2  Economy / Speculation / Re: Where is the floor? on: September 01, 2011, 02:32:34 PM
bitcoin is finished as a spec.. we are in the long slow decline to nothingness

it might work in the longer term.. but its going to be years before we see it rise again

4  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Open source trading bot? on: July 12, 2011, 07:41:46 AM
looks like this idea will kick off a huge number of spam threads,

for the noobs, dont use an open source or any free to use market bot, they are designed so that the person/group who made it can trade against what they built/released.

ie all u noobs get a buy signal and at the same time the bot maker has a different bot/algorithm which is selling

trade safe.. dont be taken in by scams

6  Economy / Economics / Re: Selling bitcoin trading bots on: July 12, 2011, 06:02:32 AM
please dont use these bots if your looking at this thread.. the way they work is having a whole bunch of noobs using the bot in its standard form while the bot maker is cashing in by using a bot that exploits the trading method of the released bot..
7  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Unit Colour Chart on: July 11, 2011, 08:29:26 AM
another reason this would be a bad idea would be the fact that naughty people could switch the colours around when they are selling something.

12  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Introducing Bitcoin Harbor – the first Bitcoin Marketplace! on: July 07, 2011, 08:33:16 AM
this type of thing will always have too many problems with people scamming tbo,

what happens when someone wants to return the goods

what happens when someone returns an empty box claiming it was the goods

what happens when the seller ships an empty box?

which ever rule you enforce the scam will be on the other side

ie protect the buyer.. the seller will be scammed.. protect the seller and the buyer will be scammed.

it just doesnt work

17  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin Technical Analysis on: July 06, 2011, 07:18:14 AM
i think the big tell here is the volumes traded over the last few days.. when it was going down volumes were very low.. with the rally volumes are 10x greater.. suggesting a strong rebound
