I have some AMD (5850, 6950, 7970) GPUs and want to mine some XMR. Do you think it is still profitable to mine XMR at this point?
If you have free power or believe XMR can go up in value and are willing to hold onto what you mine for awhile.

We're here to announce that our Stablecoin pool now has Two-Factor Authorization (2FA).
2FA is not necessary, nobody wants to steal this abandoned coin.

Is diff back to 512 as I have submitted more shares than i normally do at 1024 diff?
No, still at 1024.
|
|
|
Are we on fastcoin? At 1024 diff my 750 khash doesn't even have a chance to get a share before a new block.
Disregard: We switched.

I really hope people with high hashrate willing to drop their hashrate till the diff adjusted .... so it won't go too high for small miners like me It would really be a win win for them, they could go snag up some other coins and as soon as the next diff adjust hits they come back and keep pulling in a lot of coins rather than raising it and pulling in less coins. Before that happens I need to figure out why my CPU is accepting shares but they don't show up in the pool.

Is there a trick to CPU mining? I am using the modified CPUMiner and getting accepted shares in the miner but they are not showing up as accepted or rejected in the pool, I have tried LA.VERTCOIN.ORG and NY.VERTCO.IN. I am familiar with ALT Coin mining and yes I do have the correct username and password set in my .bat

“@middlecoinpool: We're now using a difficulty of 1024.”
...before anyone complains... this WON'T significantly decrease your earnings, however, it WILL increase short-term variability I buy that if your miners are around 1Mh/s+. If you have slow miners which some of us do you will have to get very very lucky to solve a block during a round.

For those without twitter, posted few minutes ago :
"Database is still catching up. I might need to up the difficulty to 1024 temporarily until I get the server upgraded."
and
"My database code isn't very efficient. And the more shares I have, the slower it goes."
Ouch, moving my slow miners away for now.

What's the news? What are you working on atm? I love to watch your pool working with some more power soon Preparing for Beta release this weekend, the floodgates open and the hashrate goes up. Public Beta?

The constant trolling and whining in the Hashcows thread is getting pretty bad. I don't have a ton of hash power but would be glad to throw it at HashBros to test things out. Username is uh60james.

I'm honestly glad that the chinese factory miner left. With a hashrate of 800MH/s you probably shouldn't be mining on a pool anyway.
I hear you, but I don't think he's left. His hash rate is <400Mh/s right now, but if you click the link, it's definitely him. If this is no Scrypt ASIC testing lab.. This Scrypt Hashpower would translate to around what 2000 AMD GPU cards.. with powertake +300kwh.. Just rough numbers i could assume wrong. but hey i would wanna see that 2000 GPU farm http://middlecoin2.s3-website-us-west-2.amazonaws.com/reports/1M3jtksp1upR33SX1VzeCfH5x9fc6zKykR.htmlI maybe scored the screenshot while they were booting up? 1.2GH/s woot woot. Just a reminder. It's possibly this chip: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=355268.0Just 25k of them. That thread has the link to where they are for sale now. Looks like they were released today... first ASIC scrypt miner? (at least available to public) Even translated that page gives me a headache.

If you keep a watch out you can pick up a 7850 for about $100. Good for ~400Kh/s.

Where are you getting your info from? Coinwarz show SBC more profitable than LTC.
Same place, during the period we were mining. It almost changes too fast, if a pool switched as fast as that site does we would never solve a block. I learned quickly that mining LTC directly was a waste of my time and resources.

Soon. Thanks, I like what I am seeing here. Looks like you really put a lot of hard work into this pool.

Crazy question:
Owners, when you trade my coins on the exchanges, lets say 1 BTC worth of SBC, how do I know that you aren't pocketing half? Trust?
I realize we opt in for auto trade, but a paper trail seems necessary.
You could pay me half of what my shares were worth, and just say the prices dipped when you decided to trade.
Mainly trust. You could figure out an approximate value based on your shares, total shares and the number of coins mined. I will just trust them, if you don't nothing is keeping your from moving to another pool or keeping your coins and trading them yourself.
