1  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: ICO is the best way to invest? on: March 23, 2018, 12:26:39 PM
these days the game mostly moves to private presales and public presales, mostly for institutional investors because of SEC crackdown.
2  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: CMT (cybermiles) really makes me down, why it is so low? on: March 23, 2018, 12:15:27 PM
....why do you think cybermiles will increase in value?
3  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Still believe in ICO ? on: March 23, 2018, 10:30:57 AM
yes still many that are giving positive return although the game now is shifting toward presales. Bluzelle for example is giving you x5. Just have to carefully select project and make sure there is no sketchy presales that give unfair advantage to early investors (unless there is a time premium where they invest for a year then it makes sense but it wouldn't make sense if someone who just happen to register before you get 30-50% bonus). Just be more selective in project selection.
4  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [PoW+PoS+ERC20] PoWAdv mineable ethereum Token! on: March 23, 2018, 07:21:43 AM
can you explain the difference between this and other pow + pos coin? don't see how people would switch from eth to this platform...maybe you can convince us?
5  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Bought ETH at $800 - should I sell and re-buy or hold? on: March 21, 2018, 06:00:48 AM
always average buy and average sell.

long term investment > short term investment (for better predictability)
6  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Maybe someday there will be clarity about who really Satoshi Nakamoto? on: March 21, 2018, 05:32:43 AM
I'm in favor of him remaining anonymous. Wouldn't it be great if we judge everything based on its actual quality (i.e. code) rather than its facade (i.e. people behind it as they may have other sides to them that people will always attack).
7  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: The next 100x-1000x coin? on: March 21, 2018, 04:27:04 AM
i think icon has a potential to be 100x. Eth for koreans which is taking a good stance on crypto now with better regulation coming soon i hope. NEO surprises us with Antshare, we can see a similar gain with icon in the next few years if they can successfully execute on their visions and partnership.
8  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: 300.000.000 Tether enters the game on: March 21, 2018, 04:24:36 AM
yes, this will likely cause the market to go green. for tether fud though, i think they should be fine if they can continue to issue new tether despite subpoena in the US. Bitfinex has a multi-billion business that is generating them millions every day. They wouldn't risk it for something like this although their timing is very very suspicious.
9  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Best ICO for March 2018 on: March 21, 2018, 04:21:28 AM
Hycon?
10  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Year of altcoins or down again? on: March 20, 2018, 06:07:14 AM
i think it will be a year of crypto. Once regulation dust is settled, it will clear a way for institutional investor to join the space and they will drive price of almost every crypto coin up similar to December gain. FOMO will kick in again and retail investors will jump in.
11  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Ethereum under $400 will be a good buy or ? on: March 20, 2018, 06:03:49 AM
depending on how you price ethereum but under $400 is definitely a good buy for many newcomers. More and more developers joining ecosystem, plasma is coming, tech is getting stronger day by day
12  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: CryptoCurrency market is crashing on: March 20, 2018, 05:51:43 AM
market goes up and down as fear competes with greed. The cycle is normal, the beta (volatility) in crypto is just higher compared to stock and other financial instruments so you see these cycles more often and in greater effect. If you think the market is crashing, zoom out...
13  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How long you hold tokens purchased during the newly held ICOs? on: March 20, 2018, 04:09:53 AM
there is no one size fit all approach here, depending on your investment thesis and timeline of your investment. I tend to be long-term investors so I invest in projects with long term potential and plan to hodl for at least a year (e.g. 0x, kyber, neo, icx are some of the icos i have not touched at all). If you are short term investor, it's probably more important to look at the potential (is it a 2x 3x) and market condition. If value is too good to be true in the short term then sell.
14  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How to start with crypotcurences without investing any money?! on: March 19, 2018, 07:51:05 PM
you can also play some bitcoin faucet to earn free btc or other coins as well Smiley not much but you can get started without investing any money
15  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why The Dip? on: March 18, 2018, 05:17:43 PM
- SEC cracking down on crypto exchange and icos
- related to above, more regulations around the world
- recent exchange hack + 3rd party tool (coincheck, binance, nano)
- low volume (see article on fake vol by asian exchanges)
- mt gox selling their btc news (although i suspect this has little effect on the market but the negative sentiment contributes to downward spiral)

all these factors contribute to negative sentiment, way beyond what it is. People panic sell, esp. those new to the market that jumped in during dec gold rush. Whales likely manipulate price down to accumulate. Good time to check your investment thesis and do your homework on the fundamental to hold your bags.
16  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why price of Bitcoin is so volatility? on: March 07, 2018, 06:09:09 AM
Because current market cap is very small, whales or large traders can swing the order book easily. This is similar to penny stock that can move in large percentage compared to blue chip stocks. Also, since crypto exchanges are largely unregulated, it is relatively to manipulate the market by big players or even by the exchange itself. As we become more mature with better regulatory approach, this new asset class will start to be more "stabilized".
17  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How can I earn from Bitcoin through project? on: March 07, 2018, 05:58:05 AM
there are also many "faucet apps" that give you free cryptocurrency when you perform tasks in their app. Although most of these are frauds (they don't pay), you can look up some legitimate lists online. One of android apps people use is free bitcoin spinner (they also free ethereum spinner and free litecoin spinner) in US Play Store. It's for super small amount though but it's fun to play those games in free time.
18  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: I am so stressful with trading coins, I lost 13000$ on: March 06, 2018, 10:09:05 AM
I'm so stupid when attending crypto currency, who can help me to get money back? I also ask many traders who has experiences in this one, but I still lost money

I'm sorry for you but don't think anyone can help get your money back. This is precisely why you do your own research and invest in coins you thoroughly research and believe in. In a downturn, you will feel better hodling and don't need to rely on other's advise, which is mostly to their best interest and not in your best interest.
19  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: ETH TO $ 5000 on: March 06, 2018, 10:02:27 AM
Hm...instead of throwing random number, is there any valuation model that merits this $5000 price prediction? In my view, eth is just a prepaid computing power and thus there is a lower bound of how much miner is willing to run the network for mined eth and the upper bound is the demand for these computing powers. If eth price goes up too much, it is easy to see people flocking to other protocols or even a fork of ethereum with lower fee...so not sure if we will see $5k in a long-term rational market.
20  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is Monero a Good Investment? on: March 06, 2018, 09:42:28 AM
Most likely no 1 best privacy coin out there with working tech, very active dev who code more than talk (which can be a bad thing for price movement in the short term compared to other vaporware coins with only marketing) so a very good solid long term investment.
