I just invested $200 in altcoins, will be investing more soon. The beauty of investing now is that these coins haven't blown up yet, so you still have a chance to cash in on that BTC explosion if you choose wisely.

I'm new to Claymore and have been using v11. If this new version doesn't appear to benefit me, is there a point in updating? Or am I safe just sticking with what's working for me?

Every dollar a country puts into educating its citizens, is a dollar invested in that country's future. If only education budgets weren't being cut repeatedly because of the money floating around in politics (looking at you USA).

I'm personally watching DeepOnion for massive future gains, but also Electroneum, Spectre, Zero, HUSH, and EVIL. 2018 is looking to be the year of privacy coins, but Ethereum will probably lead the way as the most stable and mainstream coin and dethrone BTC.

Thank you for the info, I'll look into switching my secondary coin. It sucks that I won't be able to access the Decred I've been mining, but it's probably worth it in the long run to switch now.

Hi,
I searched and found an old thread similar to this, but didn't want to reincarnate it just to ask my questions. I'm mining with a stock GTX 1060 for ETH+DCR on Claymore, and with dcri 50 I'm getting 18-19 mh/s for ETH and 310-315 mh/s for DCR. However, the ETH seems to be much more consistent in solving shares and showing up on my pool site; this is compared to DCR which seems to solve very slowly and most of the time not even appear as active on Supernova pool site. My question is, is the DCR mining just naturally much slower or is it a bad pool/optimization/settings? Thanks for the help in advance!

Hey all!
I recently switched from Monero to Electroneum for CPU mining, and I typically hover around a hashrate of 420-480 with my Ryzen 5 1600 stock. The electroneum.vip pool says that I've only earned 0.31 over the past 10ish hours, but their calculator says I should be earning around 10 a day. In the FAQ, they said it sometimes takes the count a while to update because of block maturity. Should it really be taking this long to update? Or is my miner (XMR-STAK) not performing correctly?
Thanks for your help.

Hello, I'm new to mining as a hobby and this forum so let me know if I'm butting in here and should make my own post, I'm still learning the ropes. I have a related question about my Ryzen 1600. I started using it to CPU mine Monero last night with MoneroSpelunker and SupportXMRPool. I was under the impression from the benchmarks that I read that I will be earning daily around 90 cents in USA $ but I just realized that the withdrawal threshold for most pools is at least .1 XMR, so it will be months before I see any available profit. What do you guys do in order to make your mining profits available instantly? Thank you!
Yeah it will take forever for you to get any payout with just a 1600, check out mining Electroneum @ nanopool.org . better profit and also you can get payout much sooner, they have a nice help page for you aswell. Thank you, I will look into this. Sounds like a much better alternative, although I really liked the idea of Monero.
