1  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Core 25.0 Released on: November 15, 2023, 12:45:03 AM
I heard others are saying that the upgrade is optional

That's true.

What does this mean to those who are still using the old version? Will this affect them in terms of functionality or perhaps the likelihood of not being able to connect to the block chain or poor connection to related services. I am a newbie and doesn't know much about upgrades. Hopefully somebody can help. Thanks!

Bitcoin Core is designed to be backward compatible, so there shouldn't be problem with connecting to other Bitcoin nodes (unless your version of Bitcoin Core is extremely old) and existing feature also will keep working. But you'll miss various new feature, optimization and bug fixes.

Thank you very much for this information! It's hard to just do things without much knowledge these days. A lot of upgrades are happening all around the corner and for person who doesn't know much, it is a very good idea to really ask for help. Thank you for this wonderful information.
2  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Could stable coins save a deprecating economy on: November 15, 2023, 12:37:32 AM
No, I think that is not a very simple idea to just say stable coins will save a depreciating economy because a lot of factors are in play. When there is an economic depreciation, it doesn't have to mean that it is all just have to be about coins. Even war, natural disasters, pandemic and many other things can also lead to the instability of an economy which will then affect most probably the value of an asset a country may have. Perhaps in the smallest sense it may, but not totally or generally.

4  Economy / Economics / Re: Do you have any financial regrets ? on: March 04, 2023, 04:59:27 AM
Well who knows what will happen and will not. Regrets often come late. Realizing you missed half of your life for such a wonderful opportunity, you may then feel regretful or sad about it. But on the brighter side think that there are so many possibilities that could have happened. Some good, others may just be as bad as it could get. For example if such apartment was destroyed by the forces of nature or by some other reasons, would you then feel the same regret? Would you say "I missed the opportunity of my life?", certainly not. So the best thing about feeling regret is to not feel it at all and just let things be. Maybe you can find another instead of feeling like a loser because it will only add to your stress. cheer up there are so many good things in life to be happy about.
5  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why are you selling your altcoins so soon? on: April 26, 2019, 08:20:02 AM
It is good to hold coins but its better to create movements with it. The simplest method of making you earn more money in the end is the utility of the coin. Imagine if all people will be holding like you do, do you think you can gain? The answer would certainly be maybe or maybe not. It would be a race to do so. Why because all of you are holding the moment those who have invested earlier sees the opportunity for gaining, the investor might just sell or trade his coins and the person who comes late into investments will have to worry much about when will the coins go to the moon. But given the utility of the coin, the demands will go up naturally and even if you do sell your coin somebody replaces it for you because their are lots of movements and it is as if nothing was changing in its volume and demands. So don't ever worry about that, instead tell others to utilize the coin properly.
6  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin Sparks Imminent Crypto Bull Stampede with 44% Gains in 2019 on: April 26, 2019, 07:03:00 AM
You can't just make a speculation so accurate with different people doing investments. Some needs to be encouraged, some does encourage people to join, others are even doing nothing good but scam other people as well. With all these thing around, expectations wouldn't be so accurate but mind that there are so many people who do trust and use bitcoin and so it is expected that it will increase but as to how and when that would be a bit difficult to predict.
7  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Why is Binance Coin a good choice to HOLD? on: April 26, 2019, 06:24:31 AM
The fact that Binance Coin had survive as well as their exchange during the bearish market, it proves that many indeed utilize or use the coin. And because it has been there quite long enough and that it is still serving its purpose, it would be a good coin to hold. If ever anybody doubts it, then it would be a good reference to see how much volume the coin has been utilized. Looking at the graphs set for 6 months into the past you will notice a good movement of cryptocurrency. It is increasing and most of all the volume does also speak for its strength. Check that link below.

8  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What do you think about Crypto now? on: April 25, 2019, 05:06:13 PM
It is quite possible but that would probably take a longer time. I don't think it will be the same compared to the last time in terms of profit but I think cryptocurrency will be more stable such that people can then use it as a currency. For now some might be hesitant but if all concerns will be answered regarding legalization or acceptance, I think you can be as rich as others did some years ago.
9  Economy / Economics / Re: How adoption will happen on: April 25, 2019, 12:33:12 PM
Mass adoption can happen with utility. When people would have to use it for a purpose, it would certainly create good movements in the digital market. As a result of these, comes the adoption and this could happen just anywhere and not just on countries that are already advanced or the ones that are poor. Where there is much usage, that will be the best place to start.
10  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Bitcoin Debit Card on: April 25, 2019, 11:24:40 AM
I think this is helpful but there might be a considetation to make this fully implemented. That is if bitcoin will stand by itself as a real currency that could correspond or equate to fiat currency. Because of some volatilities, many are a bit hesitant to establish a business where the currency will be bitcoin. May be there is a way to make it stable as problems often have solutions.
11  Economy / Speculation / Re: Realistic Predictions for Bitcoin? on: April 25, 2019, 09:59:48 AM
If I am holding bitcoin and wanted to earn big enough, I would be predicting something like these to help promote bitcoin and hopefully encourage people and then sell my coins and get rich. This is a common scenario that I have seen. People get caught up with there schemes and they ended up happy in the end while others are crying. I hope this should end because it is not doing good to bitcoin. They should br promoting bitcoin through using it as a currency to buy products to make the market alive instead of false hopes.
12  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What token do you expect in 2019? on: April 24, 2019, 04:39:09 PM
There is no news about new coins so I think the currenct coins will stay just the same in ranks but with the possibility of growing in price or value. Although these coins have to consider a lot about the usage or utility it serves to people as of the moment. If there is no actual use then it is possible that it wouldn't be going up that much or maybe not at all.
13  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Sorry We are Closed on: April 24, 2019, 12:13:55 PM
More Exchanges would be better on the customers' standpoint but on the Exchange itself it is a bit of a competition. Establishing more competitors could lead to possible loses. I think it is better if both meet halfway. Not too many exchanges to allow good sales but enough exchanges for the customers to do transactions faster as there will be not so many customers to cater and they will have choices for the best service that exchanges can offer to them.
14  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Are Bulls strong enough to end the bear market?? on: April 23, 2019, 09:21:52 AM
I think the market is doing well for now. The prices have gone up for most of the known cryptocurrency and hopefully other digital coins will also follow. If these continues it will end up good for the cryptocurrency because it has been made even more known to this day than before even if we are experiencing bearish trends. You can view a sample analysis below in the link for the possible bullish market trend.

15  Economy / Economics / Re: KYC for penny money? on: April 23, 2019, 06:54:24 AM
There are so many victims of identity thief. People are often victims of these and they are not just anything simple, usually the crimes committed by the offenders using their identities are heavily punishable under existing laws. And if for just a penny you will be exchanging your identity, then it would not be that reasonable or fair. I think the best thing that we can really do is not to accept any of there offers so that instead might change their minds and allow you to receive even without KYC. Should they give several thousands or millions I would sign even how many KYC forms for that, but this isn't the case and so I would never accept such an unfair offer.
16  Economy / Economics / Re: Top 10 Reasons Why Bitcoin Is Falling Down on: April 23, 2019, 05:14:11 AM
I believe that these things are mostly true but I don't consider every point to be a hundred percent correct. Considering that the users by themselves created the market for bitcoin, I do believe that the users are the main reason for falling prices. This is where bitcoin and other cryptocurrency is based in terms of price. No usage means dropping prices as a result of less utility. So with good usage there will be good prices to see. Too many are just keeping bitcoin and are waiting for prices to move up and without actual utility, we will certainly experience a bearish market trends.
17  Economy / Economics / Re: Will Amazon accept crypto if Bitcoin skyrocket again? on: April 23, 2019, 04:12:15 AM
I do think it is not more about the price. Stability is important. With prices going up more like it is pumped up artificially, the lesser will be the acceptance possible. It is for certain that they do know the idea that when a coin value goes up artificially it is possible that they will be considering a possible decrease as people who are holding the coin will sell their coins. So I believe that will not be the case.
18  Economy / Economics / Re: Very stable BTC dominance on: April 22, 2019, 09:47:58 AM
No matter what the price will be, as long as the price didn't go up or down quickly as much so that online businesses with bitcoin as payments will not lose to volatility, is good. Even if bitcoin will be price at $3,000 and below, if such increase or decrease are not hourly or daily, bitcoin will be used without hesitation and can be stored or be used  like a real currency.
19  Economy / Economics / Re: What's Crypto innovation for you? on: April 22, 2019, 09:01:15 AM
Actually I never did know much about bitcoin until I was convinced by my brother-in-law to try bounty hunting. I did not know how these things work, what I knew of was that it was used by a hacker asking for money as payments in bitcoin for a file that has been attacked by a ransomware. That was my first encounter with bitcoin until around 2017 when bitcoin popularity goes very high. During this year the bounty hunters that I have known stored their altcoins and converted it to bitcoin, and like a lightning when bitcoin goes up around December it was the time when they really had bought for themselves the luxuries and every comfort in life they expected to have. The innovation was really quite successful and I would say that we owe this to the king of cryptocurrency and the legend Satoshi Nakamoto. The advances may not stop here so the crypto innovation may have been just starting yet with bitcoin taking the lead. I believe that the past will always be a lesson to learn in the future and that will be how bitcoin will be considered an innovative and a legendary coin. "Thanks Satoshi Nakamoto"...
20  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: If China Ban , Bitcoin Hashrate Will Drop ? on: April 22, 2019, 07:27:54 AM
There will always be solutions to these things. Worry doesn't make us good in dealing with bitcoin. It will only spread FUD and will makes us poor in understanding things the way they could probably work. Should they ban bitcoin then there are so many other miners that could do the same work in some other countries. Who knows even cellphones can be used to mine bitcoin in the future without problems.
