So I have two strange snapchat accounts on my friends list: huskie_snaps and sexynudebabes2. It appears that both of these accounts function like so:
1. Snap chat users add this account to their friend's list. 2. Snap chat users that add the account send snaps to huskie_snaps or sexynudebabes2. 3. The snaps sent are automatically forwarded (i think) to the story for huskie_snaps or sexynudebabes2.
How does this happen? I know that there are a lot of accounts out there like this. Anyone know?

I'm interested in purchasing a so-called "premium domain" that costs around $1300 USD. Does anyone know of a domain service that sells domain for bitcoin? Also, thought the domain costs $1300 USD now, it wont cost 1300 every year...right?

Looking to build a new website that can do the following:
1. Allows me to create a new user registration, with login and password. 2. Allows me to embed google maps (or other location app) so registered users can connect with other registered users nearby that have similar interested. IE: I login and want to search for people in my area that are interested in football. 3. Allows users to either edit their profile or post an interest that other people can find by searching.
I don't write HTML. I want something that's easy. Anyone know if this is possible?

His call to ban bitcoin is ironic in light of the U.S. Supreme Court's decision in the Citizens United case in 2010 which held that: "Political spending is a form of protected speech under the First Amendment, and the government may not keep corporations or unions from spending money to support or denounce individual candidates in elections. While corporations or unions may not give money directly to campaigns, they may seek to persuade the voting public through other means, including ads, especially where these ads were not broadcast." http://www.scotusblog.com/case-files/cases/citizens-united-v-federal-election-commission/So if bitcoin is considered a currency (in additional to being a protocol), it should be legal to spend it as a form of protected political speech. You are correct. I work at a political action committee (IRS 527) that focuses specifically on accepting bitcoin as contributions. www.coinpac.org

I'm familiar with high frequency trading and I'm not sure if this is possible. The confirmation process for both bitcoin and litecoin are way too lengthy for high frequency to happen. The Wall Street firms that use HFT can trade thousands of shares in tiny fractions of a second. Even the confirmation time to complete a bitcoin/litecoin purchase or sell order on the exchanges takes way too long for high frequency trading to be useful. You might want to look into something like bitcoin builder here: https://bitcoinbuilder.com/Your idea of HFT, if you wanted it to be even close to the speed of the Wall Street HFT systems might require the establishment of a futures trading market for virtual currency. Given that the exchanges can barely function reliability with modest trading traffic, they most definitely could not accommodate a HFT system.

I kind of follow you. I'm trying to get money from one checking account to another checking account without paying VISA. I wouldn't really be transmitting money. I'd be facilitating the purchase of a bitcoin by the customer that wants to "pay" for the good or service. I then facilitate the transfer of the bitcoin to the ownership of the company that's trying to get paid. Lastly, I facilitate the sale of the bitcoin that the company trying to get paid has in the amount of $50.
The problem I'm having is that I'm worried about people being put off by the "virtual currency is evil" crowd. However, I know people will love the low fees associated with virtual currency transactions. In essence, I hide the fact that a virtual currency transaction as actually happening (even though it is) just to take advantage of the low fees.
If only I could program that good....

Has anyone here thought of a way to somehow set up an app that has a bitcoin payment system without the person using the app even knowing that they're paying for something with a bitcoin? I'm interested in financing an app that does this - I just haven't found an easy way to explain what I want to developers. Here's the process I'm thinking below.
1 - User downloads the app for free. User enters bank checking and routing number. 2 - User purchases a service through the app. The good or service is provided by a company that is also using the app. 3 - User pays $50.00 for the good or service, $50.00 is used to purchase a bitcoin. 4 - Bitcoin is transferred to the company using the app. However, they only see it show up as $50.00 5 - Company can cash out whenever, (but is somehow encouraged to cash out soon to avoid volatility in btc price). When they "cash out" they're actually selling the bitcoin for $50.00
Both the customer AND the company that use the app never see or realize that they just conducted a bitcoin transaction. No visa or mastercard fee. I don't think you'd even need a money transmitter license because you wouldn't be transmitting money, you'd be transmitting a bitcoin.
Does anyone think this makes sense? I'm racking my brain on how to make an app where I can get some one to buy something and from some one selling something, but with NO visa/mastercard fee.

So I have some ideas on iphone/android apps that i'd like to make. Unfortunately, I don't know the first thing about software programming. I've clicked around the net and found some sites that offer apps....to make apps. Does anyone have any experience with these or have any recommendations?

Legal tender laws are in place at the federal level anyway. I believe the most relevant section of U.S. Code for this is Title 18 Section 489.

I've been working on a bitcoin payment system for public entities. Could be a start-up opportunity to make good on an investment and progress the idea of bitcoin. Anyone in the area that would be interested in this? PM me or email me at smcgovern@municipalefficiency.com
