1  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][CSC] CasinoCoin - The Premiere Coin for Online Casino Gaming | On Cryptsy! on: December 28, 2013, 05:18:48 PM
Thank you veertje. The newer wallet and list of nodes worked for me.

Which Casinocoin site is the official one? Is it casinoco.in or something else? They only have version 1.0.0.3 on the Casinoco.in site.

Also, are there plans to release a wallet where one does not have to add nodes to the config file?

I started mining scrypt based currencies back in November. here is my 2nd rig:

Built it for under $1000 and it does 1050 kh @ 490 watts. Those are 3 ASUS 7850s. It has an AMD x3 450, which probably doesn't help with the wattage but it was all I could find at the time. First rig has 7950s and does 1850 kh @ 760 watts. That was when 7950s were in stock Smiley.

I bought my first Bitcoin around Thanksgiving so that it would force me to learn about cryptocurrency. I am blown away by all of this. Just renewed my domain names at Namecheap with Bitcoin this morning. I am trying to convince my mom to accept Bitcoin via Bitpay for her business.

I don't think the current version of Bitcoin can solve all the problems with currency, but it can solve a lot of the problems. The reduced fees and the way money is transferred (like cash) is fantastic. I like how I can create so many wallets and store money in the different places like cash and I don't need to open accounts. Plus it can be encrypted.

The downside is it took me like three weeks to realize all of the good things Bitcoin can do and has to offer. People are used to the financial system we have because they have to deal with it on a daily basis. ATM adoption & credit cards took a while to reach the market penetration they have today. I think there a lot of people that will almost need to take a class on this unless it becomes easier.

I hope more places accept Bitcoin & possibly Litecoin. I also like the idea of CasinoCoin being used for online Casinos. In the long term I think it will be healthier to have a convenient method of payment without involving a middlemen and all the fees we pay them. Plus, having the blockchain open & transparent is amazing!

The newbie restriction is to eliminate spammers I think. Anyways, I have been a long time lurker. I have learned a lot. I started out buying $100 worth of bitcoins just so that it would force me to learn about bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies. I have 1 1/2 rigs right now. The 1/2 rig is a single video card, but I have a new motherboard that will be able to handle the three video cards so I will have a total of 6 video cards mining cryptocurrencies. I can't wait!

I hope to be able to use bitcoins/litecoins locally pretty soon.
