What is happening to ICO world? Why everyone has to do scams? Very disappointed with ICOs nowadays. I wish there was a system to detect scam ICOs easily.

That's why we have coinjudge.

7  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / [ANN][WARNING] MALWARE That Replaces Your Wallet Address With A Fake One on: February 23, 2018, 05:27:29 PM
I will dub this malware 'Faux Address'

It works by waiting dormant until a user copies an address to their clipboard, it then replaces this address with the address of the attacker.

The post below speculates that the malware has a database of addresses and overwrites your copied address with one that closely resembles.

There is also another speculation made that the malware could in other forms, change the address seen in your browser or wallet itself.

If more people could come forward who have fallen victim to this, we can verify both claims.

The post also offers some solutions to this problem that require the community as a whole to co-operate.

Hopefully, it helps some investors dig deeper on ICOs that they are on the fence about.
10  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / [ANN] TELEGRAM Open Network Is A SCAM on: February 21, 2018, 06:22:09 PM
Telegram is not currently having an ICO.

There have been many people opening up websites with ICOs and Pre-ICOs. They are not the official Telegram company.

All evidence can be located in this reddit post : https://www.reddit.com/r/coinjudge/comments/7z7otp/telegram_open_network_ton_is_a_scam/

As noted in the post, these sort of scams are getting believable because of the amount of celebrity endorsed ICOs in the past.

This must have caught out a lot of new investors and I am sorry for your loss of funds and the predatory nature of the scammers in the ICO sector.

Kev from Coinjudge here,

I just made a post about why Bitcoin2ndGen or Bitcoiin is a scam.

They have already raised 25 Million USD according to their site, and have Steven Seagall as their brand ambassador.

We at Coinjudge are actively cracking down on these ICO scams, celebrity endorsed or not.

I'm very sorry if you have already put money into this ICO because of the endorsement

Note: We will be redesigning our website to not only have the verdict, but also have the reasoning behind the verdict. Plus an API to integrate into applications for submitted scam addresses.

16  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / [ANN]Suspicious ICOs on: February 19, 2018, 11:09:07 PM
Kev here from CoinJudge.

If you have reasons to believe an ICO is suspicious or you have personally been scammed by an ICO, then please list the name below.

After listing, we will add them to the queue of ICOs / Coins / Exchanges to investigate.

If the entity turns out to be fraudulent, and the CEO cannot explain or will not co-operate with CoinJudge in order to prove their innocence.

Then they will be added to the database as a scam.

The reasoning will then be posted on /r/coinjudge and our twitter @coinjudgeio

Plus the verdict will be visible on coinjudge.io for those that just want a quick answer.

If you read the reasoning behind our verdict, and you not agree with us, then feel free to still invest in the ICO/coin.

One downside to our service is that on some ICOs, if we cannot find tangible reason to believe that they are a scam, you will see the verdict as "undecided"

It will also say undecided if we have not reviewed that ICO.

Thanks for reading,

We hope to bring out an API, that will be integrated into applications to warn users of crypto addresses listed as scams, so you do not copy and paste or send money to a fraudulent address.

Coinjudge aims to be firewall between scammers and your pockets.

One more thing our website is in beta in terms of design, everything works however we would like to ideally have the reasoning on the website itself and maybe even have a directory to show ICOs/Coins that we are currently investigating.

I believe that CoinJudge will be a key tool for beginners and experienced investors like yourself when determining whether to invest in a project or send money to an address or be warned when the malware that has infected your computer has overwritten your sending address to that of a scammers

I hope you enjoyed the read,

Spread the word about coinjudge so people at least check the site before they decide to invest based on a shill.

There are so many ways that coinjudge can be used to protect your money, I get excited just thinking about it   Cheesy

Thanks again for reading,
