1 GRA => 0.01$ (It will be worthy of the price at the moment).
But I'll wait at least 0.1 $  Smiley

Is 0.01$ your estimate of the current price? Or what you think it will be worth in the future?

OK, I have a question .. perhaps not specifically related to GRA, but it is a nice example.

Grain seems to have good support, active devs, rumours of cryptsy, etc. Seems all good.

So here's my question .. What / who decides the value (in btc/ltc) of an altcoin when traded on the forum, and more so, when hitting the first exchange? The amount of coins, mining speed, difficulty? Or just the guy that runs cryptsy?

Thank you all for the votes! I'm really happy my design came out on top Smiley

Because with IFC I am able to spam "IFC to infinity and beyond!"
My tip: A nicer logo. If you want I can give it a shot, if you like it its yours to use Smiley

bosian
Why not choose this logo?

I made it after bosian started the poll, and so dit Maconi with his Smiley. When the poll closes we can still change some minor details Smiley

Ow and I also made a few alterations (the text, and it looks way sharper now) and also added a less complex version (without the grain field centre)

Anyone else notice that #1 is the herbalife logo.. recolored.

https://www.google.co.in/search?q=herbalife&client=firefox-a&hs=0Rm&rls=org.mozilla:en-US:official&source=lnms&tbm=isch&sa=X&ei=OOSqUvnxAcymrQeu1IGwDA&ved=0CAkQ_AUoAQ&biw=1024&bih=492

Kinda funny.. lose weight with herbalife "GRAIN"... dont think we should use it..

Wow, just goes to show the simpler the design the more likely it is to already exist. Here I thought I was being original Sad lol. To be fair all of the logos are based off other designs, check the GRA thread for where we got our inspirations from.

Exactly.

I based my design on one of Maconi's earlier submissions Smiley

I'm really glad with the positive feedback on the logo, thanks guys!

I didn't want to mess up the logo poll topic with a new version, but I made a few adjustments so it looks even better (higher resolution, and more prominent text when scaled). So I thought I just post it here ..

I also followed paladin281978's advice and changed the text to GRAIN - GRA - GRAIN - GRA .. etc. Ofcourse I can change it back. (Or for example change the grain field background if it's too complex, but that's of later concern ..)

Without white background or shadow

Without white background but with shadow

With white background and shadow

And one with a plain centre (no grain field), without background and shadow

So .. please all vote in the poll topic! Cheesy

As the maker of the second logo, I voted for the best one of my competition Smiley

#1 is the best by far.

#2 is good, but can't be used commonly. It's too complex.

#3 is the Coffeecoin logo. Tongue

Could you please clarify your comment? (so I can change it for the better)

I made a few alterations (the text, and overall sharpness when scaled), that can be found here (so I don't mess up this topic with other pictures).

One of them is without the grain field coin centre background thingy, so it looks less complex.

Hello all!

New to the forum and cryptocurrencies, and with a few hours of spare time on my hands, i decided to give the GRA logo a shot .. Hope im not too late? I am no photoshop professional, more of an amateur hobbyist, but still ..

Thanks to Maconi for the inspiration for the grain-thingy in the circle. I went with gold, perhaps not that original, but it kinda is the color of wheat/grain, and in my opinion it looked nicer then the brown from Maconi's picture A. Personally I also prefer the one with the letters over the one with the plain edge.

I am ofcourse open for suggestions, improvements, comments, etc. Let me know what you think, changes are no problem Smiley

16  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Bitcoin Difficulty Estimations on: December 12, 2013, 01:02:12 AM
I have an estimation, and it is UP.

The difficulty is based on the hardware people are ordering and putting into service. You would need to investigate the possible delivery dates of several different ASIC miner companies and the hash power that they will deliver. Since a lot of this is contract mining companies or vendors that keep their sales figures a secret, the best anyone can do is guess.

Newest miners are power efficient, the main factor is that they may never pay for themselves in Bitcoins.

And when making any kind of estimations about the difficulty because you want to calculate your mining profits or ROI, you also have to take into account the price of bitcoins, or at which rate you are planning to sell them.

Sapphire trixx should enable you to change your gpu voltage settings under windows.

And otherwise your problem of possible overheating (cause i recon that is why you want to lower the voltages) could be solved by setting max temp's / fancontrol? No idea what kind of software to use for that, but there are enough options.

And otherwise BIOS settings?
18  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: I just bought my first Bitcoins? Experiences? on: December 11, 2013, 09:49:17 PM
I bought 7BTC in 2010? for €50, totally forgot them till 2 weeks ago, and got very happy Smiley

Currenty trading at BTC-E with a total of 10,532BTC, and transferred about 0,5BTC to cryptsy to buy some altcoins (COL, MEC, WDC, DVC, SEX, and NET). Made sell orders for x10 the worth for the cryptsy coins (in case anyone decides to pump one, and because i don't like daytrading @ cryptsy).

ATM all in on LTC @ BTC-E @ $29.2

I am happy with BTC-E, and think i am seeing the patterns of when to buy, sell and rebuy again.

No experience with coinbase though ..
