I made a script to fix OC/fanspeed with 1070/1080 cards.
You need to set a very high memory offset in order for it to take effect. This is due to 1070/1080 cards not entering the highest power state (P3) when running compute instructions.
By setting a high offset, you skew the memory boost range for P2 to a higher level, just not as high as the offset should, as the card won't enter P3.
You can see in the example, my clock offsets for a Zotac GTX 1080 Mini. I posted this on the SMOS subreddit to help people out with a quick fix. My OC was working, but fanspeed was not. When I fixed fanspeed from the command line, OC stopped working. So I made this.

Anyone have willing to help me troubleshoot the SALFTER algos? Can't get them to run at all now. Tried fresh install, update, etc a few times with no success.
Currently trying the shrinkied image with 1bash edited before first boot.

When I trigger these errors, it seems to corrupt one or more of the script associated with the SALFTER functions, and I have to re-image, update, recompile to get them to work again.
I think the global powerlimit/OC function is also incompatible, but the issues with some kind of corruption make it time consuming and difficult to troubleshoot.
I have tested this with a 16GB usb stick, a 180GB Intel SSD, and a 500GB HDD so I am sure that the OS media is not the issue.
Everything else is brand new and exhibits no instability running the default config (untouched 1bash)

SALFTER Profit switching (both MPH and NICEHASH) give errors in 3main when used with individual OC:
Fresh image on 500GB hdd 1x Zotac GTX 1080Mini (no overclock) MSI Z270-A PRO Celeron G3930 4GB DDR4 Patriot Signature PSD44G240081 Corsair CX750m PSU (750W single rail 12V)
Used 1.9.2 image from nvoc website. Used wget to fetch upgrade script as described in Github readme Used wget to fetch miner recompile/update script as described in Github readme Reconfigured partitions and created SWAP equal to RAM size (4GB)
Setting all the per algo settings in the SALFTER section of 1bash works fine, but I plan to use 1070's along with the 1080 and will need the individual OC capability along with the MPH profit switching.
If anyone can help me understand the scripting, I figure that I could replace the per algorithm OC's in SALFTER'S function with the global variables and functions.
