What do you guys think is the best exchange right now for VTC? I'm sending mine to Bter at the moment but some of the comments here don't inspire much confidence in it....

Cryptsy FTW! Just kidding... Sadly though I do have my VERT @ cryptsy  Cry

6  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Pools (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][Profit-switching scrypt+ASIC Pool] multipool.us on: January 26, 2014, 04:26:03 AM
I've never used Multipool before. Started mining Doge for last few hours @ approx 1400 kh/s. By balance is still zero. The help page says "Your balance will not update until a block is found" but the stats page for Doge is showing that two blocks have been found in the last 30 minutes so I would expect something to be showing.

Is this normal?
7  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Pools (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] profit switching auto-exchanging pool - middlecoin.com on: December 29, 2013, 01:56:16 AM
So... I've installed my 280x (ASUS R9280X-DC2T-3GD5) yesterday and having a hard time to get more than 575-600 kh/s with it.

Windows 7
Catalyst 13.12
cgminer 3.7.2 with:
"gpu-threads" : "2",
"intensity" : "13",
"worksize" : "256",
"shaders" : "2048",
"thread-concurrency" : "8192"

GPU core clock is 1070mhz
CPU mem clock is 6400mhz
GPU temp is around 74celcius (fan at 55%)

Increasing Intensity gives me hardware errors

what else can be done?

Also try changing the clock down to around 1030. I've got two of em and that's the only way I could get them to 700+
8  Bitcoin / Mining software (miners) / Re: CGWatcher 1.3.3, the GUI/monitor for CGMiner and BFGMiner to prevent downtime on: December 20, 2013, 01:21:15 AM
Thanks for taking the time to write this brilliant piece of software. If I can get it working I'm sure it will be great as I've been having the occasional "cgminer has stopped working" in the middle of the night.

I just need a bit of help getting it working. I think I may be doing something wrong...

I have 2 ATI 280x cards. I have cgwatcher running and starting the mining successfully after a reboot. This morning I noticed that the output from cgminer was saying that gpu0 was sick and my hash rate had also obviously lowered substantially. I had already set cgwatcher to restart if it detected a sick gpu but nothing happened?

While the gpu was sick I also tried telling it to restart if the khash/sec dropped below 900 which it was. I saved the settings (do I need to restart cgwatcher?)
and again nothing happened. The gpu remained sick.

I think I may be missing something fundamental here...

Thanks, and again thank you for taking your time to write this software!  Smiley

My payout was 0.027 BTC tonight, which was consistent with the confirmed exchanged balance this time. 2.1MH/s the past 24 hours, so I guess today just wasn't as profitable. Although, there were enough disconnections last night and today that I managed to also earn 0.06 BTC at middlecoin, my failover.

So you made more on the failover?

rob151515, this is very typical at pools. They do not pull the hashing rate of your computer directly into the site. Your hashing rate is calculated based upon the number of shares you submit in a certain amount of time. Hope this helps.

Yes I admit it I'm a newb! Tongue

Thanks for the explanation.
11  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Pools (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][Pool][Profit-Switch][Optional Auto-Exchange per Coin][Vardiff] ~ Hashcows on: December 13, 2013, 12:22:31 AM
Is the current hash rate statistic accurate?

When I refresh the page it's usually reporting a hash rate of around 900 kh/s (at the moment it's saying 700 kh/s) but when I check cgminer it is sitting at a constant 1200 kh/s or above. The statistic goes up and down but it's usually reporting down near 800-900 more so than up at 1200...
