Not quite sure why I'm mining this coin. 25k on my GTX 680 and still going... but, why should I continue? Thoughts?

where is the client? its a dead link, there is no client!!!!

I just uploaded it to Dropbox for you. I didn't make any modifications, this is the exact copy of the originally available download.

https://www.dropbox.com/s/s3a72vh0gqbqbb7/xivra-qt.exe

someone please check that client for things n stuff, you know? please

untill not confirmed i will not use it,

VirusTotal might show something as it did when I ran it the first time I downloaded it. But others checked it (look in prior posts) and stated it showed false positives. No worries if it's not trusted... the web and a random user (like myself) can be scary.

But if it does have something negative, please let me know because I'm using it, too.

The first day I got like 40k in a few hours (2) now only 8k in 7-8 hours? the difficulty can't have raised that much?

it has (:

And now it's going back down. The difficulty is less than 1.2 now, right?

It appears as though the network hashrate is starting to decrease. It's about half of what it was, is this an indication of a lack of interest or something else? I don't mind at the moment as it allows my little 200KHs to make a difference. I'm up to 10k+ in my wallet and a few more in the pool.

mining it now.

Same... just in case it gains in value. Nearly 4k thus far... only a GeForce 680 so I'm quite limited on my hashrate.

Wait... wait... there is a virus or malware or something in the QT? WTF!?

No.... back to having issues again. I really like this pool when it's working. But that's not as often as I'd need it to be.

Everything is running pretty smoothly for me. Even though it's had a rough start, it's the best pool I've used thus far.

... and I'm back.

At this point, I'd like to just be paid out and then be done with it. I might not have as much as some others, but ~30k is enough to notice for me.

I had to switch from this server to Poolerino. I was sitting at 0 unconfirmed for a couple hours... unsure if my time spent during that period is wasted mining. I appreciate what you're trying to do, and being new myself I can understand that there will be hitches. I might come back, even if just to reach the 50k payout threshold.
13  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why are there so many DOGEcoins? Won't that make the value extremely low? on: December 12, 2013, 05:20:55 PM
After looking around a bit I noticed that there will be 1 billion DOGE coins. Wouldn't that end up with people having tons of them, and them lacking any actual value?

It's actually 100 billion.

How easy? Easy enough to make some at .1 GH/s?

I have a GeForce GTX 680 that is getting ~200 KHs, while my pool generates ~200 MHs, and the net rate is ~600 MHs.
My card was getting ~120 MHs with Bitcoin. I just started last night and have 94k Dogecoins.
Sure, it's worthless... but it's hilarious and quite fun to be part of such a new community.

I guess. You will make maybe a thousand or something a day which will be worth a very little amount.

More like about 100k per day with the existing difficulty.

Yeah, running on Script Pools and it's been flaky a few hours ago and then it stabilized.
But there have been payout issues the last few days and I'm still waiting for mine even though I have 50k+ for a while now.
Going to bed soon so I hope to wake up with coin in my wallet.
15  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Dogecoins on: December 12, 2013, 08:48:41 AM
I just came upon Dogecoin today and began mining as well.
I won't buy any special hardware as it's too high of a risk and I have real-world expenses.
But it's fun mining a ridiculous one that will probably not go anywhere.

I'm using my GeForce GTX 680 and pulling ~200KHs... seems acceptable.
Just waiting to get my first payout in my pool of 50k Dogecoins.
