3  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: FireFlyCoin Launched! on: January 01, 2014, 09:43:01 PM
I feel like the pool is not paying correctly.
I get a payment every 2 or 3 mins (90 to 95) for an hour then 2 hours go by and I get one payment for less than my other payments(25 to 30).

I let it run all night and about ever hour it stops paying for about 2 hours.. I don't understand.. Is the pool skimming off me?

I though maybe my hardware is dropping the pool but it my hardware doesn't do this on any other pool.

I feel like I'm getting ripped off!!

Is there another FireFlyCoin pool?

5  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: [WTS] 7x ASICMINER blade 71 GH rig, supporting hardware, all or part (auction) on: December 29, 2013, 11:17:09 PM
.6BTC for 2 working blade including shipping & molex connector

Is this in addition to your earlier bid or are you updating it? Somewhat confusing since your earlier bid was for up to 4 blades but now you are just bidding for 2.

it was just an update..

I'm looking to buy 4 blades total!!

I'm in the works of buying 2 blades from another seller.

I will still buy 4 working blades for 1BTC including shipping & molex connectors from you
But this bid is short term. If my other deal goes through before you decide who you are going to sell your blades to, then I only want 2 blades.

Thanks

I have a backplain & 1000w PS I want to sell... Make offers or trade!!
It doesn't seem to power the blades very well. Only running at 75%
Blades run at 100% if I power them separately. Maybe something is wrong with PS??
10  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: [WTS] 21 Block Erupter Mining Rig 7GH/s on: December 28, 2013, 09:00:35 AM
You might want to rethink your price....
2nd re post on ebay and still no bids...

These usb miners will never make a ROI @ $400

If you start mining today with a 25% difficulty increase every 12 days.
by December 29th 2014 you will have only mined 0.17843 coins..
At today's exchange rate that's $130 to $140

Lets say the exchange rate was $2000 from now to December 2014
You would max out at $326.57 by July 14th before you started loosing money because of the combination of difficulty level and power consumption.

At "VERY BEST" these are worth $200
You will never get $900.. your best bet is to sell them separate for around $45 to $50 each on ebay.
But then you have ebay and paypal fees.. If they sell for $50 each starting at .99 cents and $3 for shipping the fees will be just over $7.00 each
7x21=$147 Yes you will make the money you want by doing it this way but think about all the time that is involved, also as a seller you are taking a lot of risk...
There is a lot of fraud on ebay, they are always on the buyers side!!
Selling on ebay is for big business and fools.

You are better off borrowing money from the mob and not paying them back!!

Anyway my offer for all plus shipping is 0.25BTC only because the PI and hubs are included.
0.15BTC for USB miners only

EDIT: before you start breaking down my calculations they are probably off by maybe +/- 10%.. Ether way no one will never make ROI @ $400

13  Economy / Speculation / Re: Anyone "all in" on bitcoin? on: December 27, 2013, 09:13:27 AM
I got in around October 2012, I spent about $5000 on mining hardware and about another $5000 since then. Around July of this year I started mining ALT's because the difficulty of BTC is becoming too high. With-in the past 2 months started trading the ALT's I have mined and feel like I'm doing pretty good. I'm holding almost 60 BTC.
Mining Bytecoin have been most profitable but the mature time is killing me (120 blocks)... I'm guessing this is why no one is mining it but its selling high and fast.
Think god for Poolwarz, before them there were not very many good ALT mining pools.

I've always been a reader, but recently I registered here because I want to start a forum/escrow service/ and maybe an all in one pool for all ATL coins.
This was before I noticed Poolwarz was created so the all in one pool ideal may not happen. I am a coder but Poolwarz is far better than what I had in mind.
I have thought about an exchange as well but I don't even know where to begin coding a site of that complexity by myself.

I have most of the coding on the forum done and about 70% of the escrow portion done. Although I have recently had another ideal on the escrow portion. I was thinking instead of an automated escrow, use people like your self to be part of a team that will be the middle man. Each team member will be bonded. If you are purchasing a product for 10 BTC the escrow team member will have a bond of 10 BTC held by the website. Doing it this way will allow people like your self make a percent of the escrow. Kinda like profit sharing. 1.5% for the escrow 1% to the team member and .5% to the website.

Anyway I have about $10000 invested and by 1/5/14 I will have 60 BTC. So I'm in the black by about $30000 as of today's exchange rates. I'm hoping BTC will be back up around $1000 soon and I figured I would cash out. Although I said the same thing before it was up around $1100 and never cashed out.. So I probably will stay in, but it is becoming harder to mine and I don't have as much time as I use to needed to focus on trading. My wife is bitching about the heat and noise created from the hardware and also me having my eye's glued to the screen 24/7.

My original goal was $100k then cash out but with difficulty too high, mining hardware too high and trading risk too high, I guess I really should cash out and buy my wife a fat ring to try and make up for the past year I have ignored her.

19  Other / Beginners & Help / Pool support fourms?? on: December 14, 2013, 05:54:13 AM
I was wondering why the Pools don't have their sub categories + forums.
Its very difficult to read when 10 people are taking about 5 different things and you have a ton of quotes on top of quotes...

Why not give each pool their own category with subs?
