Hi,

I am interested in mining. Following are my device configurations

Windows 10 64-bit
Intel (R) Core (TM) i5-4200U CPU@ 1.60 GHz (4CPUs) ~ 2.3 GHz
RAM 8 GB
Browsers : Chrome latest, Firefox latest

And I also have mobile device.

Please let me know, how to proceed. Thanks

Hi MrSheeda, your device should work fine for mining.  If you'd also like to try your mobile device, just post it's config, OS, and browser here as well.

So we’ve added you to the queue for our Beta Release.  FYI, that might not be for some time, depending on how development goes.  In the meanwhile:

(Both are required.) Thanks for your interest and we will email when you are activated for the Beta!

Its almost a month and I have not heard from team. Please respond, what's the expected time to activate my mining ? Thank you

Thank you for adding me in the queue.

I am using Samsung S7 with latest android version.

Can you also tell me what is the expected time to get response to start mining ?

Sure MrSheeda, your S7 should work fine with mining as well.  It could be quite some time before you will be activated for mining though. (We are currently focused on some of the other aspects of the project.)

Thank you looking forward to it.

anyone please share your knowledge.
7  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Offline Wallet Address Duplication on: April 30, 2018, 01:03:23 PM
Thank you all for your reply.

I know for online wallets, it might not be a problem, i mean it could be verified easily. And chances are very very few for duplication.

But for offline, how it generates address ? definitely it will be using some parameters and on the basis of it generates address. What are those parameters which ensures unique address while it is not connected to the blockchain or internet?

8  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Offline Wallet Address Duplication on: April 30, 2018, 11:23:29 AM
Guys,

I might sound stupid but one things is bothering me and i couldn't understand that. Please help
I know about the collision thing that it is highly unlikely to generate a duplicate address.

But what if i generate an address via offline wallet (not connected to the internet), how does it know if that address is already been generated or not ? I know all these things about SALT, Hash, Algo rounds etc.

So basically i want to know if what are the parameters that makes it unique even for offline wallet address.

And since it is not connected to the Internet yet so what happens if someone transfer tokens to that address ?

Please bear with my stupidity if it sounds to you. Thanks

A lot of people write that they do not understand the essence of the project. This should be a signal for developers that they need to more specifically tell about the meaning of their project
I totally agree with you. The dev team should find another ways inorder for this project easily to understand with the new members of this forum. They should have at least a video of simulation in which this project is very different and better from blockfolio because blockfolio had been appreciated as a good database of all cryptocoins.
You can just read their white paper I think you will have more understanding there also I think eventually they may release one or two video for you to check out so let's give them time
usually the best solution to this problem is a video review of the project. I hope the development team understands this and finally solves the problem of not understanding the project.

Agree that overview of the project is missing, a 2 minute video would explain all.

Seems interesting project as nobody has touched this area. Right now, i don't have any question. Just only want to say best of luck for the project.

16  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] GoNetwork - ICO by Winners of ETHWaterloo - World's Largest ETH Hackathon! on: March 03, 2018, 11:54:05 AM
I had good expectation from the project, they should have informed the community what they are stuck at rather than giving vague statements like we are finalizing the legal issues etc.

Moreover, I have asked some questions multiple times which are still un-answered.

1 - How they will be managing the security and performance considering the computational limitation of mobile devices ?
2 - They said, due to their previous experience with telco, they will overcome the challenge of p2p mobile communication. How ?
3 - No whitepaper and Roadmap.

Only answer i get. it will be coming soon .... coming soon.

They should have come prepared. Team might be very technical but clearly they are lacking the business area. Its like bunch of university students are running a project with no clear vision. just hit and try.

They are busy ICO, little marketing team for technical issues.Patient for a reply.

I know people at telegram or social media are not technical, they simply answer to your general concerns but what i expect from GoNetwork and other ICOs is that one of the technical guy should be available at social media to answer technical queries. At least you can hire someone to do this job so that it clear the concerns or doubts.

18  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Hard to Decide Potential Projects on: March 02, 2018, 07:54:27 PM
In my personal opinion, when you talk of investment is important those that are asking for your money, to be as clear and transparency as possible. If you see the 80 % of the ICOs projects runs with this speech:
1.- Their website is in an .io domain (first alarm for me)
2.- In small letters they always say we do not guaranteed nothing (second alarm). And they really should give at least some reasonable guaranteed.
3.- They do not have a real address and phone number in their web page, so they want to raise 13 million in USD in cryptocurrency to run a project, but they don’t have an office (third alarm)
4.- What happened if they do not reach the soft cap, and how will be the method of refund.
5.- The jurisdiction where the project runs. For most of the project’s will be required to create a real company.
6.- Are these companies in taxes paradises? I am not saying this is wrong, just make sure they are giving or will give to you what they offer to you. And the investment laws that rule that place.
7.- The team, remember there are a lot of faces that you can download from internet and say they are the last glass of water in the desert. The real question here is:  Are they to young? Do they have real experience in related projects? Who are they?
8.- And for the last my favorite, take time to read the whitepaper, I have see projects running on FIAT that can be explain in two power point slides, but all the information is supported by real studies that we looked when we are making the due diligence part of the project.
I have seen ICOs asking more than 10 million in USD with a white paper of 30 pages at all. And for sure they have never run a project in their entire life.

I hope it is useful
Regards
Daniel

Thank you Daniel for detailed response.
I get your point about the team specially that relevant experience does matter alot in their respective domains.
That's good point you highlighted about in small letters they say we do not guarantee, i never noticed. And about whitepapers, I totally agree that it should not be lengthy enough but when you put some details, it eventually expands a little more.
can you please tell me why .io domain is alarm for you ? coz its cheap as compared to .com ??
19  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Hard to Decide Potential Projects on: March 02, 2018, 04:49:07 PM
I think, Potential Projects have:
+ Big Members on Twitter, Instagram, Medium, Facebook, youtube,... (social network)
+ Team dev: exposed face
+ Have advisors of crypto currency ( ex: vitalik buterin,...)  Grin

- I just said that social media hype is being created via referral campaigns (twitter, facebook page etc.). They reward you for liking and sharing their content.
- All ICOs have got this trick, now they include good advisers from block-chain etc. to attract community. For example; John Macfee, he recommends shitty ICOs which you probably never heard about them but people invest in those projects. I also have invested in a project he recommended and he is an adviser too but frankly i doubt on this project now.

20  Bitcoin / Project Development / Hard to Decide Potential Projects on: March 02, 2018, 02:54:43 PM
Hi,

It is becoming hard to decide which project has the potential. At early stages of crypto, it was a little easy to decide which ICO has the potential to grow lets say x100. Because one of the critical success factor of a project was its community or project hype which you can easy achieve nowadays by offering airdrops or referral campaigns. That's the reason telegram group of an ICO grows very quickly in days even in hours.

So, i would like to know from experts that how would you identify the project potential if project idea is not so different than its competitors and also teams are equally competent.

Thanks
Sheeda
