Most advisers I've seen have some sort of experience in their respective fields, either as a CEO of a company that utilizes the blockchain in their projects, or as a board member or CTO. Their knowledge and experience can be of great value to a blockchain/cryptoproject, on multiple levels: they may offer financial advice, organisatory advice, technical advice or help in networking and setting up a brand.
I think most of them are introduced to projects via networking, conferences, summits, meetings, you name it. Sometimes advisors may offer to provide services if they really believe in a project. I assume that, them being an official team member, most advisors get paid using the capital raised from investors / ICO.
Most of these advisors have LinkedIn profiles, so you can check their resume and past experience. Then it's up to you to decide whether they are trustworthy or not. Do your due diligence. Wink

I don;'t think there is any harm in using 2FA. Privacy is not really a concern for me when it comes to 2FA.

I think the best way to start trading is playing around with a handful of coins and test the waters first, before going bigger and investing your hard-earned money.

It depends. Sometimes I tend to go with the flow of my emotions, other times I am patient and don't let downswings affect my mood.

Sometimes I feel the KYC process is overkill, and it looks like it's fairly easy to fake photographs or document. More of a formality than anything else.

A good trader is patient and not too greedy.

If you lose $2000 and you worry about it so much you have to start a thread about it, you've invested more than you were willing to lose. That's the lesson to be learned here.

I feel like daytrading would do me more harm than good, let alone give me sleepless nights. So I choose to mostly hold my coins long-term.
