1  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: (MLM) Mktcoin on: March 04, 2018, 07:27:13 PM
Many people report that diff is so up that not profitable any more so I was wondering why some people still keep mining it and discuss other issues if it's not profitable to mine it any more?

They probably have something better to mine but wont tell what

Best pool for mining?

Timetravel algo dont seems to have right profit estimate.
have 2 X 1080Ti and ZpoomMiner is showing very high daily estimate 0.012 BTC/Day but after whole day of mining i didnt get anything

I already turned off Lyra2rev2 cose of bad estimate, and Timetravel seems to autoswitch to no profit at all, any more algos that dont work and need to be turned off?

Can anyone confirm estimate profitability.
ZPoolMiner constantly showing  0.0012xxxx  BTC/Day,   14 USD/Day.

Now, im running this for 3 hours and it should be  0.0012 / 8 =  0.00015 BTC for 3 Hours , but i only got Total Earned 0.00007298 BTC
Which less then half that should actually mine, i know 3 hours is not much time to get accurate estimate,
but still 50% of estimate earning is not very promising.

Any ideas?

Also i done some more benchmark testing with MultiPoolMiner and Excavator definitely gives more MH/s then Ccminer around 5-10%
I am trying to switch from Awesome Miner cose i really cant make it work with good auto switching, it goes really crazy and mining some wierd shitcoins,
lost two days trying to set it up, and i just cant. Going to try MultiPoolMiner now.

MPM looks promising, I tested it a bit at first before settling on Nicehash for the time being. Configuring MPM to do proper switching between coins will also require some work, though.

The more i test miners like awesome miner MPM and mining pools the more i realize that if you dont have lots of hash power and you not full time miner, then NiceHash is probably most profitable tool for mining.  You really need a lot of hash power to mine that one profitable coin for the day and sell it before it goes down hill and you need to do it fast,  8$ per day including exchange fees just dont cut it.  Ill probably switch back to NiceHash and let them do all the thinking for me for a % cut.

100% power,  OCed Strix 1080ti

Nice! You actually have -500 on the memory clock? Is this specific to Lyra2Rev2 or recommended for all algos? In my case though I'll probably have to reduce power as I am paying for electricity...

Yes, its just something i picked up on forums and blogs, im new to mining myself so i cant give you any technical info why is that.
I only heard that for Lyra2Rev2 memory speed does not affect mining performance and that sometimes lower settings give more performance.
Its suggested to lower or increse memory untill you find best performance that works for your cards. Sorry i cant give you more info about this.

Also i done some more benchmark testing with MultiPoolMiner and Excavator definitely gives more MH/s then Ccminer around 5-10%

Our linux server was hacked, hacker used SOLR http://lucene.apache.org/solr/   vulnerability to install miner on server, it is 24 core  2 X  Xeon(R) CPU X5675 which have around 500 h/s, and can earn about 20$ per month   (no electricity cost ofc)
https://www.cryptocompare.com/mining/calculator/xmr?HashingPower=500&HashingUnit=H%2Fs&PowerConsumption=0&CostPerkWh=0.12&MiningPoolFee=1

Problem is that load on server jumped to 100% which is crazy and we got load alert right away and turned off miner in 5 minutes. closed all server ports and patched solr.

Is it profitable for hacker? Yes, if server admin is on vacation for a whole year.

It is almost impossible to run miner on server without anyone notice. But lets say hacker is using automated scripts and noone notice that server have incressed load then it sure possible and profitable.  Infect 100 servers with miner and get 10$ monthly for each, its 1000$ per month.

Have in mind that those kind operations can be huge and infections are done using automated scripts to search and install virus miners on 1000 of servers, i doubt its done manually one by one server.

Hi,

I have been using NiceHash for some time and decided to try Awesome Miner.

For 1080ti most profitable algo on NiceHash was lyra2rev2 using Excavator miner and was manage to pull 75mh/s with some OC.
When i moved to Awesome Miner i seen its using ccminer for lyra2rev2 but was only pulling like around 65mh/s.

I tried to setup Excavator (latest) in awesome miner, i downloaded and setup miner manually in Awesome Miner Profit Profile.
But when i tried to lunch Benchmark Excavator only showed Ethereum alghorithm (around 40mh/s)

Kinda feel bad that ccminer is performing lower then Excavator,
is there any way to get some more MH/S from awesome miner and excavator, instead of ccminer?

Thank you
