1  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: EWBF's Cuda Equihash Miner 0.5 on: August 27, 2018, 10:17:50 AM
Hi. I am having trouble with mining ZERO.

I am running 8x GTX 1060 6 GB on windows and when mining with EBWF Equihash 0.5 miner on suprnova mining pool I only get 6/8 GPU's working. Nothing wrong with the GPU's since they work just fine mining something else. The error says out of memory.

Help please

3  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / What to mine next? on: March 22, 2018, 05:48:34 PM
Hi.

I am runing a rig 8x1060 6 GB. Till now I have been mining BTCZ. Now I am thinking to change to something different.

Looking for recomendations on what to mine. What coins have a nice upside? I know it's imposible to say which coins will make it and which wont.

I was thinking of GoByte but to be honest I don't know if that is a good coin or not. I am not looking for a most profitable coin at the moment but a coin that has good potential, maybe also masternodes that are not imposible to reach.

Please I would love to get your help and hear your recomendations.

Thank you very much

My question however is this safe to do? Do some mining on the same computer that I will have wallets on?
As a miner myself, I never faced any issues for doing those (just make sure to back up everything [regarding wallets]).

CPU mining means mining from your computer using a graphics card.
That's GPU mining, not CPU.

i think better you separate the mining and the wallet, if you put it together it will make you confused later
Care to elaborate (highlighted part)?

In other words am I more open to hacks if I mine sometimes with the computer that I have wallets on? Keep in mind I plan to move the coins to nano ledger as soon as I get them.
As long as you're connected to the internet, there will always be a risk.

Thank you for your answer. I know there will always be risk but now I see that there is no greater risk because mining is going on Smiley

Thanks again Smiley

Well since nano ledger S are hard to get right now I plan to store my main coins in wallets with the same computer that I will use sometimes for fun mining. I also have a mining rig 8xgtx 1060 6gb.

But my main concern is if it is dangerous to store crypto on the same computer that mines sometime. In other words am I more open to hacks if I mine sometimes with the computer that I have wallets on? Keep in mind I plan to move the coins to nano ledger as soon as I get them.

Thank you!
6  Other / Beginners & Help / Wallet and mining computer? on: March 07, 2018, 09:46:41 PM
Hi.

I plan to buy a new computer that I will use during the day for some office work and some very amateur picture and video editing. I also plan to put some wallets on that computer.

Since the computer I was looking at has a GTX 1050 TI graphic card I was thinking more for fun then for any real profit to add another graphic card and start mining over night since computer is turned on most of the time and maybe one day the coins I mine will 10x and it will be profitable Smiley

My question however is this safe to do? Do some mining on the same computer that I will have wallets on?

Thank you for your help

Thank you.

I am not looking to mine ETH. My plan is to mine newer coins and hope to see them rise one day. Maybe a stupid experiment but I figure I can build a cheap mining rig with 6x 1050TI and hit new coins when they come out for few weeks when mining is easy. Get some stock of it and move to the next one...one will surly be a winner. Or is my thinking totaly stupid? Smiley

Hello guys,

I want to make a rig, so please can you tell me which one these cards will get me fastest ROI. It doesn't matter what altcoin it mines, I am gonna cash out quickly. My electricity costs .08$

- INNO3D GTX 1060 6GB -  424$

- MSI GTX 1060 3GB OC -   351$

- INNO3D GTX 1070 -         585$ - 620$  (price not 100% confirmed)

- ASUS RX 570 4GB ROG STRIX OC - 470$

- SAPPHIRE Pulse RX 570 4GB OC - 478$

- Asus Radeon RX 580 OC Edition 4GB DUAL - 509$

- Asus Radeon RX 580 OC Edition 8GB DUAL - 580$

- ASUS GTX ROG STRIX RX VEGA 56 OC 8GB (3fans) - 1015$

These are my local retailer's rate. Thanks.

I am also looking for good ROI rig and I am thinking about GTX 1050 TI. Those are 4 gigs and are really cheap price compare to others...

10  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Mining rig from GTX 1050 TI on: March 06, 2018, 08:59:18 PM
Recently the only normal prices left for GPU's are the GTX 1050TI which are 4 GB's cards.

My question is if I buy them today, will they be able to mine something in 3 years or will the cards be too weak to mine at that point?

Thank you
11  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Mining plans for 2018 on: March 05, 2018, 08:35:04 AM
Thank you all for answers.

Well I did started by investing in the coins. Sadly when I got in (and I was dumb and unexperienced) the market was at it's all time high Smiley So on some coins I am sitting at a loss but my HODL spirit is strong Smiley

It's so strong that I keep on thinking about throwing in more FIAT since I see all the cheap prices and big potentials. Right now I have put in 70% in to coins and 30% in to mining rig.

Am thinking of adding more to mining Smiley

How do you guys find the interesting coins to mine?

Thank you
12  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Mining plans for 2018 on: March 04, 2018, 06:16:58 PM
What are you mining plans for 2018?

I just got in to mining with 8x GTX 1060 6 GB's and am mining BTCZ at the moment.

I am also thinking hard about expanding my mining operations but I don't know if it's worth it? For example if I spend 4000 $ on a new rig and then start mining to get this money back...wouldn't it make more sense to just buy some coins for 4000$ and hope they rise? The reason for this question is beause I am new to mining and am looking for reasons that mining is actually better choise.

Let's get the debate going Smiley
