Bitcointalk has become a shit show of high ranking members who know nothing but pretend to be some kind of authority.

4  Economy / Digital goods / Re: Selling Website | ~ $3000 Passive income per month on: September 27, 2020, 04:13:40 PM
If it was making that kind of passive income they would not sell it.  PERIOD.

....and only selling it for ~6 months of the stated passive income..... this is surely a skamaroo!

Honestly, I don't appreciate people like you proclaiming that I'm a scammer because you think that a deal is too good to be true. Don't buy if you think I'm scamming. This company will sell easily on Flippa as soon as I publicly list it. Your loss.
5  Economy / Digital goods / Re: Selling Website | ~ $3000 Passive income per month on: September 27, 2020, 04:05:40 PM
do you mind to share the website url with me?
have you tried to sell your website on platforms like flippa?
also, I think you should move this thread to the digital goods section.

Yes I've listed this on Flippa and will be purchasing an advertising plan on Flippa shortly. Just thought I'd come here before I do.

I'll PM you the url.
6  Economy / Digital goods / Re: Selling Website | ~ $3000 Passive income per month on: September 27, 2020, 03:19:39 PM
Correct. This is an incredibly good deal.

I have this listed on a legitimate website, of which I needed to verify my identity with government documents and a 3D face scan.

I can send any potential buyer an email from admin@******. Or even edit a portion of the website to prove that I am the owner.

This is 100% legitimate and not a scam. The website that I am selling on will take a 10% profit, so selling elsewhere is beneficial to me.
7  Economy / Digital goods / Selling Website | ~ $3000 Passive income per month on: September 27, 2020, 08:35:48 AM

Price is Negotiable
Must be payed through escrow unless you want to pay first.

Seller's Notes

What does your business do?

****** was established in January 2020 and has seen incredible growth since it's inception.

****** is an app that can be downloaded from ****** and users can enter into a subscription if they want to use the app. ****** essentially plays the popular mobile game, ****** for you.

Profits have growth month on month and no further work or programming knowledge is needed to maintain ****** or the domain.

The entire website including the app requires no continuing efforts in marketing or maintenance. This business generates fully passive income. I have spend roughly one hour each month working on this business but a more active approach in marketing would see sales grow.

The business will include a Youtube channel that gets roughly 15,000 views per month. This Youtube channel demonstrates the ****** app in action.

I have done no marketing in the last few months and all increases of profit are from word of mouth and the Youtube account.

This is a great investment with great potential and very little work is required to continue running this business.

How does your business make money?

Through subscriptions that allow the user to use the ****** app.

Describe your purchasing and order fulfilment process

The user pays with Paypal and a license key is generated and sent to the users email address. The user can then activate ****** using the license.

This entire process is automated.

Why are you selling this business?

I feel that this business would benefit with someone who would like to take a more hands on approach in marketing.

Who would this business be perfect for?

This business is perfect for anyone because it requires no maintenance work or future work. Profits can be increased if you decide to market ******.

9  Other / Meta / Re: Seeking reporter badge images on: September 10, 2018, 09:45:15 PM
This is a great idea. It's worthwhile knowledge to know that people react better to rewards than to punishments so a system like this will not only punish spammers, but reward those who prevent spam.

Also, who doesn't like a shiny medal next to their name?
10  Other / Meta / Re: Partially decentralised moderating on: September 10, 2018, 09:41:15 PM
In order for this system to work, moderators would have to be the only people with the power to decide whether a post was spam or not, and award the accurate report. Otherwise, people would just create mass accounts and vote their own posts. This would put an even larger strain on the current mods and I assume it would take about 6 months before we saw people with even a single mod point.

This system would increase the workload of moderators and staff who are already under pressure. I think the best way to combat spam would be to hire a few more moderators.
11  Other / Meta / Re: VOTE PLEASE > [Request]Use of Homographs to be forbidden. on: September 08, 2018, 10:50:58 PM
I believe that the use of homographs definitely suggests the intention to hide plagiarism and so a form of ASCII binding could be set up to deny the use of homographs. This would prevent plagiarized character strings appearing identical to the original if a web scraper or bot was to view the strings, but the scraper should still be able to tell that 99% of the text is copied.

I'm not sure if Bitcointalk has a bot that checks for plagiarism but I assume it does, (or else the use of homographs here wouldn't make a difference) and so another alternative would be to check any text that uses 'mimic characters' with more scrutiny. For eg, a string without the use of homographs could clear a plagiarism check if 70% of the text is original, but a text with homographs might only pass if 90% is original, or not pass at all because the only logical reason for the use f homographs is to evade recognition.

A third option would be to just report simular looking posts to moderators, but even here, the use of homographs to conceal plagiarism is negligible.

So the use of homographs logically means that it is the posters intention of hiding plagiarism from bots so the best course of action would probably be to implement some function into the web crawler that check Bitcointalk and give it permission to delete and ban all posts and accounts that use homographs. The Armenian characters set has characters identical to the Latin character set, eg. օ, ո, ս, Տ and Լ. There isn't a Latin board here, so removing Latin characters from this forum could work.
12  Economy / Services / Re: How to make a fortune with crypto?! on: August 01, 2018, 05:17:22 PM
So, if I understood correctly, are you going to post signals here? Do you ask for payment for your service? What is this post about? Did you just want to show to people that you have earned some money via trading?

Give us more details about that.

There's always a catch to these sort of things Wink

14  Economy / Services / Re: [CLOSED] Logo Contest for EonBot - 0.05BTC for the Winner [CLOSED] on: August 01, 2018, 04:26:34 PM
I agree that this competition did seem a little fishy.
Firstly, only offering a prize to first place is strange. This whole thing seems to have been a setup to generate hype, when they already had a design created.
I knew this from the start and chose to take a gamble with the competition anyway, but not all gambles pay off.
Congratulations to the winner if in fact this was a legitimate competition.

I would have gone with 'ICO Bulls' but good luck with your business.

Admin when exactly this competition will be end...
Hey guys, today is the last day or already ended ?

The competition ends in about 7 hours.
17  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Statistics about Bitcoin Gambling? on: July 29, 2018, 08:31:59 PM
Are there any statistics on how gambling with Bitcoin (and crypto generally) develops? I would be interested if it increases or decreases. From time to time there are articles on media like Coindesk but I'm not sure if you can believe the data.

I imagine that gambling with bitcoin as opposed to fiat currency is more risky because the proxy of a 'digital currency' doesn't hold the same mental weight value. That was the case for me anyway, because I could justify that I was only losing 'magical internet coins' instead of real money. Unfortunately, this all happened back in 2014, so my magical internet money would eventually be worth over 100x paper money.

20  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Where can I buy safely BTC and ETh on: July 28, 2018, 11:48:36 PM
Use a well trusted and long standing exchange. Or you can find a highly ranked vendor on localbitcoins.
