people having massive problems with staking. errors everywhere in the debug log.
not a single word from devs about these issues. Where are they at this critical time of the coin? How on earth do you justify a 50% premine and be mostly absent?
Can they take a look at the problems people are having on discord?
Right now its filled with people having problems, and 1-2 community managers doing their best helping with the limited knowledge they have.
But they probably don't care because they have the staking working for themselves and are happy cuz they get all the block rewards. (50% premine wasnt enough I guess) PoS is getting like 75% of all rewards (the very few that have it working). PoW Miners are getting screwed.

50% premine, holy shit!
At a first quick glance i only noticed the piece called "Veile Labs" and "Founders Reward"
I was like, why the hell do they need both? Thats already a 20% premine. Whatever, I'll mine and dump.
And just now I see that there is another piece called "Budget". At this point I just started laughing. So basically 50% of the block rewards going to Veil.
Question: How does the staking work? Activating it in the wallet doesn't seem to do anything..

Welcome to our thread. Perhaps you can provide some evidence to back up your claims? I'm giving everyone ample opportunity. Dash Nation is about fairness in governance and decentralized technology. I will extend this fairness to you. If you have evidence, bring it forward. Until then, thank you for the thread bumps.
Thanks. My claims? I just asked questions, which you so neatly avoided. I can repeat and expand: 1) Are you that gullible that you believe what a guy confronted with his back against the wall says? Do you realize it's the ONLY thing he can say? There is only the question of: was it intentional, or was it accidental. If he sais it was intentional his whole empire goes down. So yeah, he can pretty much only lie. I wonder. Have you ever asked Evan for EVIDENCE?? 2) Why are you trying to make the instamine a smaller issue because it was "2 years ago and only during the first 48 hours of DASH". LoL! The most critical period in human life is the birth. It's VERY important that it go well and without complications. DASH should have done the only right thing. Re-launch completely after "fixing the issues" I admire your persistence. Can you provide a "smoking gun" linking Evan to any bad intent? A phone message, a video, anything? People have laid out several issues and concerns. There is no direct "smoking gun" (afaik) evidence, but rather many smaller events that together paint a clear picture to the astute observer. A few: Remember that poll Evan made concering if they should "AirDrop" free coins to make up for the instamine? Do you REALLY think anyone would base such an important decision on random voters from Bitcointalk? What if those voters are monero shills that only want to hurt DASH? See my point? Nobody lets anonymous public decide such important decision. It's all just acting and theater to fool gullible people as yourself. Why would Evan lower the block reward that dramatically unless he knew that he himself holds the majority of the mined coins. Do you really think he would give some random lucky miner that much power? Why would he? Man I could go on and on. But talking to you doesn't feel very meaningful, you avoid subjects and seem to see everything through rose-colored glasses.

Evan had a youthful exuberance, when coupled with a lack of experience caused some mistakes to be made.
Are you REALLY this gullible? WTF. and WHY are you trying to make the issue smaller because it happened 2 years ago? There is no running away from this, the deceitful launch will haunt DASH forever. When shit hits the fan, DASH is gonna leave a huuuge stain on the wall.. will be epic mess, lots of cleanup required too.

So many bagholders gone weakhands gone i can only laugh about this dump
There is a certain humour to be found here. I personally find this dump nosedive just a bit too dramatic. We will most likely see a bounce to 260 soon, perhaps consolidate there before going up again. Or we will go to so sub 170k.. But I think it will be the former. Either way I don't care much, I have been invested in XMR for almost 2 years and I expect to wait at least 3 more years before I even consider liquidating some parts of my holding.

I'm new to monero and I was looking at putting some money into it. Question, what caused the recent price spike? Was the inflation decreased?
I think mainly speculation fueled by the positive development on github as monero keeps getting closer to a 1.0 release, perhaps combined with decreasing daily emission. Monero needs transaction amounts to be hidden from public (not just sender/receiver) and a official gui wallet, and both are close to being ready. With those 2 in place, we can begin work on increasing amount of XMR users and merchants.

If Polo wants to maintain their good image and high volume in the long run they really have to clean out the shitcoins.
Let Yobit and other small exchanges have those. Focus on quality not quantity.

I don't think Dash is a bad coin by any means.
I can somewhat understand that if we assume the date you registered here is when you got into crypto. anyone who has been around since the xcoin/drk early days knows better. I can relate to those who keep bringing up it's history over and over again. They don't want this instamined shitcoin to succeed just so a greedy and lying dev can get rich. From wikipedia: Within the first hour of launch, approximately 500,000 coins were mined, followed by another 1,000,000 coins in the next 7 hours and finally another 400,000 in 36 hours. All told 1.9 million coins were mined in 48 hours, or approximately 32% of a current supply (as of October 2015) of approximately 5.9 million,[28][29] generating controversy regarding the initial distribution of coins. According to Duffield, this was the result of an error in the code "which incorrectly converted the difficulty, then tried using a corrupt value to calculate the subsidy, causing the instamine".[30] At the time, Duffield was working a full-time job and coding for Dash on the side, so it's not surprising that there were errors in the initial code.[30] Duffield claims in the official bitcointalk.org thread (mirrored) that "Dash has no premine and was fairly and transparently launched".[31] This should be warning enough for anyone with half a brain to stay away
