As a newbie, chances are you'll just steal whatever coins are deposited to that address.   Undecided

While I can assure you I wouldn't I completely understand the suspicion.  Contest is now over, sadly and unsurprisingly people going door to door won by a wide margin.  I went ahead and returned all the donations we got.

Honestly, I won't be surprised if the thread is deleted either.  We were given this contest a couple hours ago and told to raise money so hard to establish legitimacy in that amount of time.

Hi Guys,

I'm in a charity competition that's raising money for St. Jude and local (Memphis) homeless shelter.  The other teams are all raising money offline but, I figured the bitcoin community is cooler than offline people so I built a website (in under an hour so it doesn't look so good).

Competition ends at 5 central time.  Feel free to send me any questions.

We were given the challenge to raise money a few hours ago so hard to show how legit I am.  I'll be happy to do whatever you guys suggest, receipts, photos or whatever.
