Now that both Neo and Eth have tanked, have people's feelings toward each crypto changed?

To be honest, unless there are huge surges this year and the overall market caps hit over the Trillion mark, I don't see it happening until late 2019.  Volumes and the market caps have been struggling most of the year and there is no indication things are going to go bull for extended periods of time.  Regulations by the big markets across the world and outright banning have hurt the crypto world in the short term, but it should stabilize things over the long term.

The author probably has 1500 after their investment and needs to make 6500 in one week now.

You really shouldn't let any of us tell you what to do with your money.  And no one can tell you where it will be in 2 months.  If you're hoping for monster gains in that time frame, all I can say is hope for the best but prepare for the worst. 

The last I heard was that it was going to be end of February or beginning of March.  Obviously, that didn't happen. 

Everything is bottoming out in terms of pricing.  I don't think even at these prices, none of the top 10 in market cap can 5X, other than maybe Ripple or NEO.  Pick one you really believe in, based on your research, and see what shakes out.  My call for other possible ones near the top are VeChain/VechainThor, Icon and Waves.

This is one of the reasons why the crypto market as a whole is suffering.  A lot of noobs come into the market after seeing the monster gains of December and think they can double their money in 2 weeks.  It's just not going to happen with the current state of the market.  We are experiencing one of the most severe dips since 2013.  Unless institutional money gets involved, the rookie retail investors are staying away during these hard, down times.

You've got to find a coin that gives you a combination of relatively low circulating supply, high volume, and pending release or big news. 

VechianThor for instance doesn't have the lowest circulating supply but it's in the top 20 for daily volume and it has the Xnode activation on 3/20/18.  Now, does this guarantee you doubling your money?   Nope.  Especially in 2 weeks.  But it is an example of an altcoin that might have a price spike for quick profit.

If you end up going to the casino, play roulette and bet red.

Let's hope it's the case because it's at bargain-basement prices right now and that kind of surge is possible with a crypto-titan like Ethereum.   This is the classic buy-the-dip scenario because Ethereum will surely rebound and at least get to last December's highs.  

The alt-coins that have real applications being used now have the best chance to survive.  Only a few privacy coins will make it once the bubble bursts, especially if they only serve one purpose.

VechainThor I think will have the most growth over the next year.  They are already establishing partnerships with companies that are using actual applications and not test cases like Ripple. 

My issue was resolved after 7 days.  They never contacted me or verified anything but the funds did show up in my Binance exchange after an extended period of time.  Silver lining was that Ether was pumped up when I got it so I gained some nice profit by the "forced" savings.

You can try a place like Tradingview.com.  They use technical analysis to try and predict the direction of the market for Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies as well as foreign exchange fiat.  No one right now can say yes for sure and tell you approximately when, there just isn't enough information to predict that kind of thing.

It remains to be seen.  It never quite hit $20K.  Right now, it's trying to get to the $12K goal.  I think we need to get the nearer goals before we start asking for $25K.  If March and April go on bull runs like some are predicting, it may do it before June. 

As one poster said, very short term, you can flip Ethereum Classic because they are promoting their Callisto airdrop in the first week of March.  It should have a little surge just before the airdrop and you can make some easy profit there.

Long term, Neo is great because it's still reasonably priced, it could potentially reach Ether prices if it keeps moving up its market cap, and also generates GAS for you while staking in your wallet.  A lot of upside for this.  

Bitcoin would be a great buyin at the next dip because it will eventually pop and go past the $20K mark.  I would try to set aside fiat for the next low buy-in and then hold long-term.

Neo is the really obvious one and even though it's in the low 100's, I think it'll approach $500 before year's end.  It's starting to gain momentum for platform use and it's growth potential will follow Ethereum from last year. 

As far as privacy coins, I have a personal bias for DeepOnion (because I have it in my port).  It can follow a similar trajectory to Monero but it needs to be added to more markets and hit the attainable roadmap they've set for this year.  At less than $5 a pop, a total supply of 20 Million and a Coingecko score over 50%, I think it has massive growth potential in 2018. 

Other honorable mentions would be WaltonChain, VeChain and AppCoins.
