2  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Islamic Bank of Bitcoin? (28.20 BTC Investment so far ) بنك بتكوين الاسلامي on: July 04, 2011, 09:37:33 AM
Nice idea bro.
I would/will support your idea, but iam on travel now,and on my way to Italy and dont have access to my client.

Iam working on plans to apply for bank license here in Norway called sparebank (more or less savingbank) and bring with it islamic elements. interest free etc.
the recuiments are not that hard compared to commercial bank  Grin (fractional reserve banking
must be abolished)

i havent looked for investors becouse I trying to get some formalities
in place first (and sorry investors must be Norway bases and is subjected to checks and regulations)

I was actualy thinking of since (if this idea becomes reality, i have set 12-14 months time line) we can issue accounts to have deposit of BTC and customers could have option to convert their funds back and forward from NOK/euro to BTC or back from BTC to NOK/euro.

I have problems with this last minute announcement thing. it's okay for me if they say closed for a week

Thats what I meant.
I am sure they do not postpone it because they think its cool.
They do it because they think it is necessary.
And I like that.

It is not like you find out 5 minutes before deadline if you 24 hours delay

11  Other / Beginners & Help / Fk MTGOX (MTGOX is up now) on: June 25, 2011, 02:29:17 PM
It is over 15:00 GMT and no sign of Mtgox reopen.

After two sleepless nights, this is the last chance i give them
and why can they not announce the delay before deadline.

Mgox is up now
12  Other / Beginners & Help / Interest organization and security token on: June 23, 2011, 12:44:40 PM
My english sucks and I'm not an expert but I have some good ideas how improve exchange safety and quality improvement exchanges.

        Interest organization (called ex. BCEO):
Established to work for exchange users interests

1) Board members and policy of BCEO is choosen/drawed by this forum community by vote.
2) Exchanges is forced by the community to become member of BCEO and pay ex. 5-10 % of the trade
commissions.
3) community will support BCEO with donations.

Some of the tasks BCEO can be (u guys can add extra)

1) set up external servers shared by exchanges for user account data and passwords
2) Issue a more secure login options like security tokens, mobile (sms) confirmation etc..(that also non-exchange bitcoin companies can utilize in the future)
3) Perform audits on exchange security
4) Given access to exchanges accounting numbers/sheets (are the client funds complete and secured)
5) take up on behalf of community any concerns with the exchange
6) BCEO can represent the community and exchanges outside world (press release)

U experts/nerds if u see week points with this idea dont bash it, but find the solutions becouse solutions
is what we need out of this mess.

PS:  I hate this newbies crap restriction stuff

14  Economy / Marketplace / Re: Has anyone in Norway been able to convert BTC into NOK? on: June 06, 2011, 12:02:59 AM
Before I get involved too much in BTC I need to be sure that I can "get out" if I need to. BTC cant pay my rent or put food on my table, so getting the funds converted to some form of conventional currency might be needed at some point in time.

Hi Lars iam waiting my funds at fucking Mtgox, i send them four days ago from DnBNOR
through SEPA.
I was wondering let me know if you want to convert som BTC for NOK.

i life in Oslo by  the way
15  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Unimpressed by MtGOX Slow Funds - 48 Hours and Counting on: June 05, 2011, 10:20:31 AM
I Send my money from Norweigian bank more than four days ago and
still waiting for my funds, my bank is super fast it takes a day or two days for SEPA transfers
it the time bitcoin went from 8,5 $ to 19 $ and back about 17,5 it is now.

are there other good bitcoin exchanges in Europe?

i also think the bitcoin org should start a big one
