prefer the Antminer. I still want to know when compensation will be finalised.
11  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Black Arrow 28nm 100Ghash Bitcoin ASIC from $0.49/GH/s on: July 18, 2014, 04:45:56 PM
Got my tracking number from minersource for the 1 X1 I ordered. The tracking took 24 hours to sort itself out as USPS reuses tracking numbers. So far its only been received electronically. (Im guessing its not been picked up yet or they havent scanned/uploaded info for a while)

I tried to get my order exchanged for an S3 and pay the difference, but they assured me that my miner was being shipped this week and so far so good. (albeit much later than anticipated) Yet to find out what UK customs has instore for me. (I dont even know what minersource have valued the miner but for sake of not paying much more money, I hope its low)

Dan the support guy did also say Minersource are looking into the possibility of providing their own compensation in addition and that Minersource will never be taking a long term preorder again. The support desk have been really good for me whenever I emailed them.

I also asked my order be shipped with LCD but I am beginning to doubt that has happened. But doomed if I do have it and doomed if I dont.

Cant wait to receive it, just so I can sell it as compensation, if we ever get anything will not be worth it.

Your X1 should be marked @ 100. USPS is terrible on scanning and updating their packages

Thanks bobsag. Appreciate the info. I shall look forward to atleast running it for a few days, sell it and purchase something more worthwhile from your store.

Well today I asked minersource support if I could change my order for an Antminer S3 and pay the different and got the generic email saying now BA are shipping orders, they are no longer going to do anything.

Would rather wait for an S3 than the 1 x1 I ordered. Really not happy with any of this.

Hey Bobsag, was the surprise ever revealed and I missed it?  Or is it still under wraps?

Surprise was that BA was not going to Price/Hashrate Match per their previous promises....

Surprise!

Lmao, that is EXACTLY what i was thinking. Thanks black arrow.

I really hope the building they are in collapses around them.

On a more serious note, I am guessing the surprise has not been announced. Surely if Minersource is sending out stock, the they should be annoucing it very soon?
I already told the surprise, i wasn't joking it is management software that manages multiple prospero miners at once.

Shocked I only bought 1 x-1. They made out this surprise was something that would benefit everyone. Well I have nothing else to say now.  Shocked

Having been away from these forums for some time now planning my wedding for this August. Can anyone catch me up and summarise any important info that may have been posted? I have been seeing minersource on facebook.

Just curious about delivery times, if anyone in the Uk has got theirs? Compensation? What about customs values etc? Anything worth knowing?

Thanks

Glad tapeout has been announced. Whats the next thing we can moan about whilst we wait 2 months?

Is this where BA announce on a weekly basis that everything is on track for May delivery and a week before May, we get told about a delay?

Apart from actually posting pictures, its a waiting game now, just 2 solid months before a fully fledged forum riot happens if BA anounce another delay or total failure.

What date and time can we expect the special update regarding tapeout? Its been 31 hours since the original announcement, so does that mean less than 5 hours, Verisilicon will be done?

Blackarrow, give some bloody good news regarding tapeout!

So just read 5 full pages of posts and no news apart from renders of the X1 and Australian reseller which was actually annouced on 1st Feb on the BA website.

BA, what are you doing with the compensation package and when will it be announced.
