1  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: BTC or ETH in 2018 on: February 12, 2018, 08:52:06 PM
Bitcoin or Ethereum, Which of these coins will rule in 2018?
in my opinion both have the same potential, if you only have a little capital then buy ethereum but if you have big capital you have to buy btc to make your money becomes more

Each holds its own, id say just like just like this gentleman, only difference is keep in mind BTC potential to tank even at its current price. so i say be more ETH dominant and play around with BTC since its so damn volatile.
2  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Nvidia CEO Huang: Crypto Is Real, The World Is Coming to Terms With It on: February 12, 2018, 06:22:16 PM
Very positive news for the cryptocurrency market. Nvidia CEO Huang says

This year, the world is starting to come to terms with the existence of crypto. It’s based on blockchain, and it's very secure and very low overhead. I think there’s clearly real utility. It’s a real phenomenon, and so everyone is coming to terms with it. I’m not against the concept of virtual currency — it’s as real as virtual goods, and video games. And as you know, tens of millions of virtual goods are created and shared and sold in virtual reality, and people invest thousands of hours to create space ships in space that they battle against each other. So, the concept of virtual goods and virtual worlds and virtual currency all ties together.

Hopefully that is how more people start to feel this year
too many people have a very negative view of cryptocurrency
3  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Cryptos in uptrend, will there be another big dip? on: February 12, 2018, 06:15:10 PM

i agree, things are very volatile right now
4  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Is 1ETH=$10,000 worth the possibility? on: February 12, 2018, 08:46:20 AM
Definitely not in 2018 but if BTC continues to decline the way it has then ETH wont need to hit 10k to surpass BTC
5  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: ONE PCIE cable for two GPU's? on: February 12, 2018, 08:31:21 AM
Its best not to chance it, just get another PSU. are you planning on getting other cards?
6  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: I need a safe way to sell my GPU -- any ideas? on: February 12, 2018, 08:25:18 AM
I want to sell 5 x 1070 TI.   But I am worried if I sell them on ebay I might get scammed by a buyer.  I'd sell them individually and spaced apart a couple hours to make sure I don't get the same buyer.  What are the chances I could lose a lot of money?  If I video myself showing the card put in box at the UPS store and handed over to clerk, should that be enough evidence to show ebay to prove I mailed what I promised?  I have 100% feedback over the past few years.  HOw much does ebay do to protect the sellers?  Do they insure against this?  They make enough commisions on the sales it seems like they should protect the sellers as well no?

Instead of using ebay or any other charbackeable method just use crypto plus escrow and that's it.
While the buyer may not be trusthoworty but escrow make it safe.

Thats a great idea, do you have any recommendation on where to go for escrow service?

State no returns on e-bay or just do the 7-day return policy

Ebay should be good, i myself am also getting rid of 4 1080 Tis
8  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Can world Government Kill Crypto? on: February 12, 2018, 07:56:26 AM
I think the governments cannot kill crypto. When Bitcoin started, there was not a single country yet that pronounced any support to it or even a little acknowledgement. Despite that, Bitcoin grew very organically, albeit lonely. Cryptocurrency at that time was simply about Bitcoin. And it was just like an underground currency that mainstream people hardly heard of. But the support coming from the people themselves caused the growth of value of Bitcoin exponentially.

Exactly, the community will keep Cryptocurrency alive

It depends on how you want to go about it. the market does look good but i dont think the dip is over, it may continue. just be careful with what you do and always stay on top of whatever coin you are focused on
i say buy 25% of the coins you were intending to buy and hold them for a week or two and see how they did. Alot of altcoins spike high then drop to the previous price before the spike, then slowly decline until they are at half the value they were at before the spike

At most they will be able to devalue and discredit it, and make it difficult to convert fiat into crypto but the online market will still stand. It may not be the same after but it will definitely survive. You cant kill this
