It works now, (without "-maxconnections=1 -connect=76.127.202.17"). I redownloaded and compiled, but I suspect that the problem was that I used the nodes from the ANN post.
What I like about "credits" isn't so much that it sounds cool. It's rather that it doesn't. All the other ones have some niche and tries to sound cool.
Cryptos are basically BTC, LTC, some POS, nondeScrypts and Quark. The security may be good enough for several decades, and that it's mined quickly may allow the price to stabilize better once we're all rich from it. It's the current crash will make the distribution even better, compared to the rest. It can enter btc-e on an attractive price. All the FUD has been disproved ad nauseam.
