1  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: DERO BLOCKCHAIN: CryptoNote Privacy + Smart Contracts on: February 24, 2018, 10:26:35 AM
Hello all,

I'm new to cryptocurrency and after spending so much time reading through these forums, I think it's finally time to join in and since Dero has caught my attention the most, I am making my first post here to express my support of this project.

I'm fairly conservative when it comes to things like participating in crypto and alt currency projects, but I really believe in the premise and potential of the Dero and my confidence in the development team has led me to try mining for the very first time.  I don't have access to my better desktop at the moment which would be more suited, but because the Dero environment can scale down to suit the machine that I'm currently using, I can still participate.  I might only be chipping away, but every chip is both progress and an opportunity to learn more.  After all, since I'm on my computer already, then I might as well give Dero a try because what's there to lose?

That said, another member here made a comment about the value of our developer team's willingness to communicate and I can't stress my agreement on the matter enough.  It's important.  It really, really is and I say this because I have seen firsthand how communication can effect a company's health which then affects customer / consumer confidence.

I work in the administration department for my company which is in the business of sales (completely unrelated to alt currency) and because of it, I have access to company reports which include metrics for customer and consumer satisfaction.

Better communication between the company and its customers and consumers = better consumer confidence and company health... which equals to better real-time and future-projected metric scores... which equals to improved confidence in investors and potential customers and current consumers... which equals to improved company health... and the cycle continues.

In other words, there's an undeniable positive correlation between customer service and support and customer and consumer satisfaction and similarly, there's an undeniable positive correlation between customer and consumer satisfaction and company health.

Dero may not be a big thing yet, but if the communication (and other things) continues to be as consistent and positive as it has been since the start of the project, then there's the promise of long-term satisfaction and health for everyone who's involved. The fact that there's a positive community building up around the project is very encouraging.

So, as someone who's interested in the long-term and because I believe in not just the premise of Dero, but also the people involved, I'm in.

Thanks for reading and I'm looking forward to seeing the Dero project grow.
