Someone buy my Alfa nic! A little backstory...

I got it for backtrack and while it worked good in monitor/inject mode, actually trying to connect to an AP that had less than almost full signal would fail. I tried with the latest compat-wireless drivers and firmware with no avail. In Win7 X64 I could connect to the AP that previously failed so I think its something in my driver/firmware combo. The Atheros chipset is supposed to be well supported but I don't want to tinker with making it work for my purpose. I have the receipt from amazon where I bought it not long ago I just don't want the hassle of returning it. Gonna try one of the Realtek or Ralink Alfa's out next!

They seem to work ok from my end, try it again if not I'll send them to you directly. Perhaps you are using NoScript or something similar?

Maybe it's because those are in a album, try the links below for the zippos.

They are not scratched that is the actual finish. That is why there are several pics, just couldn't seem to get a good enough one. And the seam on the back of the one on the left is not broke, it just looks that way.

Dead Sapphire 5830 MAKE ME AN OFFER + $5 Shipping http://imgur.com/a/zCY9K

Thanks for the offer but I need to something that plugs into the wall. The butane ones are great for portable work like car stereo installs or other misc wiring though!

Lol I'm not in it for the coinage, I just like solving problems.

FYI - If this actually is Amazon EC2, you're not going to be able to get outbound mail service unless you use an authenticated SMTP relay. All of their ranges drop mail traffic or are intentionally blacklisted.

If he is on EC2 this form should take care of that no? I do understand that they have strict volume limits but according to Amazon, filling out the form can raise that limit, allow him to set rDNS for the elastic IP and submits the elastic IP for removal from known blacklists?

Actually whatever error it shows in the mail logs gives us a way to troubleshoot the problem. Postfix is usually pretty descriptive in the error department.
15  Economy / Services / Re: 1BTC to assist me with sending/recieving email on my ubuntu server on: August 17, 2011, 04:51:27 AM
Well most VPS/Cloud providers set the hostname automatically from the information you give them when you initially order the VPS, slice, etc. There maybe a place to set/change it from the control panel of whatever provider you are using. I'd check and make sure it isn't misconfigured or something along those lines. It's also possible that the provider has a script to set the hostname on your server on boot, perhaps you are setting it on the server and the control panel is reverting it to whatever is configured in the panel when you reboot.

"Relay the email from your SMTP server to your ISP's SMTP server.
Add the following option to /etc/postfix/main.cf:
relayhost = smtp.yourisp.com"
EDIT: It might be working fine but just bouncing back because of the address its sending from, if the sending address is wonky, take a look at this
http://www.postfix.org/ADDRESS_REWRITING_README.html#canonical

Shoudn't have to relay the mail unless hes running the mail server off a home connection and the ISP is blocking traffic on port 25, which quite a few do unless you pay for a business connection.
17  Economy / Services / Re: 1BTC to assist me with sending/recieving email on my ubuntu server on: August 16, 2011, 09:37:00 PM
Have you set the hostname for the box? Postfix won't send mail unless it can verify its own domain.

Pictures?

Location?

This. I'm interested as well, but I may need to be walked through the escrow thinger.

Escrow/Moderator is basically a trusted 3rd party that a buyer would deposit funds with and mediate the trade process. The funds would be held till such a time as you receive and verify the item, after that you authorize the 3rd party to release the funds.

I've honestly never used either but I am assuming BTCrow could be used for escrow. I have no reputation aside from buying a few things with coins here on the forum but I'm willing to provide any information available to facilitate a trade.
